Does somebody know address to flash the same via MTTY to Artemis as well?

Im also very intrested into changing my startup screen.
its a great Idea to put your address there because it doesn't go away after a hardreset and most people wont know how to get rid of it.

planning to put a nice bluefish over there, you figured it out yet?

Dutty's IS not OK FOR ARTEMIS You have to use an othe tool. i will upload it tonight i don't have it here at my work. DUTTY's is for the hermes not the artemis

Here is a link for the HTC ROM Tool form Dark Simpson to use with Artemis (don´t use Dutty´s tool for artemis)

I have change the OS from German to Italian, without canghe the files IPL and SPL

If you are successfull, it will work - i personally had some problems, but may be this was with a former version. Since that i build my roms with HTC Tool.

The next rom that I cook, will try to use HTC Tool.

Hi friend - we all are always learning.
For info - i use Dutty´s tool for extracting - for example if i need an special radio rom.

YES, I use for extracting the files * .nbh, and it is very simpler and comfortable than NBHextract.

didn't work
it didn't work followed the instructions to make the nb file then converted it to nbh with the htc tool.
after that I renamed the file to TOM_B.B_v3.7_WWE.nbh and used its flash program RUU
it goes to 100% in a split second, and then it says on the pc screen error 228? (not sure about the number) wrong file size, invalid or corrupt file.
the phone simply reboots and I the old bootscreen.
but at the bright side... my phone still works
anything im doing wrong?
did it work with the dutty tool?
btw the htc tool only allows you to select one bootscreen no sub bootscreen. did the people that got it to work with dutty select 2 bootscreens?

XIP port questions

I have a little question im trying to get the answer to.
Im pretty familiar with xipport tools and all that, I have ported xip for my old device many times (Herald)
But what I just cant get the hang of is how to use it in kitchens available for polaris.
Im currently working on a little project of making my own kitchen, but I need to learn more on how to build the ported xip into the rom in polaris.
There are many great tutorials on xip porting, but most of them lacks the info I need to make it work for our device (polaris), well maybe I didnt find the correct one...
I have used swtos's kitchen witch can port certain builds (thx for that info swtos) but I need to know why it can only port certain builds, and how to use it (or make my own) to port xip from any builds.
Help here would be greatly appreciated

Extract XIP.bin from any rom you like.
PUT MSXIPKERNEL files and modules into \sys folder.
Put WINCENLS folder into \sys
Put os.nb from source rom into your ROM directory ,
make a cook ,
You 're ready
or you can remake xip.out file and port it directly into os.nb.payload, but
port address may vary ...

yeah thats the problem im encountering too
but u need to put os.nb.payload

can u not use m'relloc to take care of adress?

You MUST use mreloc !! and greloc for other sys files ....

Ok but how to use it ? that's THE question !

Use an other rom that works fine with your ppc. Check every file with mreloc
and put addresses from this file to the new one. Repeat this procedure for
all files into msxipkernel.
For nk.exe use mreloc for nk . With this one , i don't know any guide.
Just try and repeat....

or do u mean i should port the new xip to a xip that comes from an unofficial rom, in.ex a xip u have in the kitchen?

Just take a look.
This is the original Diamond ROM on our TC.
I don't need to port any XIP just copy SYS\.ROM, SYS\.VM (not realy needed but you never know?!?!) map and SYS\Metadata from a working TC rom.

allright, I will try that too.
But I used from original rom, and I used m'relloc and changed adresses, then put the new files in mxip folders in sys. And I used os.nb.payload from another build.
and it worked

Today i want recook ROM from sun_dream and i got error in HKLM process like below :

Couldn't dump my chosen rom
I placed a rom in what I think is tools folder and pressed the button to dump it.
Came back with an error saying it cannot find "msvcr71.dll" and after that it terminates.
But the status says it dumped successfully yet I can't find anything in the dump folder. I actually can't open the dump folder as my computer can't find it. My computer says it is a missing or broken link.
This is my first time attempting so put me back on the right track.

.Net 3.5 doesnt have that library. Im also missing it -required for another kitchen.

Hello, I tried the kitchen and works very fine until you convert nba into nbf, the problem is that xor key is set for hima. To fix it, I simply change the key to the BA and works.
And I want to ask you for a non transparent version, I don't have a very good sight.

Until a proper tool for the D000FF files is released I can't produce proper dumps of the roms.

EDIT : i only dumped and rebuilded Leo signed 1.66 ITA, no Manila patch .

however what a dramatic increase in build process..
took 3 minutes to reach to the imgfs from dump part while it usually takes 10-20 mins on this busted up laptop..

Now it would be interesting know how come that Sternas did get the error.

for me the split of "initflashfiles.dat"
is NOT good idea....

I had my Kitchen in D:\XXXXX\OsKitchen
I changed in D:\OsKitchen and i was able to run the kitchen without errors.

If you also want a wm6.5 booting screen you can do the following
1. get the two files which are attached below
2. If you download SHAHEN's rom then its very good.......otherwise if you only want the wm6.5 booting screen then you may download only my files
3. copy the splash2.nb file to your windows directory in you ppc
4. now copy the splash_changer to you ppc and run it..
5. You are done now reset your device and see
extract the splash.rar file
it contains two files Splash2.nb (wm6.5 booting screen)
and splash.nb (wm6.1 booting screen)
splash2.nb can be directly copied to the windows folder
for Splash.nb first rename it to Splash2.nb before coping to windows folder

It would be great if somebody could upload some screenshots, cause my battery is dead and radio part is bricked. At the present moment I can't do it. Especially dialer screenshot, like this one, but with English captions.

Russian version already contained wm 6.5 splashscreen like on the banner. So I'm confused.

But i already installed it before thats why i see no change

Yep, no problems on flashing. RUS version works very well. I've started my work on WWE port 2 weeks ago, but..... I've got a little problem. Unfortunately, due to lack of free time, this project was temporary stopped. As soon as it is possible, I will continue to work on this port... I hope it will be ok.
