Atom has FM radio.

you can only use the streaming player to listen to radio stations.
Cheers
Jarvis

problem is that it dont have normal SDIO slots if it had
you could get plenty of SD cards which were FM radios
another option is that many headsets you can buy
comes with FM radio included
well maybe not many but you can get em

Radio possible P3600
The motherboard of the P3600 has an emplacement for a FM Radio chip, but most Trinitys do not have it. I believe somewhere in the world some company sells them with the FM Radio chip. Before buying I could have sworn that I saw it somewhere and since I have seen photos of the trinity motherboard with and without the FM Radio chip - on a French site PPC Cool - can't find the post right now.

FM Radio Please,,,

I'm sure i've spotted within another thread a picture of the board inside the artemis and trinity which basically showed them to be v similar... and an fm chip on the trinity board.
i'm going to be getting a trinity - probably the m700 when it hits the shops in london - but don't understand this fm radio thing (it would complete the product!)
does the dopod model not have fm radio on it's variant? if so, surely all trinity's do, no? is a variant not all about branding and software as opposed to the actual tecky stuff inside?
also, supposing the trinity doesn't have this fm chip... can we not get a plug which has the tuner on it then we just install some kind of software? - i'm thinking of these ipod remote controllers which give an ipod radio functionality.
great to see the gps problem solved - even if by way of leaked room - but lets finalise the trinity with an fm radio too!!
Sorry dude, no FM radio
Don't know about the plug, don't think it exists
official statement of HTC after question for FM Tuner:
That is correct with regard to GPS we are still awaiting an update to enable this on your device.
The P3600 does not have an FM receiver. There is one in the P3300.

FM radio????

Does anyone know if there is a FM radio in built or know some way to get on on the Dopod 838 PRO?
Thanks!
Kellogs cornflakes has them sometimes "inside" the box for free with certain promotions.
In all honestly buddy, u gotta read....
Don't know of an add-on fm tuner you can install, but if you have data services you can access www.thestreamcenter.com and you will find a link to just about every FM station in every market of the grand old USA.
I did read, for 30 mins.....just a simple yes or now would be really helpful
I read that the jasjam does have a radio......please any help is greatly appreciated!
yes the jasjam does have a radio.
......THANKS!, and to clarify that the dopod 838pro and the jasjam are the same unit internally??
So I need to search for a compatible rom with the fm radio enabled?
When I do a search for FM RADIO, all I recieve is radio in reference to the gsm radio.
Thanks for the tidbit of info!
I believe JJ was talking about the GSM radio in the phone. Don't get your hopes up.
Love your work JJ.
lol, ok, FM RADIO
To prevent possible further abuse, there isn't an FM radio built in to the phone. As someone posted earlier, you will need to stream any FM feeds that you want.
Resco Radio has worked fine for me.
Good luck though, let me know if you find it.
Thanks man ! i will keep reading..............................

Hi Guys,
New to the world of pda phones - using my first one now, so excuse if this sounds like a silly question.
I would like to know is it possible to adapt the Radio ROM of a Gene to act as a FM Radio receiver???
How come there are pda phones with FM Radios built into them?
Seen forums recommending SDIO card add-ons for FM radio applications, but thts an accessory.
I would like to know if this can be done and if yes how pls

FM Radio for Elf

Hey
Is there a cab of FM Radio for Elf??
Thanks
The Elf does not have fm radio, never has, never will. It is not capable as it does not have the hardware; however, if you want to try it anyway - Try the FM Radio cab for the touch diamond.
I have already trying this but it doesn't works... Thanks for your fast answer
Sorry, It doesn't work because it can't work. As I said before, No hardware in the elf for FM Radio.
If you have a good data plan - Use can listen to internet radio. This is what I do and I get much better selection of music to listen to with no *(or hardly any) commercials.
Ok, good idea
i know that there is no hardware in the elf but is there a mod you can do to add the hardware inside the phone? or is there a mini usb attachment to give you fm?

[Q] Development status for FM support.

Dear friends,
I had read in some threads about the existence of the BCM4329 inside the HD2, that it makes FM receiver AND TRANSMITTER options possible.
So, I was wondering about the chance of having FM transmissions possible, if things had progressed with the years (those news are from 2010, still focused on WM6.5), also thanks to the existence of very updated versions of Android, although it seems to me that nowadays an FM API is still not available to us.
Thank you.
What are you talking about? Where did you search for this? As a Google search you are Fired!
Just instal Spirit FM and you are ready to use FM Radio on your magnificent HD2. Plug the Headphones which are needed as antenna. Also the Radio will turn on Bluetooth because the chip to run FM radio is implemented into it.
Have Fun.

The only thing that I would like to add is that one of attached file is not exactly a datasheet but a simple brochure, at least in my opinion...

What is your point? I got HTC HD2 and I use Spirit and everything working fine. Where is your problem? Maybe you have the wrong Rom installed. I know someone complain with some rom but the hardware it's the same.
BTW, what FW trasmissions for?

Unfortunately, there hasn't been much progress on that field (as a matter of fact, there hasn't been any progress at all). If you read the replies in that thread, they couldn't make it work. The furthest the could get is to confirm that the HD2 indeed does have the chip.

He isn't talking about the radio receiver, he's talking about a radio transmitter. E.g. You run a special app, ask the app to transmit a song using radio. And then you can listen to that song, say, in a car using the radio. No wires/bluetooth connection needed. Simply tune in and listen. I really wished they did it.. what a pity.

Yeah, I figure out this at the end, my bad.
It will be a good option but the radio receiver will have to tune to a specific frequency and this part I think will be the issue here. In terms of words so simply but unconventional.
I think they don't do that for a national security.
