I flashed a WWE ROM in my portuguese TyTn, after the update i realized that clock is now in 12h format, so i go to Regional Settings an change to portuguese, but now a i have my long date saying "Segunda-feira, 5 de março de 2007" An i really don´t like the date written in portuguese, but if i change the regional settings to UK or US, i lose my 24h clock... Is there any way to have the clock in 24h format but the long date in english...

If you choose UK then the clock is 24H. I use it..
Long date & 24 hours
Choose English (New Zealand) in first tab of regional settings for long date format and for 24 hour time select HH:mm:ss in the time tab.
And if you continue to have problems you can make registry changes for date and time - see here:

I installed the imate rom 2.17 on my Tmobile MDA (USA) and I get this very strange glitch, initially the clock is set on the 24 hour setting instead of using AM/PM so I go into settings and change the regional setting to US english the defualt is united kingdom english, and when I click ok this resolves the problem, temporarily. until I soft reset the phone. Then the 24 hour clock is put back for good. after I soft reset the phone no matter which regional setting I use there is no more am/pm, there 24 hour clock is there to stay my only option is to hard reset the phone, and start all over, but I reach the same point because whenever I soft reset I am back where i started,
PLEASE PLEASE help me, I do not have the brain power to read the 24 hour clock how should I know what 17:30 means, its 5:30 pm for god sake
When you go into Regional Settings have you actually gone to the "Time" tab?
There you can set it. The ones that start with hh: are the 12 hour clock. The ones that start with HH are the 24 hour clock. Doesn't matter. When you click on one it shows you an example of what the time will look like.
Hope this helps

have you tried setting the STFmt value in the registry?
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\nls\overrides\STFmt
chage the H or HH to h or hh

Search for these 2 files "HH_HOME_pm.png" and "HH_HOME_pm.png" in your Windows directory you must have those to display "am" & "pm". Or use the Home Customizer to pick a clock color of your choice to restore alll files required for the clock.

i will go with JR_de. go to regional settings>Time and select Time Style. You may need to use the hardware buttons to adjust the settings(I had to do so on my TyTN II)..i believe the settings should show h:mm:ss tt..
clock
The AM/PM should be built-in with almost all Home graphic sets.
The clock icon means that there is an alarm set....
I sloved this problem on my Kaiser. I had setted up English (Ireland) regional settings. English (ireland) has not 'hh:mm:ss tt' time format so i changed it on registry and it is worked but no in HTC Home. Someone who have this problem can try this:
Go to regional settings and set up English UK option. Now go to the time tab and and set up hh:mm:ss tt time format. Now go to the first tab and change to English (Ireland) back. For it is working. Sorry for my english. Best regards and thanks for any help.
thanks a lot art12345
With your last indications I have been able to get it!!!
even for spanish option
again, thanks for your help
I am happy that it is working on your Kaiser too. You are welcome. Best regards.
I Donno But It Was 24 Hour Clock Then One Day It Changed To Pm But Now Its Back To 24 Hour Clock, How Do I Change To Am/pm?
You just have to go into settings and then into the system tab and then into regional settings. There should be a time format in there.
thx but after changing it remains the same of 24 hour clock..
Now that is strange.... Which panel are you using?
touchflo 3d
altho i changed back to the xperia panel (top left corner) it still 24 hour clock...
help pls.. piush
So your settings regional settings are set to United States? If thats the case i don't know what to tell u besides there is some glitch. try uninstalling touchflo 3d and reinstalling it. Since this is across ur entire system i think ur regional settings are set wrong
How Should I Set My Settings In Exact Form Pls Help ><
You should only have to change the regional settings to the united states.
Settings->System->Regional Settings->Region
Set that to United States and look at the appearance samples. You should be able to see your time format and if its still doesn't have an am or pm go to the time tab and change time style to h:mm:ss tt
i tried all... doesn't work tho
Best other option i can give you is a hard reset. It should work fine. Have u tried to uninstall tfl3d?

Hi there
I'm looking for someone who can help me with adjusting the regional settings on my phone.
I've got the region set to the right one, English (South Africa) where I am, but I would like to have more options with regards to date display...
the only options I have are either "yy/mm/dd" or "yy-mm-dd"
and I'd really like to change it to "ddd, dd mmm, yyyy"
From Modaco:
Change the Short Date Format
Applications may call upon the system to provide a 'short date format'. One such application is the Date/Time display in the taskbar, if set to show the date. To change the Short Date Format to show "Mon/2" (example):
HKLM\nls\overrides\SSDte = "ddd/d " (REGSZ string, no quotes)Note 1: For more information on date/time formatting strings, see: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...vbenlr98/html/vafmtuserdefineddateformats.asp
Note 2: All applications using the short date format will be affected by this change. Choose wisely
Aaaaahhhh THANK you very much... there's not enough space on the line to show it all, but at least I can change it... thanks :-D
I am using eastern european 1.48 rom for my hd2 and locale settings is set to Polish (where I use the phone). after the reboot I cannot set to 24 hours clock and this thick box is grey out. WTF?

Thanks for hint! Works
Settings tab in SenseUI; go to the 'Menu' (right softkey): All Settings
in the start menu, select the 'System' icon
Then Regional Settings and adjust your clock on the 'Time' tab by setting the 'h' to 'H'
that did it for me
