I tried looking in the forum for any info on the status LED next to the speaker on the front side but I don't see any posts on this. Is this LED supposed to flash or do something? On my HD it has never worked? Is it supposed to work?
I remember on my Artemis it would flash green for good reception, blue for bluetooth and red if the battery was low.

I may be wrong but i was under the impresion that this was a sensor rather than a LED.
No, that's entirely correct, it is the light sensor. The LED is in the power button.
the status led is on the power button on the top right hand side of the blackstone...the place u highlighted is a sensor as what scotia has point out..
I think that it is a proximity sensor used to blank screen when you put the phone on your ear to talk.
It's actually the light sensor used for when you have automatic display brightness enabled. When it's dark, it turns down the brightness... And when it's a sunny day it cracks it up. I am not sure whether it's used to blank the screen during a call... This seems to happen after a period of time has elapsed.

ok thanks for the info.
So does the power LED on the top side flash any color to show the status of the reception or does it only light up orange when it charges?
Thanks.
doesn't do anything for reception..although mine flashes green hen I have a message/email/reminder
pity though, a decent LED to show such things was probably high on everyone's wishlist
No, the HD is perfectly unobtrusive. On my last PDA the LED had to be tweaked to stop flashing.
Too bad this isnt a LED diode Since I got on my Diamond a light notification (on the bottom of device)... when I recieved new sms... now on HD there is no way I can figure do I have new sms or notification unless I turn the screen on. The only hardware flaw by mine opinion
When its lying down, I agree with you. Then I have to turn on the screen. However when its lying next to me I'm usually not in a place were I can't use my phone, so the sound is on anyway.
I actually think its quite good the LED is on the top, it's easelly visible when the phone is in my pocket. I just have to pull the phone up a little and look down to see the LED (no need to get it out and turn the screen on). I like it on the top, nice and discreet, and not anoying me when I'm looking at the device while using it.
Perhaps a combination would be nice? Front and top That would sattisfy most people I guess...
At the top of the phone you have what i thought were 2 lights, the left turning amber when charging and green when fully charged, when the phone is on normal standby i thought it flashed periodically, does it cos mine does not? secondly the other side which is a 'light sensor' but i thought this went blue when bluetooth was activated, again mine does not, my phone is Brand new with 6.5 preinstalled, is my phone faulty? i am sure on previous HTC models the right side was a 'blue light' so to clarify when my phone is in normal 'standby' there are NO lights, the only lights are on the left side which go amber when charging and solid green when fully charged and flashes green when there is a missed call or sms, the right side appears just to be a 'sensor' Is this all correct.
Any clarification will be much appreciated.
Thanks
GD
On the left you have a LED, which behaves in the way you wrote, except for the fact that it flashes when you have a missed call or a new message, not during normal stand-by. On the right is a light sensor which, of course, will never flash nor become blue when bluetooth is active.
Whenever I wake my phone up, the signal bar and the H/3G icon turns from green to white? Why is this happening and is this normal? Data works when it is turned white, is this bad?

This is my first major attempt at widget-making with Zooper. It came about from my wanting a clock where the hands spelled out the hours and minutes, which is something that I just couldn’t find anywhere. The project then grew from there as I thought about more and more things I wanted to include.
Here are the main things to know:
• Tap the weather icon in the middle, or either of the hands to get to the widget configuration screen. The other modules are either locked, or have specific on-tap actions.
• The hands are the words for the hours and minutes, with the hour hand being all caps and the minute hand being all lowercase.
• The hands change words to “CONNECT charger” when the battery level hits 15%.
• The outer ring is a battery meter, with remaining battery power in blue.
• The top left text tells how long the device has been unplugged or charging. While charging, the text changes to green. When the battery is at 100%, the text will read “Fully Charged” and turn a cyan color.
• Bottom right tells how long until sunset or sunrise, with a dynamic icon.
• The small bar at the inner bottom of the battery ring is a wifi/cell signal bar. When connected to wifi, the bar is green. When not connected, it is orange.
• Directly under the battery ring is displayed either the SSID of the connected wifi network, or the type of cell coverage if wifi is not connected.
• For the agenda portion of the widget, the small rectangles in between the date/time and the title of the event will turn blue if the event is ongoing. If the event is an all-day event, the event title text will turn blue as well.
• I use a completely black background to save battery power, so I made this widget with that in mind. I’m not entirely sure how it will work with other wallpaper colors/backgrounds.
• For the sunrise/sunset text, it only gave me the correct amount of time if I specified the location in the widget settings. It gave an incorrect time if I chose to “Use location provided by Cell/WiFi.” This might be a limitation of Zooper, or something that I don’t understand in the programming.
I can’t think of anything else at the moment, so enjoy!

I am trying to figure out a way to remove the lightning icon on the top left of my screen, which appears when I plug in my charger. I am pretty sure that this is only a recent occurrence, as I don't recall seeing this icon previously. Is there a way to disable this charging icon on the top left of my screen? I just think it unnecessary to have two separate indications that the phone is charging.
Am I the only one who gets both symbols indicating that the phone is charging?
