I had the chance to have a look at the sweety HTC TOUCH this morning. It is really smaller and thinner than our htc trinity. I like it so much. I noticed that navigation in menu was pretty faster than the one in the trinity with WM6 (I use last MunRus WM6 ROM)
that sounds interestin
but how about running apps or games?
Was the Touch loaded with programs ie today screen or was it a clean unit?
My Trinity works quite fast after a hard reset with nothing running. I noticed it slows down considerably once everything is loaded. My Magician used to run alot faster than the Trinity :-(
Can't beat built in GPS though

I tested wm5.0 rom on my xda-2 and but have degraded it to wm2003se because it was too slow in my device. I like the simply but nice "Today Screen Plugin" on wm5.0 to lock and unlocked device. I've looked for this kind of software to lock my device for a long time. But no one can be as good as the one in wm5.0. So does somebody can draw it out from wm5.0 rom or can advice me a software with similar function worked in wm2003se platform?
Thanks a lot!

The application you recommended occupies too much room, I'm looking for a small one with simple function. Anyway, thank you very much for the reply.
You could try screenGuard from www.pocketmax.net

it is for smartphones
i dont want to use touchscreen.
i just want to navigate with the hardware buttons.
really no way ?
has someone extract it ?
roms cant be shared between smartphones and pocketpc's
and nor can today screen items
but people could program that for pocketpc's but they would have to do it from scratch

almost OT:
there is SP home plugins wrapper available, although i couldn't test it more. few plugins seemed to work fine.
main problem i saw: messed up today background handling in these plugins/wrapper itself.
Anybody happen to have the smartphone (cab or oem pref.) version (fer me smartphone )
Hey guys,
Should i get a Wing or 8525?
Thanks
Of course i'm going to say wing.
spec wise, i'd go for the 8525
ic, I use a 8125 right now,
is the wing gonna run as slow as it?
does the wing also have limited storage like it?
but I do like how the wing is thin.
but i hate how it's blue...
thanks
Spec wise, it's very similar.
The wing, with a good ROM, will run better and give you more space. But then again... the 8125 will do the same with a good ROM. The Wing is thinner.
As far as speed: The WING with a good ROM can run pretty speedy. As far as storage: With my Just2Clean ROM, you'll have around 60+mb's free. But you need to have a microSD to flash it with my ROM.
And if you dont like the blue colour of the Wing, Buy a Herald.
Just a little suggestion
Yea, I'm trying to find one, But I can't seem to find one.
Buy an actual Atlas... that casing rocks!

But where!!!! LOL
Thanks in advance!
Hello Community,
I think yesterday i did a pretty dumb thing. I tried some Custom roms like manila 2d and cr86 touch hd. with this roms everything was working fine, but i am from germany so i decided to cook myself a rom with xions rom cooking kit.
the build os tool just worked fine, but i had some problem with the tool that completes the rom. Silly as i am i just ignored the problems and started flashing.
During the flash my wizard froze at 4% and on my windows xp pc i got an error. can't figure out which one it was.
After the flash my wizard doesnt turn on any more. i don't even get a bootscreen or the three coloured picture. a hardreset didn't work at all. i also put my mda vario on the wall charger all night, but the problem stays the same.
can you help me?
thanks in advance!

I suspect you have:

You can still sell it for parts, but it's unlikely it will ever work again.
if it's not possible to get the colored bootscreen with holding the camera button and press the on switch. Then you killed the htc.
Hi all,
has any of you ever come across any ports of HTC Phone Canvas to our Treo Pro (WM6.1), like the ones depicted below? I have been looking for this all over, but to no avail.

i personally havent, sorry. the problem with the treo is that the screen is 320x320... and almost every other phone made is not a square resolution. there is a program that is called iconsoft phone extension. it gives you a new dialer, contact screen, and phone canvas. it is $25, but there is a free 15 day trial. for me, i usually flash my phone every week or two... so the limit doesnt really matter
you can check it out, it is very nice and replaces the default phone application. it does suck about 2mb of ram however
http://www.iconsoft.com/?language=en&menu=62e094db10fc83b1
edit: it is really easy to use, and very finger friendly. i have tried using the different phone canvases, but they are usually hard to set up right...
yep, I had tried Iconsoft (PhonEx) before and have to admit it is very impressive indeed. Its footprint is discouraging as you have mentioned. On a relatively fresh system it works rather zippy but I wonder how things go with plenty other apps installed and running. Well, need to keep on looking and hoping for a port ...
