I wanna use the ppc6600's picture mail application on mmy PPC6700.
Anyone care to help me tackle this?
I got the .cab and disassembled it - that's as far as I've made it thus far...hahaha.
When I orginally installed it, it "sorta" worked a little bit - but cant view online album and such - which is REALLY REALLY what I want to do.

your can view ur online album from ur phone without the software. just use ur phones browser point it to http://pictures.sprintpcs.com it detects ur phone and adapts the website to support ur browser.
picture mail app? is this sprint specific? or do u mean actual MMS like send pics to a friends phone?

Hey everybody here is the Fix I have been looking for if you install this cab file it will overwrite your current ARcSoft picture messaging and give you the ability to receive video messages from other cell phones, at least it did for me and I am using the new upgraded 6.1 rom from dcd 2.2.4, thanks to all the developers for cooking this up.
But sorry I seem to be having issues uploading the file here so I put it up on rapidshare HERE is the link but if you have trouble getting it just PM and I will email it to you.

Yes it will leave everything like it was before, it is the same software we have on the phone, just updated to include the codecs necessary to view video messages from other phones that we werent able to view before. I havent seen any side effects yet and have used this on 4 different 6800s but of course cant make any guarantees, however at worst you can always hard reset if you dont like it and you will be back to the factory arcsoft software that came with the phone.

Yes if a tech support rep told you that they were just trying to get rid of you has nothing to do with their system and everything to do with the phone itself but dont thank me, as mentioned above thank the developer found here. I am just trying to make sure everybody knows about it.
Just want to say that on Alltel's behalf, we have been waiting to hear back from HTC about the video codecs fix for a while, not too much we can do there except to explain what we have been informed of to customers until HTC releases an update. Same thing with our blackberry pearl MMS issues. Luckily for those of us informed, there are places like XDA that help people out.
Arcsoft Patch
I have a PPC 6800 and cannot receive video messages. I get told to go to axcessmypics. It is running Windows Mobile 5.0. Will the CAB file mentioned in this thread work with my phone. Is there a way to tell what version of Arcsoft is being used? Just as a side note, I recorded a video on the phone and sent it to myself, and was able to view it. Thanks.
Picture Messaging.
I had the same problem with the video messaging and it told me to go to acessmy pics. They actually sent me a picture that was supposed to upgrade my software on my phone, but now i dont have picture messaging at all. does anyone know how i can reinstall the messaging back to my device?
Hi guys i know that iphone has a application on their phone called Audio recognition.
The way this works is that if you hear a song you like, you select a particular software in the iphone and what it does is that it records the first 5 seconds of the song and it sends that sample to some database and then reports back to you with the name of the song and who sings it, now i know i have been in a situation where i have heard a song and liked it but cant remember or know the name of it.
Is their away to implement this into a HTC diamond, like has someone tried making this happen?

Hopefully someone will make one to work properly on the windows mobile operating system, anyone know where i can get this from as the one mentioned above works but isnt 100% visible on the screen
Also using MusicID, and when I demoed it a year ago to my friends they were astonished. I also find it better than iPhone app. MusicID needs VGA support, which it lacks as of now, so it fits better our Diamond phones.
surely it cant be that hard to create, like if people on here can create custom ROM's then surely someone can have a crack at this? we got any takers?

You won't be seeing it in the program list. You have to start it using Explorer.

this is awsome, works like a charm, thanks for that, but i have another idea if anyone can make it possible i would like to have another feature in this application. it would be great if the app can make a tag from the radio and record a sample without checking the ID, later time you can check ID when you are conected to wifi or activesync, this could save some money on data connection. but it is only my sugestion, thanks anyway.

I've got an icon right at the top of my list. It installed and placed it in the usual Programs menu and TF. Shouldn't be any need to make a shortcut?

hello friends,while browsing internet,i came through this software which i suppose is the 1st ever video ringtone application for pocket pc.The most important thing in it is that its totally free.
STEPS TO INSTALL VRINGO
1)JUST REGISTER ON http://www.vringo.com by providing your own mobile number with country code.
2)DOWNLOAD APPLICATION(well the cab is already attached below) from http://mobile.vringo.com.
3)INSTALL it to your desired location,either on storage card or on device memory,but storing on device memory allows faster operation
4)LOGIN once using your account details,then from the third menu(FIND VRINGOS) select any one of the online provided videos to set as your videotone.
5)BUDDIE-LIST-you can also set different video ringtones for different callers by creating a buddie-list and adding your personal contacts.
6)NOW if anyone wants to have their own made videos to be set as videotone,then convert the whole video(max 30 secs) to .3gp format,rename it to pre_vringo & copy it to My device/Application Data/Vringverwrite the previous file & restart the application.
7)REMEMBER-you need to have a working internet connection in order to login to this software,however after logging once,it dont requires it afterwards....try it & enjoy
I guess somebody try this out. Sometimes my phone lags enough as it is if I get a call while streaming music over BT. I probably dont have enough memory for this one a Titan.

no yaar iam using it on my wizard with my own videos,works flawlessly
Its battery life that concerns me most, and why do i need a video ringtone. While it may be ooo aaaahhh initially it will wear off.
No issues here. Works great!

Hmm.. ok just works, but... it is on small notification bubble that come when u have a call coming is there a way to do a full screen caller view? and..
Is it too hard to ask some skilled guy to do an application like this? i've asked in a far time ago a simple animated gif on a call coming, maybe now it's time to a video ring sorry for my bad english

This is what I use for 3gp (I just couldn't get a working 3gp from SuperC)
Just tried it on my i900 and it works for the existing videos but when I attempt to use of my own that I have edited to 30seconds or less (tried 30 and 18) it doesn't pick up the file at all?
I then went to upload file, wondering if I can upload it then download it (just out of curiosity) it was saying file size to large.
Not sure if or where I am going wrong, any advice?

Hmmm.... Looks like all your contacts have to be registered on Vringo too to get this feature.
If I'm wrong, let me know. I haven't found a way to just add buddies any other way.

xnPocket is good and free.

Resco Photo Manager is the best software for editing that I have found. Costs money though but is worth it in my view.
Pocket Artist is also very advisable.
Google's Picasa is also nice for editing and organizing.

However I want all my photoes to be shown on the image viewer, not just the latest 99! How can i change that?
