o2 GPRS MMS settings for Hermes/M3100 - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Hi
Got my m3100 recently and unlocked it. Put in my o2 PAYG sim and everything seems to work except GPRS & MMS! Ive hunted high and low for the settings but cant find them anywhere, also tried a .cab file to set it up but it didnt work either! Phoned o2 and they didnt have the settings for it either, useless gits!
Would somebody please post instructions on how to set up a m3100 o2 gprs & mms settings, i would be very very very gratefull!
Thanks
Andy

cheers for that mate but ive just tried to download the MMS i got and still says it cant connect, getting a bit pissed off now!

I've tried that cab and it doesn't work, it doesn't even set up the GPRS connections properly, and does not seem to include MMS settings.
I have the attached cab which sets up GPRS correctly, but sets up a wrong server for MMS. I have a feeling it used to work on other roms but on this one (LVSW) it doesn't seem to.

cheers will try that. how do i change the mms server so that it works?

Lazy good for nothing cab users. I ask you, what's wrong with the good ol', enter the settings in the boxes approach - well...well.... speak up dar boy I can't hear ya.

That's deliberate, the number of ***s does not equal the number of letters to prevent folks guessing/narrowing down the password.

Translating vodaphone settings for XDA2 into XDA1

Long
I have recently moved from using my xda with O2 to vodafone. I have spoken to the vodafone helpdesk and have to explain what an xda is before I get anywhere. They don't support the xda. The best I have achieved is the information below but am now having difficulty applying what they say for the xda2 to my xda. This information is for an xda2 as I don't have the same menus or options
Can anyone read the stuff below and give me a step by step guide of what to put into my xda in order to access the internet and email? Hopefully some of the info below might be of interest to others.
Thanks

First.. you must register in Club i-mate
then.. go this link
https://www.clubimate.com/t-JAMSETTINGS.aspx
and choose your carrier.. and you'll be downloading a CAB file...
copy the file to your PPC, and then run it... you should perform a soft reset after that
.. and you are done

*HELP* o2 xda2 gprs settings!!! *HELP*

I recently brought myself an m1000, and had the phone unlocked so that I could use it with my o2 SIM card. The problem that I now have is that I have no modem installed, and I don't know what the settings are to create a new one... when trying to create one it asks me for a number..."enter the number exactly as it should be dialed..."
What is that number????
Many thanks
You asked for GPRS settings so there are no numbers to enter. Instead you need to enter an APN (Access Point Name) which looks like a domain name. Which one to enter depends on which service you want to use - and also needs to be authorised on your Sim:
WAP is: wap.o2.co.uk
Mobile Web is: mobile.o2.co.uk
you have to pick the option called gprs
then it dont ask you for nr but for access point
http://www.o2.co.uk/productsservices/ota2/select/0,,184,00.html?ref=quicklink_home
http://www.filesaveas.com/gprs.html
my bad!!!
I made a mistake in what I was saying earlier with what I needed help with... what I want to do with my phone is to "add a new modem connection" I have searched all over the o2 website, and they have all of the details of what I need to do, but, when I try to set one up, one of the set up pages is
'Enter the number exactly as it should be dialed. Include any extra numbers, such as an outside line or credit card.'
There is no mention of this on the o2 site, and to set up, I have to enter a number, only I do not have the faintest clue as to what the number is!!!
Problem Solved!!!
Having searched for a while longer, I gave upand gave o2 a call...and all my problems are now solved
If any one else has the same problem I had, here are the manual settings that o2 sent me...

Issue with GPRS on O2 (UK) with WM6

Hi all,
Fairly new to all this but I successfully managed to upgrade to WM6 but can't get GPRS working after the upgrade. I've tried various versions of the Radio but nothing seems to work.
I've tried searching O2 on these forums but can find nothing.
Anyone got any ideas?
Regards
Hades
Still no-one with an idea?
Anyone know if I can extract the radio files from WM5 and input them into WM6? If so how would I go about this?
Hope someone can help me.
Regards
Hades
I am running WM6 and GPRS works fine with O2 UK. Have you checked all the settings?
Do a search and you should find a cab file floating around with the o2 settings.
Yeah I've hunted high and low in these forums and found a few places ppl are asking the same question but no real answer.
Any idea what radio version your using?
If so where can I get the cab?
Thx
Jim
Cant remember where on the forum I found this but these ae the settings I always use for O2 UK, always works.
