Does anyone know what Radio the Rogers ROM came with other than 1.42? Can we put another publiccally available ROM on the phone (i.e. did it ever come with 1.38 or other Radio)?

hi guys, here is my best i got rogers wm5 rom cooked in this file.
its a wm5 rom file that will put back rogers os on it and Enhanced caller id with name dispaly working.

I'm running an O2 ROM cooked up at Yorch's kitchen. However, decided to try out the Qtek 3.18.04 based on the link posted by Othman since my device is (or was, once upon a time) a Qtek...
However, I'm unable to install the Qtek upgrade on this rom on account of version or model conflict. Downloaded AdaptROM once more (thinking my version was corrupt) but running it before the upgrade programme does not seem to help at all.
Has anybody else experienced the same?
if you took a backup of the org rom you got with the device you should put that back on and then run the upgrade

i have 2020i we called it alpine i upgrade my rom with pug rom (O2 1.11.162 uk radio 1.04) and its great

Hi,
I recently aquired a Qtek 2020i, and this is my first time in the PDA world, but it hangs all the time. So I'm hopping you guys can help me to update the ROM to something more stable.
I've been around the forum and found out how to backup my ROM to a SD card, so that is what i'm going to do first... to be safe.
Now I've downloaded this ROM version. And, by the read me file included in the rar file, it will be very simple to run the update... Actually I thought it would be very much harder
The question is:
Must I thake any special security steps other than the original ROM backup? Or can I just go for the update?

Just a quick question and I hope you guys can answer me.
I have got the MDA Vario with T-Mobile and have upgraded the ROM to 2.17.7.2 WWE (this is the Qtek Rom) and it works just great.
My question is, however, can I downgrade this ROM to the original T-Mobile ROM it came with?
I am wondering since I want to send the phone back to T-Mobile but am worried if they see I have upgraded it they will not take it back.
Please help.

You'll need to use lokiwiz to unlock the device and then reinstall the opriginal ROM. As you have an AKU2 ROM you'll need to downgrade the ROm first to an old custom QTEk ROM and then run lokiwiz to unlock then re-install the ROM. There s along post on this forum or the upgrade forum on how to do this. There are alos posts re putting the device back into it's original state if you need to ship it back to a vendor - can't find them just now but would suggest you trawl the forums... painful though it may be

Thanks JoninLA, the phone is unlocked using Loki already as that is how I upgraded the ROM, but I will make sure I have unlocked it and then install the original ROM from the T-Mobile site.

I recently upgraded my HTC P3300 with official WM6 and seems got a problem with GSM1800 network. GSM900 works just fine. the symptoms are: it connects to the network (I able to make a call), in about 10 minutes still shows network coverage, but I am not able to call and no one can call me.
If I restart GSM software (in comm manager) it starts working.
I think it is relative to WM6. Do someone has official WM5 ROM Russian? I would thank you very much!

I have a O2 HD2 running ROM 1.43.70315 and would love to start flashing custom ROMs but need a copy of the origional to restore to for warranty purposes.
Ive managed to located a setup called RUU_Le2_UK_1.43.206.4_Radio_Signed_15.26.50.07U_2.04.50.22_2_Ship which seems to be an older ROM than mine.
Does anyone have a copy of 1.43.70315?

Hi, I too would like an official 1.43 o2 ROM.
flashed mine with hspl to official 1.48, and now I have the SMS bug where txts get stuck in the outbox. never had that problem before so am wondering if i can revert back to 1.43, especially as htc's hotfixes don't do anything, and can make it worse...help any1????

i know its not the exact build your after, but its an official o2 UK rom
i bet the small difference in build will go unnoticed if you return the phone for warranty anyway
i have checked it myself and it is the o2UK rom i got with my leo from o2

I too am on O2 UK and I have just done the HSPL to update my radio.
When I looked at my ROM version before this it read as follows:
ROM version
1.43.206.4 (70315) WWE
ROM date
11/06/09
I think the link in this thread may actually be the ROM you're looking for.
