Hi,
I do see that memmory is an issue in almost all the ROM's.
So is it possible too do a softresett by automatic??
I use Phonealarm and it is an option there too start a program/file when you use the automatic profileswitcher.
It is also programs like RunOnce and MortScript that could do this.
Is there anyone that knows what the command or programfile for "Softresett" is called??And is this possible??
Thanks anyone

Yes, you could try skschema or xbar:

CommMgrPro allows automatic SoftReset schedule
Now I didn't know CommMgrPro did that - very useful along with all the other things it does

Where did you get the idea for sktools? Good as sktools is it is skschema that can do the job - link in my first post.

Sorry not sure how to use the tools on Vijay's site, i've installed the VJPhone tools, which creates a few shortcuts in a folder, now do i edit these shortcuts or what? if so how, and how do i put these shortcuts on my Today screen.
thanks.
ump, have a look here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=26972&highlight=vjsms
Basically, you first need an explorer that will edit shortcuts.
I highly recommend GSFinder+.
Install that and navigate to \windows\start menu\programs\vijay555\vjphonetools
Then, choose the program you want, select the shortcut, choose copy and then choose paste. It will make a copy of that shortcut.
Edit that 2nd shortcut (so that you preserve the original shortcut as an example. Reinstall the cab if you foobar that one up by accident).
Edit the shortcut according to the description on my page, www.vijay555.com.
Just double clicking on any of the original files in \program files\vijay555\ will bring up a message box describing basically how to use each app.
I've got a forum on my webpage. You can post there, pm or email me, or always catch me here if you need help.

thanks, i'll give that a go.
cool, seems to be working, how do i change the shortcut icon and add a name on it.
thanks for your help.

VJ,
Where can I find GSFinder? I tried google and it keep giving me a site that leads to a Japanese site. I can't read Japanese. Can you please direct me on the right link?
Another question, can I install GSFinder on my SD Card and run it from there?
http://page.freett.com/todamitsu/GSFinderE.htm
GreenSoftware is great! yes, AFAIK you can stick gsfinder anywhere. I recommend a copy in Extended Rom just in case you screw everything and/or lose your SD card (which I've done), and need some way to explore around.

Thanks very much Vijay!
VJVolubilis
Dear Vijay,
I'm useing your tool, VJVolubilis and it does not work as I hoped.
When I use VJVolubilis -agon (or -agcon) I hear the sound over my bluetooth headset briefly. It also starts Voice Speed Dialer and as soon as that ends, the sound no longer goes over my headset, but through my phone again. Hope you can help me out.
I have a HTC Universal, Original T-mobile MDA Pro (dutch)
Rom: Imate 1.13.52 WWE, radio: 1.03.01.
Bluetooth Headset: I-Tech Arrow 1
Download VJVolubilis versio 0.21
Thnx in advance ....
sharky48: you need to post this in the VJVolubilis thread.
There is a registry hack in that thread to fix this issue (temporarily). I will make this feature automatic in VJVolubilis quite soon... when I get some time to update it.

vijaydevicelock
I recently uploaded your device lock and when i uninstalled it,
a notification error keeps popping up saying, "cannot execute \programfiles\vijay555\vjdevicelock\vjdevicelcok.exe" everytime i
unlock my tilt. ive reinstalled and uninstalled it a couple of times
but still doest work....
can you help me how to take it off please?
i don't understand ...
how can i run it from MY PC command-line ?
i want to send the press-key event from my PC CLI to the Pocket PC....
am i missing something here ?
if so please explain me how to do so....
hi everybody!
I have a problem...
Everytime, i wakeup my hermes, there is a message (i have to translate it into english
"Canot execute \Program Files\Liakeridge\Wisbar advance desktop\wakeup.exe"
thats funny, becaus i tryed wisbar desktop and deleted it directly... so i havn't installed it so far...
I tryed to rename an other app to "wakeup.exe" and put it there...
It works, but its not the best way when you wakeup your hermes and an useless app starts directly.
can you help me, how to fix this?
Sorry for my bad english
u said u deleted it? it seems to me that you installed wisbar advance and wakeup.exe was one of the parts to it that started up when you woke it up.
did you uninstall/remove wisbar properly? or just delete it? because that seems that there are still links to it in the registry.
UNINSTALL through 'remove programs' (or install it and then uninstall. see if that works.)
hey.
Thank you for your fast help, but i deinstalled the programm properly...
I only use the normal wisbar advance, and i tryed the desktopversion for 5 min and removed it than with the activsync tool.
Do someone has an other idea?
It sounds like de-installing the Wisbar Advance Desktop app might've messed something up with Wisbar Advance 2.
There are several things you might do to correct the situation, but without direct knowledge regarding what WAD needs installed vs what WA2 needs, I think it would probably be best to bring this question to the programs' author, Chris McKay.
Try reaching him on one of the forums he keeps at http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=23

Yes, SKTools Cleaning wizard will remove broken shortcuts, and that is the problem that you described. The question comes to mind, though, as to whether WA2 needed the app that the particular shortcut pointed to.
I guess in your case, it did not, and as such, WA2 is still working satisfactorily.

Thank you for the quick reply.... Cleartemp works like a charm.... not quite what I was looking for but I do believe it will be better this way....
Specifically I was wondering if it would just keep no more than 2 or 3 always in the list and if it was more it would rotate accordingly...
to Grinminded: I tried the cleartemp first and its working great... Thank you for your reply as well...
There is a htc big start menu thing that makes the shortcuts into a single row of big icons. It's pretty good.
Hi all , I need a help
How can I stop listing my recently opened documents??
actually, it is annoying !!! I hope your help friend
by the way, I use appl SKTools 4.21 to clear the list ..... but it is some thing bothering me ....
Thanx in advance for all
if your talking about the recent programs list in the start menu...theres a program called startclean, that clears the list every time you reboot, other than that, i dont know....
theres a link for the startclean.exe somewhere in the forums
the program wisbar advance allows you to not show the recent apps list at all. Its a cool little launcher program that I quite like and have used for a while. I'm trying out Ultimate launcher at the moment but like wisbar more. It is a commercial program but the benefits far outweigh the cost. There is a trial but I'm not sure for how long. Hope this helps.

It won't stop them getting listed as you use them but whenever StartClean (tiny wee cab, lots of copies of it posted around here) will make sure your start menu is clean whenevr you soft reset.
(I cook it into my ROMs every time, so useful).

Sorted....
As I said, Wisbar Advance 3 (for WM06) allows you to NOT SHOW recently used apps. It is part of the settings where you can pick if you want "help", "find", "desktop", "favourites" and recent settings" by ticking/unticking a box. You can also change the indicators across the top and their order. I would suggest this if you dont want to be troubled by "Recent Items" again... Cheers

Mm, I'm pretty sure that this or another app would be the only way to do that and ultramag69's suggestion of Wisbar Advance is probably the most popular option.
Other than that (if you don't want that running - it does do a lot of otyher, clever thigs you might also find yuo enjoy though) I think you'll have to search about, probably with Google or your own perferred search engine. there's probably some freeware aruond to do that task only and therefore be 'smaller' I'd have thought. StartClean does me as I do like to have the programs I just launched sat there but not on boot-up.
Hi,
Found this link. Haven't tried it yet to see if it just removes them temporarily or stops it from listing them, but worth a shot.
http://groups.google.com/group/microsoft.public.pocketpc/browse_thread/thread/d4537c1a66a31057
Let me know how it works
Disregard
Got Home and tried it and on mine under WM6 it doesn't work. Will keep looking.
I've noticed that S2U2 is able to read the info from pocketWeather.
I need to read this information from wm registries in order to use it in WAD.
Can anyone guide me through this ?
I know that mortscript would allow writing the registry so the main problem should be finding where the actual pocketWeather data is held.
Thanx in advance,
Bogdan

PW stores its data under HKCU\Software\SBSH\PocketWeather. There is a separate key under that for each location the user has defined, named by the eight-digit location IDs. Beneath those keys, you will find the weather details for each location.
Hope this helps,
-pvs

Did you manage to achieve anything? I am trying since quite some time to do the same, putting PocketWeather data - taken from registry - into a WAD page but with no success.
The registry section above contains a lot of data and I do not know how to extract only part of it (namely temp and forecast) and how to display it in WAD.
Can you share your way?
TIA
Graz.
