Currently I am using ROM version 1.23.751.8 from Dopod Taiwan (CHT9100). This is the update after the one that enabled GPS. However, ever since I upgraded to this ROM version Blackberry Connect stopped working. I have tried .16, .52, and .54 version of Blackberry Connect software but none worked.
I read somewhere that it needs to match specific AKU version. I am guessing the ROM I use is a AKU version (OS 5.1.465, Build 15673.3.3.1) newer than .54 version of Blackberry Connect can work with.
I was able to find mention of Blackberry Connect officially endorse on Dopod's Asia site. However, since I don't have a device from Dopod Asia, I am unable to download Blackberry Connect software for D810.
Can someone upload it?
Hi,
I need the same.
Someone could provide it?
Thanks in advance.

I read that thread by cornholio - that's how I figure I needed a "matching" Blackberry Connect version.
I am not daring enough to perform the hack mentioned in that particular thread in fear of messing up and brick my Trinity.
I was hoping to try the one Dopod put on their web site. My thought is that if Dopod puts on the web site, it must work find with the latest ROM version without the need to perform that hack mentioned above.
I hope RIM release a new version of the software. Otherwise I'll have to bite the bullet and cancel my Blackberry subscription. I am currently running Direct Push and it works as good as RIM's push mails. Besides, if I can't wait anylong, I can cancel Blackberry service and save me $5 per month on Cingular.

Does anyone have the **&official** (last) version of the 2003 AT&T (US) upgrade that used to be at the Siemens site before they yanked it down this month? I thought I had already grabbed it, but I can find it now.
I've got a Kitchen version on my SX56 right now, but after having some other issues with GRPS, I've been through a few AT&T escalations. Even though it should be irrelevant, at this point, I figure I should get the "official" ROM on this before they figure out its a "hacked" version and cut me off.
I can provide an FTP upload location if needed. Otherwise you can PM me, or email [email protected]
Thanks so much
D.
Hey All,
Ive not used my i-mate JAM in a while, and now ive come back to it id like to make sure ive got the latest rom etc. Could anyone tell me what version it is, and where to obtain it (I think theres a version for download on the clubimate site, but theres usually a later version floating around here).
Thanks!
Check out the other threads. There is a 1.13 ROM WWE from T-mobile NL. I just upgraded mine the other day but don't see any major differences with 1.12. So far my unit hasn't crashed yet.
AFAIK there still isn't a stable ROM for the Magician.
They all have problems reconnecting to GPRS after a phone call or Active Sync connection. The only way to fix it is to manually remove the CallerID application AND install an older version of the same program.
Hi,
Can anyone advise on how to get Blackberry Connect onto my IMate Jam?
It is still running the ROM Pak that came with it and is on Vodafone?
Thanks,
Dave
Windows Mobile 2003 Push mail
Unfortunately i'm not really into blackberry, but i know that windows mobile 2003 devices (such as your JAM) are not compatible with pushmail technology. Microsoft released the MSFP for Windows Mobile 5 devices...
I believe the latest t-mobile uk rom has blackberry connect as part of it. did you check with vodafone to see if they have a bb rom for the vpa-compact?
I realy interested in this topic...
Does anyone knows is there's posiblity to use my magician to connect with blackberry...?
i really2 happy if my magician can being use for my blackberry SIM card, rather than with the other Blackberry handheld that i had...
Does anyone can give me a clue..?
YES Im Using T-Mobile's Latest MDA Compact ROM (Version 1.13) can be downloaded at their website, or go here if you lazy to search 8)
http://t-mobile.iris-global.com/download_manager_mda_com.html
Inside the ROM has already provided Blackberry support. I havent tried them, though. 8)
Anybody success with it, pls share your experience.
i can't install this ROM to my XDA mini.
the installation process said that country ID error.
anyone can help me to prevent this country ID error ? maybe i should unlock it first but i dont know how...
or maybe anyone have the nk.nbf, ms.nbf and radio.nbf files in another words "the extracted ROM"
it seems tmobile have not shipped the mda pro with pocket msn, so no msn messenger which is available to download on other networks! oh wel.. but i cant also seem to get into my hotmail! any idea why this is? is there a bypass that i can use to access my hotmail via my mda pro??
i'm trying to figure it out also ..
There is a way (seen on this forum) to let the site think that your a normal browser and not a pda
that way hotmail wil not redirect you to the mobile.hotmail.com
and you can use it as normal ..
Be aware that if you change this that al browsers will threat you like you were a normal pc
i cant remember where i saw it but i saw these i think for a previous mda/spv
You just need to upgrade your ROM to the latest version. It's included in the newer ROM-Versions .

I had the newer version, which had it included, but there was a bug which got on my nerves.
I found it better to upgrade to the latest iMate ROM, using Depods 1.11.00 Radio ROM... It flies now... and still has all T-Mobile settings I need!
Just FYI: today T-Mobile released the very latest ROM which is based on the 1.30 Qtek.
It seems not official yet, but see here (T-Mobile Germany): https://after-sales-service.t-mobile.de/eg_online/t-mobile/t_mda_pro.htm

If I flash my device with this, will I be able to set the language to English, or is this German only?
Also, will the keyboard Y and Z keys swap round? (I'm right in thinking the Germans have QWERTZUIP instead aren't I?)
HTC & Softbank here in Japan have just released an updated ROM for the X01HT. They claim that current un-updated X01HTs will not be able to use the internet connection without updating after April 1st. This is due to them updating their networks.
The new rom is called RUU_X01HT_1.33.761.4_1.14.00.10.exe and can be downloaded from HTC Japan's website. Its 55MB and they say it will take 30 min to update.
This probably means that all you guys who have updated their ROMs here in Japan will have to change their network connection settings.
I hope they included some fixes, namely bluetooth A2DP, into this ROM, but I guess I will have to see what changes after I get around to updating.
Thankfully noted and downloaded...but how will this affect me changing my X01ht to english? It will be japanese again, right?
Yea, it defenetly will send you back to the Japanese version. My guess, from reading their PDFs and info on their site, is that it is a radio and password update. There is no other mention of any other update.
We have 5 months until the contents of that ROM become required. Hopefully within that time, the Awsome people that frequent this forum will be able decipher the contents and kindly tell us what needs to be changed for the people who have converted to English.
Hi, I am planning to buy a X01HT from HK and use it in US. And I am using Tmobile carrier. Just want to verify:
1. Can I upgrade X01HT to some other rom ie. dopod, imate or HTC.. and still function the same since the hardware specification is the same.
2. Does that mean these April 1st rom upgrade is only affecting users that using their phone in Japan only or it will affect us in United States as well?
Thanks
Cyen

i don't know how it's sold in hk but if it is the same as the original, you need to downgrade the bootloader to 1.04 before flashing any other roms. read this thread that talks about "HOWTO: change a Softbank X01HT from Japanese to English".

the short answer is yes. this only affects people subscribing to the flat-rate data plan of softbank in japan. this rom is only in japanese and you won't need it in the us anyways.
Do we have to install the entire upgrade or is it possible to extract the update for the radio stack. 55MB is rather large...

why do you want just the radio stack? seems the radio version is 1.14.00.10 and is the same as the old one. the rom is changed from 1.33.761.3 to 1.33.761.4.
I was under the impression it was updating the radio as well...
anyway, since my WMDC is not working right now, i cannot install the rom.
i also using it in tokyo ..
but will it make the sim-lock again .. ??
did anybody have updated .. ??
