Hello, (sorry for my english, im spanish)
I have a problem with my P3600, when i go to university and start the wifi, i can conect and browse without problems 3 or 4 mins, later i have a Windows Mobile Error "device.exe". And wifi stop working, but if i do a soft-reset we can use it for other 3 or 4 mins...
In power settings i put Best Performance, but nothing change....
And is the 2º P3600....

When I use my XDA to go to the internet it works for a 2 or 3 minutes and it cuts the comunication.
Is there something to mantein the connection?

When I'm browsing internet, is cuts the acees via GPRS...
After several minutes of successful browsing, things stop working. All of the sudden, if I attempt to access a page, I get a, "The page you are trying to open cannot be found" error. After this occurs, I must disconnect and re-connect to GPRS to be able to browse again.
I can cause this to happen at will: just browse for a few minutes, then I get the error.
Ummm it happened to me once but it wasnt the XDA's problem it was the operator - When i called the customer support of my operator they said that there is load up on the GPRS in my area but after that call in several days the problem didnt occure anymore and i can browse normaly now.
I think you should call your Mobile Operator talk to the customer support they can help you.
As for your XDA i think there are some Newer Rom Version that you cn upgrade too, check the ROM section
Didn't you connect through Inbox or another application? Inbox disconnects data call about 5 minutes after it has finished downloading e-mails. Some programs (IE, Ezos WAP etc.) do the same..

I cured the problem.
Under the modem settings for the connnection, tap and hold the modem setting. A context menu will pop up. Make sure "Always Dial" is NOT selected.

For me the GPRS issue is fully resolved. It's stabile and faster then ever.
I put in a new simcard: (this resolved the issue of not beiing able to turn off/on the phone when not fully charged)
I installed the latest ROM upgrades 3.14.13 en 4.16 UK
On a site with autorefresh every 5 minutes, i had it succesfully on for 2 or 3 hours.

I mean when I didnt use the internet or refresh when
on gprs, the xda will automatically disconect the gprs
on or about 10 mins after you last used it. Maybe
might have to sort of change the xda setting on gprs.
My GPRS is always enabled on safe mode. But still

Hi everyone just recently bougt an Xda Mini (HTC MAgican) on ebay
it has a weird connection problem. When I start it it asks me for the pin and than connects (has 3 bars) and than after 1 sec the connection is gone. And it cant find any connections in the menu. If I turn on flight mode and than turn it off agian the same thing happends again.
any ideas?

My Touch has an active and connected WiFi-Connection - my Router shows, that my Touch is in my WiFi-Network. But IE-Mobile, Opera, YouTube... says, that they couldn't connect (but I can open my Router-Config in Opera)... Any idea?

2 Open Connections
3 Select Advanced Tab
4 Tap on Select Networks
5 Click on New
6 In ISP name , enter wlan( this could be any name u wish to give)
7 Click on Proxy settings below
8 Mark This network connects to the internet** Don't mark this network uses a proxy server
9 Click OK
Get back to 4th step
10 Now in network management, select wlan(or the name u gave ur network)
11 U should do this in both the fields
12 Click OK
Activate wifi and now check if u can use ur internet
Sorry, I'm writing here, but I've nearly the same problem ...
I've an XDA Nova from O2 ... with EPS-ROM (Manila2D-Rom)
Round about two weeks ago, I connected to my WLAN and the Nova says, hes connected and my router also tells me, that my nova is connected.
All right, but theres no web-software which can connect to the internet.
I've testet:
Opera, IE, Fring, Mail, FTP (TCMD) and Manila-Weather ... everytime the same error "can't connect to server"
Via GPRS and ActiveSync it works perfectly.
Now this is my last chance to ask you here, before sending it back to O2.
Together with eps I've tested a lot of EPS-Roms ... but with the rom it stops working, it works before ... I'm nearly sure that the rom isn't the problem.

Would you kindly share your experiences when using Ipaq 610, 612 and 614 with wifi on? Preferably when streaming with high bitrate (over 64 kbps) continually.
When i use it this way for example when listening to online radio, the PPC stops charging and the device gets hot!
I am currently using the battery replacement provided by HP but it's not showing any improvements. Infact its worse because it's stops charging even sooner than usual.
Am i the only one with this problem? The device recharges again only after i restart it.

u use wifi 4 long time so i recomend using nodata cab 2 keep it disconnected

BTW there are lots of freeware internet radios you can install on you ppc to entertain you like Mundu Radio, Pocket Scrobbler, lastfm Pocketpc Player, just to name a few.

I have looked into the file you mentioned "modaco nodata.cab". I don't think you understand my problem.
The problem is my pocket pc ceases to charge itself using the charger when i'm intentionally connect to WIFI longer than 30 minutes using high bitrate connection. Why high bit rate? Because it generates lots of heat. I would like to know whether others are experiencing the same problem

i do so try what i tell u then let me know if it helpd
enter phone option then go to network and select manual "your gsm" (not 3G!!)
save
turn on WIFI and then disconnect gprs connection ( disconnect data connection )
now work with your wifi and if device whats 2 contact 2 gprs cancel connection
see if device gets hot after 30 min
please try dont ask ..

Please this is urgent,
after reverting the settings back i.e. re enabling modaco's NoData and phone Network setting to Automatic, I cannot connect to gprs/3g connection anymore. It gave an error message something like "No DNS server is specfied".
Why is this?
if u have issus with your data connection u can always go
start/settings/connection/hp ipaq data connect and refrsh your settings
i can only say that i have worked with nodata 4 long time on lots of devces with no issuse

BTW Pockettoolman ( http://pockettoolman.blogspot.com/ ) can also enable/disable data plus many more functions but this ability is relatively hidden within the app.

I would like to ask you to help me with GPRS problem on my SGS. After soft reset GPRS works fine, I can use APNdroid (or any other GPRS ON/OFF app hundred times), but if I switch on WIFI (using it for some time) and then switch WIFI off and then if I switch GPRS on, icon will show but It doesn´t show any progres, It doesn´t downloading or uploading and if I want to use GPRS again I have to restart my SGS and it isn´t very comfortable and fast, so if anybody knows what it could be, please help
I tried wipe, and it didn´t help, also airplane mode ON/OFF doesn´t work. And last thing from me, I searched on other forums and it seems I´m not alone, but all topics about this problem stayed unaswered. So please help me

I would like to try different firmware, but I don´t want to loose guarantee and I can´t connect to kies on my Windows 7 64bit to load a new official firmware, so I´m thinking that I will send mobile in a service center and ask them to load a new one.
Do you think there is any other option?
