Hello,
I was working on some software in Visual Studio for Windows Mobile 5. Because of this, I was looking for some icons for the PDA. But I didn't find anything for free. There are nice icon kits but they cost a lot.
Are there any sites that have free good looking icons for placing them in a PDA application ??
greetings,
Don't know of any free icon packs, but if you do a general windows icons search you might have better luck.
As you may or may not know desktop windows and windows mobile icons are of the exact same format.

Shutdown (Windows XP Style) enhances your PocketPC with an XP-style shutdown screen. It includes a shortcut in the start menu and can be used to perform a soft-reset without having to use the reset button.

PocketWin is a new kind of Pocket PC launcher that is intended to completely replace your Today screen. It features a sleek design and a Windows-like interface. PocketWin is made with Macromedia Flash and requires Flash Player 6 for Pocket PC installed. What makes PocketWin different from other program launchers is it's extreme flexibility. You might compare PocketWin to a set of Lego pieces that you yourself can add up to build that very thing you've always dreamed of. With it's extended plugin capability there are virtually no limits to what can be accomplished with PocketWin. The new update provides a number of new features and interface improvements that will put all other launchers to shame!

Hi there,
are there any apps for Windows Mobile where you get Sidebar apps like in Vista.
I saw something like that at a new Samsung Phone but i don't know which model it was.
By the way I don't mean tools like wisbar cause they need to mouch Ram in my opinion.
Thanks

Hello all,
I'm looking for any program/hack to skin core components of Windows Mobile like buttons, scrollers, combo boxes, radio buttons, sliders... Since the first version of Windows Mobile MS hasn't changed terrible Windows 3.x like skin Even on new WM6.5 (except the scrollers). Do somebody know any program to change this awful old style? On Palm there are some programs (e.g. http://www.3gxsoft.com/palmrevolt/ ) so I hope there is any program even for Windows Mobile ;-)
Do somebody know at least how to change/add skin of these core components???
I think you forgot to use search.
There's an entire section on themeing, for example for the Diamond.
You can change some of the components via tsk files, but most of them require editing resource files like shellres, tshres and so on.
wisbar. (not WAD), just wisbar is only method for skinning what cannot be done in 6.5 feeble m$ methods.
Hi,
is there a way on Windows Mobile 6.5, 6.5.x and WMD, to map the windows logo button (not the hardware key of a device) to another program than honeycomb start nenu??? I have a little program that is named "Folderview" (it seems to be from HTC) that will show up the start menu with big icons like there it is in Windows Mobile 6.x Smartphone Edition.
The background for my question is that i own a PDA E-Ten Glofiish M800 that has only 64 megs of RAM (total free ram after strat is only around 20 megs with honeycomb) and that's too small for using GPS functions with navigation software like igo 8. I tried the tool "Quickmenu" but i don't like it because i do not want to have a start menu like in verisons of Windows Mobile prior 6.5.
Thanks
