Hi I'm new and was put on to you guys by the microsoft blognewschannel. I recently bought a T-Mobile MDA 1 on Ebay and it's great apart from when setting up ActiveSynch I was told to download Windows Media version 10 to make it compatible however when plugged in to laptop with ActiveSynch running WM10 refuses to recognise device and so I cannot download on to my MDA - any suggestions please?

My MDA Pro crashes my PC (with Windows XP Pro SP2). As soon as my PC detects the MDA Pro - via USB using Activesync 4 or not, the PC immediately reboots.
Windows reports the problem as "A device driver installed on your computer caused the problem; however, we cannot determine the precise cause."
I had no problems connecting with my Orange SPV M2000.
The MDA Pro does work fine on my Win2k work PC, but that's far from ideal!
Are there any alternative Windows XP drivers to try?
Hi, I'm a newbie when it comes to PDA's, I'm trying to do the most simple task of connecting my EXEC to my pc via USB cable but cannot get it to connect to ActiveSync. Ive installed ActiveSync (and reinstalled) from the 02 getting started cd, and when I connect my EXEC it says the usual new hardware detected and comes up with "Multimedia Video Controller" but there are no drivers on cd's to install it. I have read all troubleshooting on the supplied help files and on the ms website but still no luck. Can anyone help me?? Cheers
Matt

You will find there are many posts in this forum relating to active sync issues. Especially if your PC is running any firewall related s/w.
Apparantly MicroSoft will be bringing out active sync 4,1 at the end of the month to sort this problem out - Mike

hello there
ok...lets start with the battery...
yes i had same problem with all wm6.1 roms battery dies quickly and to tell the truth i think i need a new battery now coz the phone goes off before it reaches 70%
so...
what i did is i tested the battery issue by reversing back to official wm5 rom...then things went out smoothly but i think the excessive recharge did ruin the battery...
now for you active sync issue...
computer hardware is not an issue...as i recall all you need is win xp sp2 and the latest active sync...but hey...here's a surprise...I HAD SOME PROBLEMS WITH ACTIVE SYNC AND WM6...!!!! dunno why....!!!
yeah, I tried different computer with different windows but no luck
now I can't upgrade to any other version
even i tried with older active sync like 4.1, that din't work
It shows unknown device found
but I got no driver CD or something else
can any one send me some driver?????
