Hi, is it possible to browse the start menu on my ameo via my pc ?
i want ti arrange my programs into other folders and thought it would be
quicker via the pc than cut n paste on the ameo

The name is 'Widcomm Bluetooth Stack' http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=63364#63364 you can browse your PC folder via PPC (File Transfer) using bluetooth.

Is there a way for me to browse the files on which ever computer I am connected to via USB? I would like to be able to plug in my usb cable to a computer and then be able to browse its contents from my PDA. Any ideas?

Can anyone tell me where my ActiveSync has gone since upgrading my ROM to Big Storage?
I want to be able to sync over bluetooth with ActiveSync but I cant find the shortcut to it on my magician!
I have an empty Activesync folder in my windows directory.
The strange part is that all my contacts and mail and stuff have all synched with my magician when I connected via USB to my PC, activesync synched it all?

I noticed the same thing too when I was trying to setup bluetooth sync
in windows folder there is a shortcut called async.lnk and a file called async.asy. The shorcut points to async.asy and if you click it, it will launch activesync.
I put async.link in the windows / start menu / programs folder and unchecked 'Hidden' in the link properties, and it appears in my programs menu now.

i have a problem: I'm not able to copy files from my X1 to WinXP.
I have the cellphone USB connected and activeSync is on, which allows me to browse through my x1 folders. But everytime i try to copy/paste files (to backup) to my computer, a message says copy&convert files but then i get nothing but an empty folder on my pc.
Anyone who knows how to fix the issue??

Have you tried disabling file conversion?
Go to Activesync on PC then click Tools -> Advanced Tools -> Edit File Conversion Settings and uncleck the tick box.
If you are trying to copy files from the memory card then the best way is to put the device in Disk Drive mode. Connect device then click Start->Settings->Connection tab->USBtoPC->Disk Drive
I encountered this the other day, I think you can only copy files from the SD card to PC on the phone using active sync.
If however, if you want to copy files from your phone's internal memory, to your PC, i used a differnt program to do this, think it was either called 'My Mobiler' or 'Jeyo Mobile something' so try those programs!
I find ActiveSync to be an extremely poor program, I recommend using 3rd party apps to get full control over your phone!

The fastest way to do this is to copy everything you need directly from your memory card through card reader.
If you have bluetooth on your PC and have just few photos, you can send them through bluetooth (in any file explorer you use on your HD you should have option like "Send to bluetooth recipient") but this method is very slow...
And of course it is possible to do file transfer through USB cable (via ActiveSync or some other program, but I can't give exact advice, because I use just first two methods )
Third method (via USB) is to enable Data transfer instead Active Sync... Your uSD card will be visible as external disc, and on it you'll see famous DCIM folder which contains pictures...
