First of all Turn On the WIFI
1.) (Go To PROGRAMS.>COMM MANAGER> Click ON the wifi Icon)
2.) Go to Settings>Connections>Wireless Lan
In the ADAVANCED TAB : Your MAC Address is Written.
This is regardless of whether you are connected to a Wifi Network Or Not.
Normally U dont need to configure anything Manually to Enter the Wify (except the Key / Password)
Thank you... I couldn't find it! The O2Atom now connects immediately. I am very appreciative! Thanks for your time!

where do you want to connect?
If to access point, you must know login, password or provider must accept your MAC adress as approved for connection.

I cant connect to wifi

Guys I have a Cingular 8125 unlocked. It currently has the Cingular firmware on it. When I first bought it, it would connect fine to the internet. Now if I turn on wifi it will still find the signal and ask me if I want to connect and I click ok to connect to internet. But when I go to IE and type somethin in it says "connot connect with current connection settings. to change you connection settings, tap settings" I have tried many things. Im just not sure what to do. If you guys could help I sure would appreciate it.
thanks

G1 & wifi internet

I have a D-Link G604T wifi modem. it was fine for my G1 connect to its wifi and connnect to the internet. But then I moved out. That modem can't be used with the new network provider so I had to use the normal modem which the telco gave me.
I wanna have wifi so I connect that normal modem to my D-Link one and use my D-Link to brocast wifi. The the problem happened. 2 of my laptops and a netbook are all able to connect to the wifi and the internet but my G1 and my Touch Pro can connect to the wifi but not the internet. The wifi signal is full.
Any ideas?
Thanks heaps...

What is the security of the AP? WPA2/1 Enterprise? Because that would be your problem...
Sorry, I edit a bit.
2 of my laptops and a netbook are all able to connect to the wifi and the internet but my G1 and my Touch Pro can connect to the wifi but not the internet. The wifi signal is full.
I used WEP for the sercurity. I tried without sercurity and it still doesnt work.

Huh.
What IP address is your G1 resolving and does it correlate to your routers settings?
Can you try to reset your router to factory default settings?

How to check what IP my G1 is resolving?
And I did do a factory reset to my modem but it didnt help
Perhaps, you should "forget" the connection, then establish a new connection.
oh, that was the first thing I did. Thanks anyway!
hello, any other ideas? I called for help... help... help
You might want to look in the modem's wifi settings for a "Short/Long Preamble" setting and set it to "Long" if it isn't already.
I had the same problem with d-link DI-714P+.Changing transmission rate to 1-2-5.5-11(Mbps) helped me.
