just saw one earlier in the week at the duty free shop at changi airport selling for S$1400.
also read in local magzines that certain resellers have a S$350 buy back (old XDA) offer going at present if one happens to be in downtown.
Official recommended reseller price at Funan shops and most retailers like Harvey Norman, Best Denki is $1528.- Most Funan shops will want to charge you %3 extra if you pay by credit card so go retail shop if you can. I have also seen a shop called Mohammed Mostafa on Serangoon road sell it for $1490.- and they do not charge extra for credit. Good luck.

Price of XDA II in Hong Kong is HKD6,688 (or USD860). Available in all the big electronics chain-stores. Don't pay a cent more. You can get it for slightly lower in smaller electronics shops if you are willing to take the risk.

I would think twice before spending silly money on the xda II. I'm not convinced that it's that much better than the xda - the camera doesn't seem very good, and everything else seems so similar.
I bought mine at www.mobilefly.com in Singapore.
All I can say is : every body there is professional. It costed me 811 €. The guy I'm in contact with is really doing a tremendous job. I had a problem with the screen 4 days after I received it (a line went off) and he paid for me to send it back there on his charge through FedEx and will send it back to me.
I really recommand them.

While I truly appreciate your efforts, jah, man, don't you think the postage to the US is a bit too high? I could stomach $55 via FedeX (ala Expansys UK) to the US but that would be in dollars and not UK Sterling.
Not trying to rain on your parade, but I have been looking to get an Exec so I thought I would take a look. The postage has thrown me off though.

Well yeah, it would certainly be cheaper than the $950 you paid for the JasJar. Although, if you know someone in the UK, the Exec can be had for under $620 which is a brilliant price.
Still a good deal for most Americans.
@dreamtheatre, O2 told me I couldn't buy any more Smartphones from them (I have a XDA Exec, Nokia 9500, Treo 650 & SE K750!). But I managed to persuade them and I know people in the US (and elsewhere) are keen to get the Universal in O2 colours! I know people here would really appreciate a device like this. I've been searching for the LG GT540 (preferably in pink) for ages now. Some of the sites I went to that say it is available and in stock on their site seem to look very shady (so you don't know what you're getting or if they are going to send you anything at all), such as n1wireless.com and bestnydepot.com. I was wondering if anyone had experiences ordering from these sites? What are some reputable sites that sell this model in Pink?
Bestnydepot.com offers free shipping and possibly no tax (I haven't checked out yet so I'm not 100% sure about the no tax offer). If they aren't out to scam people (no used, defective merchandise), then they have extremely good deals!
Some people have suggested welectronics.com. Did anyone have a good experience with them? Any free shipping?

You can buy it from Taobao in China and they do ship internationally. I have no experience with having products shipped outside but have ordered from the many time and they ship same day in China.
Price on Taibao is about 5200 rmb / 6.12 = USD

the best bet is go on Taobao and find the highest phone quantity sold, that's a good indicator of trust worthy store.
there's about 1500 RMB price different between the taobao price and the Samsung store price.
