He is not normal.

Not sure if it's an issue or just the way IPS is or just my eyes.
There are faint lines going across the screen. Well, not really lines, more like weird phasing or something happening.
The lines run from right to left (or right to left lol) if it's in portrait mode. Top to bottom if in landscape mode.
Best words I can use to describe it are banding/phasing. Never seen anything like it.
It happens all across the screen all the time. Maybe it's just the touch sensor layer I am seeing ??
Didn't notice it in the first one I got but I didn't use it much (returned it right away, stuck pixels)
Any ideas ?
Honestly, I noticed this too... I have two thick lines I can see that is most prominent in the settings menu, with the grey gradient... it bothered me, so I exchanged it; lo and behold, my second unit had the same thing.
Quality control with Nexus devices is amazing...

Yes I noticed this awhile back too. While it annoys me I'm not in the settings menu too much so I try to forget about it
I'm having a problem with faint horizontal lines flickering across my screen. I only really see it against a gray background. So if I set my wallpaper to a gray or grayish image, or open the image in gallery, the lines appear and sort of vibrate. Then it gets worse when I swipe between home screens, pinch to zoom, or even if I hold my finger just above the screen without touching it. Moving the s-pen above the screen makes the lines even more pronounced. The best way I can describe it is that it sort of looks like the lines that you would see when you fast forward a VCR tape. At first I thought it was a color banding issue but I'm not sure since it's worse when touching the screen and using the s-pen. The lines are just visible enough to be annoying.
Has anyone else seen this or have a suggestion? I attached the image that makes it lines most visible if anyone feels like testing it on their phone. I would hate to take a refurb from Verizon if the problem is present on all Note 3's.
Yep. squares, allot of them.
i had this issue since day one with kitkat, lollipop didn't help.
i can't view or edit .doc or .pdf if it has squares on it, also some website's. Just watching a picture with squares (like in attachment) make it lag or unresponsive until i turnoff the screen and then rotate it, whene i rotate the phone the issue will disappear.
Worth noting that on sun light i can see vertical lines of the digitizer. like in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2590622
My theory is that when the squares line up with the digitizer lines it make it unresponsive...
also the same issue as this video, it's a very rare issue whene the screen is unresponsive on the top right if it's flat on a table. but when i touch it anywhere it becomes responsive again

if anyone have the same issue, or can help me solve mine, is welcomed with his suggestion.
Hello. Facing an odd issue. When using rear facing camera I see several horizontal lines and one vertical line. Please see attached images. Any idea what could cause this? Is there a fix or it's a warranty/hardware issue. The phone was not dropped. It might been exposed to sub freezing temps for a few minutes during the hike.
any thoughts? is my camera doomed without hardware intervention?
help me xD
I am having the same problem man did u solve it plz isf u can help me
Hello. Can somebody tell me what are this veretical lines on the screen? They can be seen only on artifical light or outside on a bright day, mostly when the screen is off. They look like blured like scratched, I'm not sure, even they are not problem for the screen. I bought the phone like this. Thanks.
Maybe they came from extended use of a flip cover case? See creases in the pic (Nexus 7):
