I just got my Cingular 8525 2 weeks ago and I hate the BT that is loaded on the phone. It takes me like 10 min just to try an connect to my Headset. I have to keep refreshing the connection and the headset rarely connects with voice calls. Is their anything i can do to fix this???

I am not having much luck with my new headset.
First time I bond the headset it works fine, but once bluetooth tools shuts down the bluetooth after a call, the headset it never gets it back correct.
The headset will still link and the call button will take the call, but I can't communicate.
After you have taken a call on the headset, is there a way of getting the call back onto the xda?
I even tried leaving the bluetooth on all the time but that wasn't that successful either.
Anyone else using the logitech can they please advise me how they manage it's use.
Thanks.
I have been using logitech BT headphones love the unit. I dont have any problems except for the delay for it to connect to the phones. I have to wait for about 2 seconds before its connected to the phones when receiving calls. BTW I have been using it for the past 6 months. 8)
Do you use Bluetooth tools or just the stock standard bluetooth support?
Thanks.
Wondering if anyone has had this problem. I haven't pinned a time down yet. I use a motorola car kit. It will disconnect and end the call for no reason. Is there a timer to auto disconnect in the bluetooth stack? Any help is appreciated.
approx 4minutes or less
I was having a problem w/mda and bluetooth and sometimes without bluetooth, in that the entire network would just drop when the call gets close to 4 minutes.... I called tmo about it and they simply gave up and said maybe its the phone...so they sent me a replacement mda, used it today during one call and couldn't believe that the call lasted longer than an hour...
Mine is only with bluetooth. I guess a little more info is needed. If I hit the voice dial button on my car kit I get the voice command tone. I have also used bluetooth to play music over the car kit with the voice command controls(just for fun, horrible quality). It will disconnect while it's playing music no call involved. I have a feeling it's the bluetooth connection timing out but I'm not sure. It's frustrating.
so its not happening during phone calls???
see there might be a bluetooth timeout that tmo doesn't know about...I have to use bluetooth and it seems like every 4min or less it blanks out everything and sometimes I even have to re pair the two devices.... I would try making calls and using the bluetooth w/o car kit...mine did some of the samethings like streaming music thru bt headseat and it would blankout with that also even when not on a call..
Car Kit Not Staying Paired???
I guess I wasn't clear. It happens in both situations. I think i have to re-pair after as well. As far as I know it doesn't stay paired. When a call comes in I usually have to wait about 2 rings before it rings through the car kit. Also when I make a call by hitting the voice dial button on the car kit the blue light blinks for about 2 seconds then I get the voice command sound. I assume that the blinking is it re-pairing. I guess I need info on how to keep it paired.
Anyone? I have found that time dosen't seem to be a issue as it has done it a 1min 43 seconds and 2 mins 38 seconds.

Try turning on the bluetooth first while your phone is off. Once the bluetooth is on, then turn on your cell phone. I tried many times in frustration why it is saying "phone is disconnected" looking for problems. Then it works now and even the phone book in my Nokia and Garmin GPS. Hope it helps you too.
Turn on bluetooth device first while the cell phone is off. Once bluetooth is on, then turn on the latter. Hope it works. Do it everytime you use bluetooth device in your car.
As some of my phone calls has low volume (especially in the evening, when I would talk a lot), I decided to use my Logitech BT headset.
It's much better, and a lot louder, so even the network is crappy sometimes, I can hear the other better during the call.
But the problem is that after a time (yesterday after 40 minutes, today after 18 minutes), the Vario II (with cooked WM6, Black Majik) simply drops my headset, and the sound returns to the earspeaker of the Vario II.
The headset works properly, so after the call I checked the comm manager and find that the Bluetooth module of the Vario II has been turned off, although I didn't touch the phone during the entire call.
What could be the problem? Has anyone a solution? Or a hotfix?
I wouldn't like to change my ROM, because then I cannot restore my MMS messages (I don't know a working solution to backing up and restoring MMS messages).
Hi
I have the T-Mobile G2 Touch and a Motorola S9 headphones. Using the Origianl Stock T-Mobile ROM i have had no issues with bluetooth.
BUT
using the generic 2.73 ROM i have issues with connecting to the headset
It will connect, then instantly disconnect, then try to connect again, at which point it fails to connect properly
To Reproduce:
Using a HTC Hero & 2.73 ROM
Pair your S9's with the Hero
then Turn off the S9's and Bluetooth
Then turn on Bluetooth, and the S9's with the Bluetooth Settings up
you will see it say "Connected with Media", "Paired but not Connected", then "Connecting......." at which point it will fail
I have tried all the different radio versions to make sure it isnt a issue with the radio, but the same problem prevails.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this issue? or what is causing it?
I also had issues with an unlocked Hero and a Sennheiser MM200 headset. Worked perfectly on original rom, but very fiddly to setup with the 2.73 rom.
The only way I can get them to work properly with the phone is to:
1) Make sure headset is turned off, as well as bluetooth on phone
2) Turn on headset
3) Then turn on bluetooth on phone
Headset connects as normal - any other sequence doesn't work.
I have tried this, and it doesnt seem to work. I have been trying it for the last hour.
While in Bluetooth Settings it says its connected with media, then is disconnects, then it trys to connect again, and then it just says "Connecting.........." for ages
The Headset light flashes as if it was connected.
I also had problems connecting MM200. I could connect it, but then it kinda stuck when i was pressing play button.
But then i decided to check my old sony ericsson bluetooth headset - it was working normally. And after that the MM200 also was working. One wonders.
Still i've noticed some stuttering problems when song starts. And it seems to start with faster tempo and then slow down after 10 seconds to normal speed (could be related to that stuttering? Trying to compensate for the lost time or something). No issues when i'm listening to wired headphones - so it must either something with hero bluetooth or MM200.
I have to check how it works with my old headset, but i'm kinda afraid of having MM200 connection problems again.
Ok
i will keep playing around. i have some CX-300II coming next week so i have a backup plan if i cant get the bluetooth stuff working properly
Thanks for your help

I think the speeding up / slowing down and stuttering is more to do with the Hero - I have tried the headset connected to a laptop and there is no problem whatsoever. Hopefully the next Android update will improve the bluetooth problems.
not compatible with new mazda 3
Well the hero is probably the best phone ive had and ive had many many phones over the years including the jesus phone which was pants.
Well ive just bought a new mazda 3 and unfortunately the hero does not like connecting to the car via bluetooth. tried all sorts. sometimes it works but usually only for a couple of times and then manages to lock the car radio up.
So its bye bye hero for me as i need a compatable phone for my car. looks like its back to nokia...shame as i really love the phone

After the software update AT&T 4.5.141US (Android 2.3.6) is a problem, the phone has become like a strange connection to lose bluetooth headset.
What exactly happens:
The sound skips in the headset, but the phone shows the headset connected. The headset, in turn, is showing signs of life. If you wait about 3 to 7 minutes, then reconnect the headset and the phone will work. And so it happens quite often.
I thought that there is a problem with the headset, but poprobyval three sets of row and at the same time from another phone (Nokia N8) everything works fine.
