I have unlocked it. I installed the TMobile ROM on it and have unlocked the extended ROM.
It also comes with a spare battery, an extended battery, spare headset

i have recently (last month) bought 2 unlocked pdas from totalpda. the service etc is very good but be aware that the items are not new. they are refurbished models. my ones are fine, although you can tell they have been used. also you dont get the handsfree kit or the cd-rom that normally comes with it.
if you do get one from them, DO NOT do the OS upgrade suggested by o2 as this will greatly interfere with any other service providers settings. which is the problem i have now!

i think that the units are new, but come with charge cables instead of cradles.
get the impression that they have them in stock on a time to time basis.

thank you, i called Preston Telecom (i think) they were very helpful, but as you said their stock has been deplenished. again they are not new but from the descrition they may as well be. thanks again for the advice.

I bought mine from ebay UK from a guy who has contract with upgrade with O2 but doesn't need the phone and it was new. I had to use the xda manipulator to unlock the phone for use with vodaphone which I am using. There are quite a few guys selling new xda sets for about £200 for the 32m version and £300 for the 64 mb version. I got mine for £290(in April 03) but it should be worth less now (maybe £250 to £300). You do not need to pay exorbitant price for a new one and you got to make sure the guy selling the phone is not a cheat. So far all my purchases with ebay UK is quite safe and you could use a escrow service (intermediate service for a small fee which holds your money until the goods is delivered in good order before paying the seller) for added precaution. There is also a company in ebay UK selling the new 64mb xda for £149 (previously £199 only 3/4weeks ago) with a contract with O2.
thanks for the advice i am familiar with ebay, its an ok market place, but tend to be secondhand. i think i am going to go for the option buying a new one with O2 and unlocking it myself, thanks anyway.
Check Ebay under the name microbomb, I'll be listing 6 or 7 used but fully functional demo XDA IIs for a $600 buy now price. There's one on there right now that doesn’t have a battery or any OS loaded for $350. Ill be listing the other ones shortly so if you want a good deal check it out.

Hey guys, ok sorry it took so long, but I now have one xda II posted on ebay under Crimsondie. I cant do Buy now auctions because im new at ebay and I guess I have to sell 10 items before I can do that so I set the price at $600 and made it a short auction. Good luck. :wink:

Your first account has 18 feedback which means you could do a Buy It Now. But now you switched to an account that has been dead since Jan/Feb or something.
What's the catch? Who on this board has actually bought from you? Can we get testimonials? I think it is only fair since you are selling out of warranty (how can that be when it's only a demo) and old ROM devices.

Just got an XDA Exec as an insurance replacement. Its totally brand new, boxed with everything, works on all networks. Includes full 12 month warranty and receipt will also be supplied.
Looking for £275, payment on collection from Biggleswade, Bedfordshire or payment direct into bank account with halifax or natwest. Will part ex for XDA Mini S, XDA Mini, or decent nokia smartphone.

Have to say goodbye to my mda pro. Was bought a month ago and is in Mint conditon..with no marks or scratches. Was bought as an insurance replacement so is practically new condition. I've listed it on ebay if anyones interested. I've put Laurentius' WM6 rom and its working fine so far. Pm or email me if anyone has any questions.

It's not just the housing, it's a fully functional phone AND a SPARE housing.
$100 works out about £60 GBP, I was really hoping to get more then that considering all the parts.. I paid £40 for the spare housing, £20 each for the desktop cradles......
