I have the cingular 8525 with the 1.34 rom. I have noticed that while playing audio (music/movies) through the speakerphone or when the headphones is hooked up, the lowest setting on the wm5 is still very very loud. Is there any way (or program) which will allow for more minute or small increment volume adjustment so that the lowest bar volume adjust on WM5 will play much softer? Anyone have that problem also?

(I've a Qtek 2020)
Comparing WM2005 to WM2003 I've notice that the speaker is too loud. (I've already set the volume to the lowest level and the speakerphone option is off).
Any suggestions?
Is it possible to change the phone speaker volume scale (I would like to set a lower volume level)
Thanks!

Any news?
Hi
I have an odd problem with my XDA2s.
If I play a media file the speaker and wired headset volume is fine.
If i make or receive a call the volume is very low (even when set at maximum on both the XDA and the wired headset).
Has anyone seen this problem before or is aware of a fix?
Cheers,
The in call volume level isn't controlled by the sliders at the top of the screen but by the volume hardware slider on the side of the phone during a call. Try just pushing it up during a call.
I think I just about destroyed my hearing this morning starting up some tunes on TCPMP. With volume level at 1, it was so loud that my ears are in pain right now. I can never seem to get the volume to work properly with the headphones that came with the device.. either the music is too loud, phone too soft, system noises too loud, etc.. Has anyone had this issue? Also, what's up with only 6 volume level settings? Is there some kind of a 3rd party volume control around that might fix some of my problems?
normalise them with any wav/mp3 editors 1st...
have you tried adjusting your headphone volume? Probably it's set to too loud thats why even at volume 1 it's blasting.
1)Use the volume slider on the headphone cable
2)Set TCPMP not to use the system volume. That way I always have the system sound at max setting, and then set between TCPMP's setting and the headphones' one.
TCPMP volume etc.
I have the system volume disabled and use the pre-amp's volume on TCPMP, which, incidentally, you can set at 0%, 25%, 75% and 100%. 25% is MORE than adequate when watching movies etc. I only use MORTPLAYER for music and I also don't use the system volume.
I leave system volume at 100%.
hi there!
i just got my hd last week and i played around with it only a little with help and advise from a friend whos active here on the board...
still i have some questions about some things i was unable to solve:
1.) the sound of my phone while playing music via earplugs is way too loud. while 20% were set as default when switching the phone on in the first place, setting the volume to 1 or 2% still is too loud for me. how can i adjust the sound volume to a more "normal" level? (meaning that i can set the volume to ~5% as "hard to hear anything" and 100% as "extreme loud"). don't get me wrong. i like loud music but this is definitly too much... using the slide2play-player is sth like a workaround for this since it comes with a seperate volume controller but this isn't a real solution...
2.) how do i set the sound volume via the side-buttons in SMALL steps? like 2% per click. clicking up or down once in/decreases the volume by ~20%. this is no way to use this. especially combined with problem #1...
3.) this is nothing software-related, but i'm searching for a (wired) headset for my touch hd with a control on it to adjust the volume, control the music player (play, pause, next and last track), take and end calls. like the hpm-82 for sony-ericsson handys. important: in-ear-plugs! searched around a bit, but found nothing...
noone here with an idea?
For me was also very loud, but now i'm using WMP with which also i can adjust loudness.....But with any player and you can adjust with it....
for #1: is there a "general" volume setting (somewhere hidden in windows) i can adjust?
there are some tweaks in advanced config which help you BOOST the volume but for decreasing it i dont know. anyway about #2 it's an issue that i would like to see solved as well... i somewhat managed to sortof workaround it by invoking the menu screen with the volume hardkeys and then tapping on the desired volume level directly with finger. of course it's all but handy, still it works.
Does anyone know how to increase the bluetooth volume and the in-call volume.
I use the same bluetooth headset that I used to have on my s7 and I find the bluetooth volume way too low even though the slider is at the max setting.
Also the in-call volume is low as well.
Is there any service mode where we can change the default volume value or any hidden setting.
I have the original firmware without root G950W

I have this same issue on my note 8 did you get it resolved?
Actually I am not sure if it is completely resolved.
Are you using a lot of bluetooth headsets?
Try to use another headset, put the volume half way, unpair the bluetooth that you are having the problem and then repair it.
I think sometimes I have a bit higher volume.
