Hi,
I've got a problem with the app tasker.
I am rooted without using SuperSU over cm12.1.
Tasker won't detect my root access.
What should I do?
Secure setting plugin is installed...
I've tried to manage the mobile data via secure settings plugin but it doesn't do the trick neither...
any suggestions?
Go into Settings > About and tap the build number several times, until you get a notification saying "You are now a developer!"
Then go back to the main settings screen and look for Developer options. Go into developer options and look for Root acces. Tap on that and set it to Apps. Or set it to apps and adb. Done. Otherwise just install SuperSU from the playstore

I've already enabled root access via CM.
That wasn't the problem.
I found a solution if anyone stumbles on that thread:

Hey, I need some help. In the service code *#9900# I hit "Enable silent logging from boot" and now I can't disabled it?! I get a toast notification on startup that silent logging cannot start check my debug setting. I hate this and there is a service running called "SiletLogging" siletlogservice and com.sec.modem.settings. It is annoying and taking up resources. Any help would be great! I went o the silent logging app in the ap manager and cleared cache, tried clearing cache partition on the phone itself, etc. I tried enabling debug and then enabled silent logging and disabling but I am unable to stop the silent logging from running? I tried going to the silentlogqcom file and changing from a 1 to a 0 but it didn't work. I don't want to have to reset my phone to undo this. Arg, I'm an idiot! This is a stock T-Mobile Note 3 running Android 5.0.
Thanks a million!

OK I think I fixed it. I went into the application manager in settings and went to apps diagmonagent, devicetest, factory mode, service mode and silent logging and cleared data and cache in each. Then I cleared all cache data in storage settings, then went to recovery (turn off phone and hold volume up and home while pressing and holding power until you see recovery in little text on the Samsung logo you can release) and cleared system cache and also disabled cp logging in there too for good measure. When I restarted the phone the silent logging was gone and my normal system resources were back to normal. Man I got lucky! Won't mess with that anymore but at least if someone else does they have a fix which is why I am leaving this here for future people who mess up like myself!
Once using silentlogging its in autostart. You can use an App like Power Clean or ES task manager then look for autostart option find silentlogging and disable its autostart. That is easiest way to fix and it works. I had same Problem. Please be careful and do not disable every task.
Good day.
I received my Nexus 6P today, which is running Android 6.0.
By default, the device is encrypted. But it seems most apps that I try to run that require encryption don't realize that my device is encrypted and I'm getting errors and loops: Gmail, Sunrise, Mailwise, Outlook.
Is there something I can do to get these apps to work?
I don't seem to be able to disable and re enable encryption.
Is this happening to anybody else?
6P has hardware encryption. You need to encrypt it through software also.

Thank you. That seems to fix it. For those people googling this you get there from Settings > Security > PIN Lock > Secure Start-up
Not a very intuitive fix and should probably be bundled with the encryption settings.
I skipped through the startup to unlock and root the phone immediately when I got it and I didn't get the option for secure startup afterwords, took me forever to find that setting.
Hi All,
As usual it is the first place for me to look for help.
I updated my A5 2016 device with the latest security update. While installing, I was assured that i would be able to uninstall that update.
I couldn't.
But this is not the actual problem.
Now I am unable to grant permissions to apps like Camera, Storage etc because whenever I try to do that it says Screen Overlay Detected on which screen none of the apps are turned on including the system apps. I am really annoyed with this feature (or bug) of the Android Marshmallow. I seek your help in solving this.
I am rooted with custom Xposed ver 86.
Try unchecked all screen overlays, even system app ones? Also, there might be another screen overlay that might not hv been listed. Eg: if u hv pie with gravitybox enabled you have to disable it in the app itself.

Thank you so much for the valuable Help.
I recently found that some of my apps crashed suddenly and that the following error popped up: Unfortunately Phone has Stopped, Unfortunately ES File Explorer Has Stopped.
After I click OK it pops up again. So in a wonderfully foolish step I uninstalled the Phone App and now the phone will not reboot.
I uninstalled Xposed but nothing helped. Finally after lots of research on XDA and otherwise I flashed The Stock Firmware for my Phone SM-A510FD.
It rebooted just as fine but now the same problem is there and is not resolved. Moreover if i Open some app like Play Books while i am getting the error, the popup of the error stops until i open the Phone app again. I opened my phone in Safe MOde and saw that the same problem is also there which means it is not caused by some third party apps. PLease help.

I seem to have found the solution for the problem regarding crashing of the Phone App. The Phone App uses Screen Overlay in which we select SIM1 or SIM2. Turning that off would result in hampering its functionality. After i did turn on the screen overlay for Phone App, it is functioning just as fine and no crashes for atleast the phone app. I wonder to what lengths i went to solve this issue and the issue lied in my thing only.
I tried to enable multiprocess WebView in Developer options by checking the box, but this option became unchecked right after I exited the Dev options screen.
There seems to be other options that have this weird behaviour too, "Automatic system updates" for example.
FYI, Chrome is up to date. I tried changing to Android Webview (also up to date) but that doesn't help.
Anyone facing the same problem or knowing how to fix this? Thanks in advance.
Or if anyone CAN actually enable this option, please let me know. In that case maybe I should reset my device.
