connecting to internet of my computer

hii.... can any one plz help me .. i want to connect to internet in my diamond using network sharing of my computers internet.... i have a wifi modem... plz help....

not trying to be harsh.. but you obviously lack some basic knowledge about wifi networking. first read this, and try to reflect bit on youre diamond
above that you question can never be answered with so little information about the problem... its like "help my car doesnt start, what is wrong with it?"

i ve bought diamond 2 days back..... i want to connect to the internet on my phone using my laptops broadband connection....how to do that... ive tried sync but still no websites open...can u help or moro info

still this isnt the place to ask this question.. but ahh well her it goes.. hopefully some mod will replace this into the right subforum...
you have 2 possibilities...
connect to the internet trought activesync. or make use of the wifi router you already have..
i would go for the last option,
just turn on youre wlan on youre diamond, seek youre router and fill out the neccesary info, like the passkey...
if that does not work, sort out the settings in youre router... you must be sure youre router accepts new connections...
last time i checked, via activesync i always have inet... but i never use it trought that way..

Share home internet connexion in Wifi

Hi everyone,
Today, I try to share my ADSL internet connexion in Wifi via my HD2 but in vain.
What I'd like to do is to share the internet connexion from my PC to my HD2 with USB cable and then to share this connexion by Wifi to others PC or PPC. i-e, to use my HD2 as a really router-wifi will do.
Do you guys have already done this?

You can't do it mate. The wifi router on the HD2 will ONLY route its own data connection. You need a wifi router for you want. Sorry.

but anyone knows a software which can handle it? or at least, is it possible to share the connexion from the computer to the HD2? Or do I have to forget about it right now?

Sorry mate, but yeah. Forget about it. I'd say that I'd eat my phone if anyone ever finds a way of doing that, but I just can't bring myself to even imagine eating my lovely HD2

and it does exactly what I want.

That changes when you've made a few more posts. Not sure exactly how many, but it's not a lot. (I've got 7 in my head for some reason, but it may be 10).

Yes, but i don't understand quite well. Corect me if i am wrong, WMWifiRouter is software for Cell phone, I need software for PC or an explanation how to. My PC is an acces point. Under Win 7 i created a wireless network connection (I have Asus P5K-E WI FI AP MB) and connected my HD2 but when i start opera i get error massage about connection.

Well, I did it. Now I can connect to PC by my Leo and browse internet through my PC WiFi connection and ADSL modem
No extra charge!
It is quite simple under win 7.
One should first make bridge connecton between Local area connection and Wireless network connection. IP adresses should be configured manualy.
In phone first activate Wi-Fi, go to advanced>>change network>>computer-to-computer>>network adapters>>Broadcom802.11 DHD Network adapter and set IP according to PC. Then go to connections and set IP also.

You can even do simpler, you just need to right-click on your LAN connection, select properties, advanced, click share connection, connect your wifi connection in the dropdown below if it appears. IP can be dynamic in this case, the PC willmake a DHCP server.
It's not what the original poster wanted to do though. He wanted to use the HD2 basically as an "outgoing" USB wifi adapter for a PC that doesn't have one.

Nope. I don't see that dropdown menu. But, never mind. I have one question for you, I can't browse directory structure of my PC from phone or to connect to PC as a client. Is there any program for that, or an explanation. Tnx.

You can share internet from your Touch2 to any number of devices... but this is only over USB or Bluetooth, you cant share internet over wifi - or atleast thats what my phone is telling me.

Had a quick look in the forum and could not find the answer for my question but if it has been delt with before I appologise now. Got a second hand XDA O2 mini s unlocked, everything seem to work ok, but when I come to get onto the internet at home using wifi to my router just keeps telling cannot locate that page try again later. I have set up the wifi to the router and it tells me it is connected, am I missing something? any help would be appriciated, thanking you for your time in this.

I'm having the same issue. any answers to this would be great. i'm brand new to the smartphones but was a geek from way back... its awesome how far tech has come and all but it's been ten years since i played with linux or any kind of actual programming or networking. while i am eager and excited to learn this inside and out... a cheat sheet of sorts to get me started would be great.

Have you tried to use another Navigator as OPERA? or tried to confirm if you have Internet Connection trough wifi? you can try this with the Windows live Messenger for WM or with the Windows Marketplace.
Another tip: try putting off the Security of your router. i remember than in WM5 (few years ago) my wiza Won't connect to the router because the Security was WPA. to get it work i just put WEP security Password.

[SOLVED] Connecting to the internet ,do i pay

I check the forum but could not find an answer to my problem ,i am on virgin mobile and they charge me 30p a day if i go online ,but i also connect through a wireless router ,does my phone know how i am connecting ,will i get charged if i am using my own connection,i know that sounds daft as its only 30p but in this day and age every little really does count.

If you are connected to your router you will be using it. Check icons on top bar to see whether you are connected to wifi or 3G etc
Also, try using software like NoData so you can disable device from connecting to 3G by using a toggle on/off button. Plenty of other similar apps about if you search ........some roms even come with these installed like NRG's
