Qtek 2020 headphone connector broken :( - MDA II, XDA II, 2060 General

Hello all,
My Qtek 2020 (Himalaya PH10B) fell on the floor with the headphones on, and the mini-jack for connector for the headphones broke inside it.
I successfully opened it, and I was able to see the damages. I can see only 6 pins that connected the mini-jack plug to the main board, and it seems that there could be a seventh that got broken...
Would anyone of you know of a closeup picture of this headset plug/connector ? Do you know if it is possible to find a new one ? If not, mine looks reparable still, but I would feel reassured if I knew the exact connection here
Thank you in advance for your help.
Cheers
Thomas

Thank you for your answer Rudegar,
I re-soldered the connector, and I realized that a pin was indeed missing. I actually found it freely moving inside the PDA, but I could not solder it back to the connector. The results ? Well, it still does not work, unfortunately... With the headset on, it is mainly okay (there is still a little contact problem) but *withou* the headset, it still has no sound...
So :
1) Can I find this connector somewhere ?
2) Is there a way to tell the PDA not to check for the headset, and use the main speaker all the time ?
3) Would it change anything if I bought a blutooth headset ?
Thank you in advance !
Cheers
Thomas

1.) i doubt it would be a cheap option if htc had a special connector made just for their phones so i'd asume they use some sort of std component
and maybe there even is a partNr og serial on the connector
which could be used to find a replacement in R&S catalog
http://www.rs-components.com/index.html
2.) no pretty sure the switch between headset and internal speaker is don in hardware and software cant control it
3.) no with bluetooth headset you just dont use the audio connector which mean it would be empty and you'd have no sound on the pda
but it would prob solve poor contact issue of your current headset

Thank you Rudegar !
I am going to re-open it and check if I can find any serial # on the component. It looks like it is my best option. Obviously, if I find something, I will post it on that forum, so that other people can know...
Thanks again !
Cheers

hi, first thread: what kind of couple-capacitive needed?

hi,
this is my first thread here, sorry for my bad english - but i'll try my best.
i want to connect my xda2 with the 22 pin-connector for mp3 in my car.
in your conectors-page is a note:
Audio needs to be capacitively coupled in, any DC bias seems to inhibit audio
i want to ask, what c is needed here? (how many farrad, what kind of C)?
please can you give me some tipps?
is there anyone who has built such a connection? is this a good way to connect the xda2 through the car-radio, or is it better to connect via audio-jack?
my opinion: i found it very uncomfortable to connect first the audio-connector (specially in the dark), and i would be very happy if it works through the 22-pin connector.
please please...gimme a tipp.
or did anyone connect the xda2 and car-stereo without couple-c?
c'mon please, a little answer and i'll be happy.
anyone must have finished a 22pol-connector by himself, or am i wrong?
ty
frustrated...(bad first experience)...
you may be asking too much of a technical question for the cuurent people who watch this board.. i get the impression that the xda-developers site started out with a lot of smart people reverse engineering and dismantling the devices, but its now become more of a software tech support site than a hardcore HTC guru site..
Hi there sorry to hear you have had a bad experience.
as stated xda-dev no longer is as good as it used to be.
i had a quick look at the diagram and from what i can see you should not need capacitors at all.
from what i can see if you connect up pins 3 and 4 to the necessary inputs on your stereo the sound is fine.
a problem i can see however is that to get output on these pins you need to attach pin 19 to ground with a 10k resistor...but this will also redirect the microphone so you wont be able to use it as a phone whilst you have it plugged in unless you also build in a microphone (mind you this should be pretty easy if you wish to do it).
hope that helps

connection - non bluetooth question/search for leads

bear with me on this one while I try to explain...
I have an o2 XDA Exec that has tomtom 6 on it
I want to use the phone/sat nav, while on my bike
I have got a Starcom Advance - http://www.starcom1.com/ that is all working on the bike
Now, I do not want to use bluetooth if I can avoid it....
The starcom has a seperate connector for the phone and for satnav. (Both 3.5mm jacks)
I think that if I can find a 3.5 mm double male lead then I am hoping I can just plug it into the xda and the starcom - but what lead do I need? (Needs to allow the microphone to work btw)
I am hoping that some kind person knows what lead is needed so I can source one from maplins etc.... or that it just will not work!
I have the same problem! I use the Intraride system, but it's exactly the same set-up as the StarCom (used to have one) The solution I found was something like the Ericsson bluetooth handsfrees. They come with a detachable earpiece, so you can connect the units to the intercom using the phonelead that should have been supplied in the intercoms box.
First option is the HBH-20, there is one on ebay now for next to nothing.
HBH-20 Ebay Clicky
I then tried the HBH-200, which is similar, but includes a CallerID function. Nothing on ebay, but here is a link so you can see what I mean:
Clicky
Both devices are the size of a box of matches, so no troubles there! What I did find is that both units can be querky with the bluetooth connection, (down to the phone not the handsfree and this was on the OE o2 ROM, and one of the cooked WM6 versions) and also the volume was a bit quiet. Solution I've gone with now, is to swap my SIM into a normal phone (Nokia 6310i and universal adapter) and just plug that in. I also had good results with the Motorola V50 which has a 2.5mm connection that will just plug straight in.
Hope you find something that works for you! Although if anyone knows of an adapter to allow normal 2.5mm handsfrees to be connected to the 3.5mm socket on the universal...I'd love to know too! I have already looked at the adapters from Expansys, but these only allow PC type headsets to be connected (ie those with a separate 3.5mm headset and earphone lead)

GPS-Patchantenna for T-Mobile-Ameo (Athena, HTC Advantage)

Greetings @all,
first sorry for my terrible English.
The Ameo (Athena) is a great device and i really love it,
but there is something that let me go mad.
I´can´t find a GPS Patch Antenna for the device.
T-Mobile tell me that they can´t help me.
HTC doesn´t Answer until now.
Does any one know wich kind of Patch-Antenna I need for the Athena ?
I tried until know a Patch antenna for the Thypoon 3500, a MCX-Antenna and a MMCX-Antenna but they all doesnt fit. MCX was really close but still didn´t.
I need one because in my Car i have a Front Window with heating.
For any answer or hint i will be verry happy.
Jack
Are you SURE you need one? My ford has front screen heating, but the GPS works perfectly! The chipset seems to be pretty darn sensitive! I'm not sure the connector - in fact, which aerial socket is it on the back, the left or the right?
Look in the artemis forum
Look in the Artemis section. The premium package came with one, and I kept mine after selling the unit as non-premium. However, I have really not had to use it on any device yet.
There's a thread in there with part number etc.
Thanks, for the quick reply.
@Digital.Diablo:
sorry but i´m sure i need an external, i already tried it and i became no Satelites - I tried it with the programm Falk Navigator Pro SC and i´m driving
a Ford Focus Turnier with a new front screen heating. The Original one was heavy damaged by a stone.
@victoradjei
I will try the one for the Artemis with the Ameo(Advantage/Athena) and i will Report if it fits. I don´t find in the Artemis Forum the Name of the Connectorpin. Did you know its Name (for example: mcx )?
Greetings
Jack

It might not be that you need an antenna.Check all of your settings! I am not familiar with your mapping software, but there is a thread somewhere regarding problems with other map software and how they solved it.
I can use mine inside of a 10 story building with Tom Tom on it and it works excellent!
Hope this helps..................Later
mine doesn't work in nearest and costliests car or on foot in most heavily wooded either(more important for me).
so If the parch antenna works please let me know. I'm loathe to carry around my bt gps, it's something else I'd need to carry an extra charger for!
unfortunatly, Artemis hasn't MMCX. I have GPS Shop and i checked it out.
@hdbueller:
well, outside the car i have no Problem to get a Sat fix.
also oh the rear window anything is fine, Tested it earlier just for fun.
@fards: I already tested mmcx and mcx both didn´t fit
I tried this product´s:
http://www.dealcatshop.de/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=85
and
http://www.dealcatshop.de/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=158
@MrHagen: you wrote you have a GPS Shop. Could you check wich one fits to the HTC Athena/Advantage X7500/T-Mobile-Ameo ?
@all: by the way, a lot of thanks for all your replies
Right now i wait for the Artemis Patch Antenna, in hope it will fit.
I will report, promise
Greetings Jack

Spoke to gpsforless last week, they hadn't got a clue what it was likely to be, not had a chance to call in yet as been working odd hours.
Connector: MS-147-C(LP)-2 HTC list that as the same as the P3300/artemis, Jack was your original patch cable a branded HTC one? it's the same item if it is.

internal mic/speaker stopped working

Hi,
on my htc wizard the internal speaker (for phone) and microphone stopped working. if i connect the headset it works, i can use the phone with it and talk to people. if i disconnect the headset, i cannot hear anything and the communication partner does not hear me. might this be a software issue or is a hardware problem more likely?
i think it might be the jack for the headset, since the display still works and all connections are established using one cable between the parts of the phone. And it is rather unlikely that the speaker and the microphone break at the same time. am i correct in assuming the same logic/amplifier circuit is used for the headset jack and the internel microphone/speakers?
disregard that, after penetrating the headset jack with a needle it works again...
Wizard
Ok, now I have been reading and reading on how to flash the HTC Wizard aka 8125's and I got everything but what I really don't know is...does the sims card need to be in the phone and am I looking to write a unlock code down when and if I see one. I have tried to flash my phone three times and I still can not do it. Even though I am reading the ever detailed and fully understandable directions, I am missing something. Can someone tell what it is?
I just got the Cect P168+ iphone clone (I do not like it) and I really really want to stay with my smartphone and I really want the rom flashed and upgraded, please help me. Someone may even eme to my personal email ([email protected]) if this needs to be done away from this site.
Thanks so much.

!!!Help - Audio Daughter Board pins needed!!!
!!!Help Please!!!
Hi all.
i have a problem with my Prophet (a hardware issue to be more specific )
according to the "HTC Prophet Service Manual" Audio Daughter Board is an audio card mounted on motherboard with an 14-pins connector which is broken (the connector on motherboard is broken), it is for front speaker, lights of charger status, wireless .....etc, and has an antenna pin, but the phone work fine even without this card (i removed it 5 months
ago and it works fine except the front speaker, i use bluetooth headset instead)
but i like to correct this problem if i can find the right pins for the speaker and sold it directly on motherboard.....i don't know if will work....but i have no choice....i will try this
i have searched millions of time but with no results........
if anyone can help me on this, or any link to find a solution
i need to know the rights pins for the audio speaker.........
