Camera app from E-Ten M500 on the Magician?!

Ok, this has to be possible or am I crazy of thinking this?! Look at the camera app for the E-Ten M500:

Isn't it possible to get it of the M500 and put it on the Magician, cause this would be a great upgrade over the one we have now. The specs of the M500 are very similar to that of the Magician, so I don't know why it shouldn't work. Any developers outthere who have a clue?!

I believe we need the camera app and the drivers as well.. god knows what else... :?
If programing a camera application is that easy ( as for Symbian OS ) we would have seen plenty of these stuff around the net... yet I might be wrong ( and I hope so :wink: )...
it's always a nice idea to have better things for your PPC...

I understand. But when you see what many developers here have already accomplished (like with WM5.0), getting this camera app to work on a Magician must be a piece of cake, right. Mista Buzz Lightyear or some other developer might want to take a look at it. (I know that every HTC owner on this forum wants a better camera app)

I totally agree..
but none of these developers has M500 with him ( as far as know ) and this complicates things a little bit..
For instance.. if Buzz had a magician.. we would certainly see a WM 5.0 for it... but unfortunately, he does not have one...
so developing ( or creating a hack ) for a camera application from a different producer would be even harder...
I know that every HTC owner on this forum wants a better camera app

i dont think its possible as the camera hardware from eten and magician is totally different..
but more possible, get the bluetooth programms of the eten, which also uses microsoft bt stack, and try to get it working on the magician. the eten uses the ms bt stack but with another programm on top of th ems bt stack which allows the user to have all those funky profiles

I have to admit, a forum for the Charmer would be nice. I have one of these, and while looking for information, I've found some stuff in the Magician forum, some in the Wizard forum - it's a bit all over the place at the moment.

Charmer-Forum would be great. Any admin out there?

Mmmmm charmer forum. How many posts do you need about removing logos with sugar-cubes- it crashed 5 times a day - it's slow - and wi-fi card don't work in it - but we lover it all the same.

I guess the problem is there are so many HTC models and variants that it would become a nightmare to administer. That I know of the 'magician' form factor covers about 20 different flavours of hadware, o/s and carrier personalisation.

a charmer forum would be nice, but is it really worth it for one phone in one variant on one network. be a bit like have a k-jam forum or a c500 forum etc

Yes, the MDA Compact II is the only Charmer and imo most likely will be the only Charmer now the Prophet is out.

Sorry to go off (my own) topic ... but by what name does the HTC call the O2 Atom ?

PS. do a google image search for 'HTC Athena' and you'll see why I thought the Atom was made by HTC

The concensus seems to be that the HTC Prophet was in its early development known at the HTC Athena

If you look at this image, you can see that Atom is not a 'Magician' type, it seems much smaller. I wonder why doesn't HTC sue them for .. design copyrights.

On Saturn Liberty™ Desktop Mobile Optional Media Player (TCPMP) it detects the new codec as “Windows Media Audio 9 Professional”
That’s because the player has out-of-date codec’s but we will provide one update for all Windows Mobile Devices soon.
Also on SLDMOMP because the old codec it detects the speed in the wrong way it could say that the bit rate is : 50 to 90 Kbps.
That is not the real bit-rate, the real bit rate is : 12603Kbps

but still there is one way to run it. i know that the speed is dead but it's a hobby for me
NOTE: this may damage your device so install at your own risk... or uninstall after u saw the TF3D because it has nothing for u

touch flow 3d needs a 3d hardware compatibility that opal hasn't..

Our devices don't have 3D acceleration.

this is opal structure, it is based on omap 850... you can see 2D accelerator only...
touch 3g is MSM7225 based device... and I think MSM7K family has a 3d hardware accelerator...

In first. Disable any today plug in. Than install the cab. After that reboot device. Than wait until it's start.
You will be disappointed, cozz it is ugly slow and you will see only white layers!

Maiby your rom have missing something! I am using Jogan2 rom!
