Heys, when i bought my trinity, it came with this nifty sms input where a virtual keypad appears (like when u dial a number to call) and u can type messages like u would a normal phone. i found this method of input exceptional, sincei can type with one hand, and its so much faster and easier cuz i'm used to it. But after flashing the cooked wm6 rom, the input method disappeared!! and after flashing back to the ori wm5 i didnt get it back! I need it!!!
ANy way i can get it? Dont mind paying for a commercial one, though i believe this input is by Dopod so it shud be free? please....help. If u know the download link from dopod's site please share it with me cuz i cant access the dopod website, dun ask why.
in advance, thanks!

Search for Phonepad International (or look in the Trinity WM6 Forum- I think it is in a topic called WM6 Cab Files)
Snap! Yours is a better link!

I seen a picture of an XDA2 with a green text messaging pad, which lets you text like a normal phone
is this available anywhere? or something similar? the problem is, I have problems texting on the go, would be useful to text like on a normal phone as Its a bit hard to use the stylus while on the go (walking on in a car)
Intellipad
Yes, there's a program called Intellipad. It works like a dream when you're used to the traditional text input. It even has t9 dictionary to make text entry even faster.
Here it is. To install just move it to your device and run it. Intellipad will come out as an option of text entry along with keyboard, Transcriber, etc.
Enjoy, bud.
you legend!
FYI: It even works under Windows Mobile 5.0 if you ever decide to upgrade your Himalayas!
I'm already upgraded

You just need to copy the .CAB file from your PC to the Pocket PC, then through file explorer on the PPC, find the .CAB and click once over it. It will automatically install on your device.

Unfortunatley for you, IntelliPad only supports the following languages:
English
Spanish
German
French
Protuguese
Italian
I don't know of any other multilanguage T9 application...
Sorry,
Rayan
Hi I'm using the Edsub Intellipad but there's a problem: when I try to type a letter to find the contact I'd like to send the sms to (typing the letter in the TO field), the intellipad let me insert that letter but no contact shows up to be picked! why?
Is there a solution? Or do I have to pick the contact from the contacts list by tapping the "contacts icon"?
Thank you all!!!
Hi there to every gadget fan around!.
I'm a proud owner of a HERM200, Vodafone V1605 really.
The problem is that I flashed an english WM6 ROM and I forgot my keyboard has the "ñ", so I flashed the Schap's Spanish WM6 ROM (which, by the way, works like silk) but the keyboard keeps reacting as if it was an ENGLiSH keyboard. I read all the wiki and I tried the solutions explained there
- [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Keybd]
"Locale"="040a" (for Spanish)
This didn't work at all
- [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Oem\Qwerty] this reg key does not exist in my PDA so I cannot change it.
WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT THIS?
Also, in HTC Home I cannot retrieve the weather status. I'm actually using a PUSH connection which let's me navigate with IExplorer and receive e-mail too, Why is it impossible to retrieve the weather too???
Thanks to all of you which already helped me out without even knowing it.
And thanks in advance to anyone who can light up my way on this issues!.
I can't believe no one can help me out!!
But thanks for trying!
So, this help may be minimal, but I don't know the direct answer to your question, but I am sure it has been addressed in the forums. I just wanted to suggest you use the Google forum search tool (linked in my Signature). It tends to be very effective at finding applicable results.
Thanks!, I'll give it a try!
A friend told me there is a program to see big letters on the screen so that I don't need to use pen to write sms. Can someone help me? As you can see I'm not pc expert
search for phonepad
it does it t9Style
Install an other keyboard like Resco Pro
Yup,
HTC Phone Pad works well! I've had it on my SPV since first upgrading WM5 (now on WM6) and it works fine as a T9 keypad emulator.
Its on this site... Somewhere!
;-)
Was going to upload it, but for some reason i can't so here is a link to a thread that seems to have it

I have found if you install more than one of these on your device then you can't switch between them.
Try uninstalling all the SIP's that you have added, soft resetting in between each and one more S/R just to be sure.
Then install just one SIP and another S/R and it should work.
If you still have trouble chuck something like SIPChange and set your preferred SIP before S/R.
I have been through many SIPs and have had the issue of most of them not being chooseable, well choose but have nothing happen. The only one i have found that is selectable is the TouchPal by Cootek.

lucky you...just tried that one, and im having the same problem as everyone else..ie...i can select it, but nothing happens.
i had the same problem with my phone
The only way i could fix it was to change my rom. now i can install as many different ones as i like.
have been trying the tengo keyboard as it splits the keyboard into 6 buttons so i can have the smallest keyboard (smaller than the normal wm one) and still use it with me fingers/nails

Hi :
Newbie (Relatively)
Considering an HTC Touch that comes free with a T-Mobile (UK) Contract.
Problem is I really like taking notes with the Transcriber/Handwriting Recognition input function but can't seem to find it on any UK demo phone (including unlocked friom Carphone Warehouse).
This must exist in the Winmobile 6.5 Rom somewhere.
Can it be enabled ? Anybody any wiser ?
Can anyone please help asap ?
Thanks in advance

strange.
any ideas.. pls help..
u can enable transcriber by goin into d windows file..and scroll upon the "t" letter files, find trancriber..and There you are..transcriber gets activated..in HTC touch2
Another way how you can enable transcriber for example are the sktools. With this porgram is it very easy. Normally you can do this with the demo version if you do not want to buy it.
transcriber works!

Hi - thanks, this works for me, and I am amazed by the quality of handwriting recognition in WORD. On the other hand it is useless for names and numbers in Outlook!
I have searched a long time to get informations about the built in processor of the new Samsung Omnia 735. Now I have owned one for testing.
The buit in processor is the Qualcom Typ: 7227 with a recommanded maximum clock Frequency of 600MHZ.
Fine phone, but not as good as the HP Glisten (if someone can provide me an unlockcode)

Hi Steve,
did you by any chance buy a protective casing for your Omnia 735?
If yes (even if no, actually) - can you recommend one?
I don't care if it's leather of plastic, as long as it does its job well.
Since I'm a student and driving around a lot with my bicycle I'd like to try to be more careful with my next smartphone - my Palm Treo Pro didn't take the few times I threw it down too well (microphone and gsm reception are slightly broken now).
Thanks!

Sure thing.
I'm in dire need for a English ROM - do you happen to have access to one?
I'd be glad to pay for it, if that's an incentive for you.
And about the file keypad_ORSAY.dll - the one with file size 68312 bytes in \Windows?
I can find it using "Search" in PocketController Pro, but it's not displayed in the file explorer... any idea why and how to copy it? Do I need to install Resco Explorer to do that?
Thanks,

Anyone looking for a cover for their Samsung Omnia 735, the Bugatti slim leather case (size M) fits perfectly and looks very smart
It has a velco strap at the top to stop the Omnia falling out and you can pull the tab to lift the phone out of the pouch for easy access
Thanks a lot!
I'll look into it!
Hi,
got a Omina 735 since Feb 11.
It's working well, however i don't like WM 6.5.3. Imho 6.1 Prof. was way better, as flicking around with the finger is a bit awkward on the new 6.5.3 GUI.
However I didn't find any ROMs for this device yet. not even here in the forums is a single thread concerning the Omnia 735.
Do you know any?
It's a great thumbtype smartphone with long battery life and a wonderful casing.
regards
I second this, it's an excellent phone.
6.5.3 GUI is fine for me, for the today screen I'm working with WAD and PocketBreeze
The only thing I really dislike is that the internal GPS does not work without network connection. Stupid, isn't it? Is there a way to simulate a network connection so that the GPS will work?

Indeed. It's a really nice phone. Why so few users?
I'm not sure what you meant by "network connection" but on my B7350, internal GPS works without data connection or even SIM card. Does it vary according to country versions?
Hello,
I found some ROMs here: http://www.samfirmware.com/WEBPROTECT-b7350.htm .
Does anybody know how to enable hidden setting options that were present on WM6.1?
Thanks!
Great minds must think alike.. ;-)
I just found the same link yesterday, but due to time-constraints haven't tried it out yet.
If you test it, keep in mind: if you want your provider-settings to be "automatically" working, you should download a firmware with the same CSC.
(Find out typing in *#1234# on your samsung 735)
Cheers!
Regarding the "hidden settings" from wm6.5 vs 6.1 ... I didn't have any luck. All I was able to do was use a registry editor and do trial/error comparisons with my wm6.1 phone (Treo Pro) and changed the settings accordingly. (e.g. to disable the dictionary/autocomplete.)
@Belrei:
I'm using the GPS without GPRS/network connection just fine!
(E.g. I use Google Maps via WiFi without the GPRS-triangulation just fine. If by network connection you mean AGPS-supplied information.)
... if you want to exchange tricks and how to use this phone best, just drop me a p/m.
(I'm using "Bob" and not "ONE", but I guess that wouldn't make any difference in our scenario.)
PS: GPS TTF takes longer, of course, but beyond that it works. (TTF=time to [first] fix.)
