3 Voicemail Speed Dial Bug after ROM Upgrade 1.35 - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Hi Guys,
After upgrading my SPV M3100 ROM to HTC 1.35, I no longer have my 3 voicemail speed dial shortcut, I've been searching this forum for a solution but no success, tried the voicmail registry hack, tried getting into phone settings to get voicmail settings from network no luck all I get is the text message centre number. Now the most bizzare thing is if I insert a SIM from other networks i.e. Orange, T-Mobile or O2 I dont have the problem I get voicemail speed dial for the respective networks. My USIM can't be faulty becuase before the upgrade the voicemail speed dial worked fine on the Orange ROM 1.23.
It's a shame as this ROM is very stable none fo the freeze issues or slowness that was the whole reason I upgraded. Any solutions or anyone has the same bug after upgrading to this ROM?

ATOM Phone issue - Voicemail

Hi
I have been using an ATOM for almost 2 years now , I have updated the device with all the latest ROMs official and unofficial , currently it is running on WM6 0.7 ROM posted by Jiggs.
The one major issue that has been there in WM5 and WM6 ROMs is the phone goes to Voicemail without ringing almost everyday randomly.
friends who call me say that when they dial my number , it does not ring but goes immediately to voicemail ,
I have not been using the phone during the time and I have verified that the signal is available ..
Anyone else face this issue?
You need to call your service provider, it has nothing to do with the roms your using.
Thanks Home User
I have currently changed to a Sony ericcson P990i to confirm the issue is device or service provider specific.
Will observce for the next week and then call the service provider if the isse persists.

Call problems

I have an Qtek 9100 G4 (wizard G4) and i am dialing with the provider T-Mobile NL (Dutch).
Since the past few days i have some problems with calling people (especially mobile numbers).
When i dial them i hear : this number isn't available, check the number and dial again. But the numbers i call are 100% correct.
I flashed my device back to the original Qtek rom (2.18.7.06) and still have problems. Then decided to flash to the Black Diamond 3.1 rom.
Still problems
Then flashed a new radio rom 02.19.11, still problems.
Then i decided to put my SIM-card in a nokia device (N80), and no problems at all.
Now my girlfriend has put her SIM-card in the wizard to see if she also got problems with the device, but the first impression saays she doesn't have calling problems.
I thought it could be a defect SIM-card , but it's strange i can call with my SIM in a nokia device.
Does anybody have some tips to see what the real problem is ??
Thanks !

Orange SPV M700 - Voicemail notification problem, please help it's driving me mad!!

Hi there
I am sitting here with lots of pulled-out hair lying around me on the floor. I have a problem with voicemail on my Orange SPV M700 which is wearing me down to a pitiful heap and if one of you clever people can help I will be grateful for even longer than eternity (and that's a very long time!).
I have an Orange SPV M700 which refuses to notify me when someone has left a voicemail. I think it's probably been like it ever since I started using an Orange 3G PAYG sim (I think it's called a USim).
Firstly, I have seen odd postings by others who have problems with voicemail on their SPV M700s, but they are normally people who have upgraded to WM6. I have not touched the operating system on my SPV M700 so am still running Windows Mobile ver 5.
By doing some tests/process of elimination, I have established the following:
1) Orange 3G PAYG SIM card does NOT give Voicemail notification when used in my Orange SPV M-700, but if I put the same Orange 3G PAYG SIM card into another phone (a old Samsung E700) the voicemail notification DOES work of the Samsung! Therefore I concluded that the problem isn't with the Orange SIM card or even, I presume, the Orange network.
2) An old Orange PAYG SIM card that I used to use DOES give Voicemail notification when in Orange SPV M700. Therefore I concluded that the Orange SPV M700 IS actually capable of giving out voicemail notifications. Please note that I notice that when the old Orange SIM card is in the SPV M700 the small square icon on the today screen top-bar is showing an "E" as the type of connection (I presume that's what it means?). When the problematic Orange 3G PAYG SIM card is in the SPV M700 the small square icon normally is showing a "3G"
This has led me to conclude that it's something to do with the SPV M700 not being happy with the Orange 3G PAYG SIM - or at least there's some setting that is wrong etc. However I have tried most things and still it refuses to notify me of awaiting voicemails.
Here is a list of my configuration settings on my SPV M700. If anyone can spot something that is wrong which may be the reason why I don't get voicemail notifications I'd be so grateful to know what is wrong as I can't keep phoning my voicemail all the time, just to see if anyone has left a message, as it's costing a lot of money to do that. By the way - I don't have any problems being notified that a new text message has been sent, that seems to work fine.

Basically I have everything set to notify me and also Display message on Screen.I am hoping someone can help - letting me know if I have something set up incorrectly or whether I need a fix for the phone etc. I would rather not upgrade to WM6 as I feel that I might end up with more problems. I am quite happy with WM5 - it's just the voicemail problem...
Thanks for taking the time to read this posting - I am sure I can't be the only Orange SPV M700 owner who has had this problem?
Cheers for now
Man in need of Assistance...
Theres a cab file floating around somewhere called smsfix (if memory serves me right). This used to cure the voicemail problem with orange sims, hope this helps.
Sorry, its called sms providers fix.
Have alook at this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1212958&postcount=20
The "sms providers fix" will fix the problem as i've been using it for over a year with no issue's.
Hi - firstly many thanks for taking the time to post a reply to my problem. I will check out the "sms providers fix". I have seen a couple of refernences to it when I originally searched however it only ever seemed to be for people who had upgraded their ROMs to WM6. I have never done that and am still running the original Orange WM5 so assumed that the correct dll's etc were still on my WM5 phone.
I will download the files and see what happens.
...just noticed that user "Forza" mentions to make sure that the sdk certificates are installed first before installing the "sms providers fix" - do you reckon that would apply to me when I am still using the original Orange WM5 ROM?
Thanks again!
Bit miffed that although the SPV M700 looks & feels nice - buggy MiniSD card handling & other weird stuff means that I have got to get involved with all this Hard SPL-ing, ROM Upgrading & Radio stuff - confusing to a novice like me... time will tell if it's all been a big mistake!

just seen that in your sig.....
trust me mate, its worth every minute flashing your rom, especially up to 6.1....much better than WM5
i was in the same boat as you, SPV M700 straight out of the box locked to orange etc...now im on custom roms, unlocked to any network, and on 6.1......best thing i ever did.
Hi Gizmolisa
Thanks for your reply. I guess I kinda know that you are right about upgrading to WM6. It's something I have fancied doing ever since getting the SPV M700 - my main problem is the concerns I have if I screw it up. I use the SPV M700 so much (not actually much as a phone - more for its PDA features) and if I botched up the upgrade I'd be really lost without it.
Having said that... maybe I should pluck up the courage and have a go. It just seems that there's quite a lot of things you have to get just right and because it's the Orange version of the Trinity i gather that once I start there's no going back to the original setup if things go wrong.
Wish I was braver!!!!
Cheers - still thinking about taking the plunge!!!!

M700 Phone not working

Was given a SPV M700 with WM6 (Rom version 2.0.8.1), GPS and WiFi working great but not the phone - cannot get a connection and I have tried different working Sim cards! Do I reflash with a new WM6 rom (which is recommended?) or just with a Radio Rom (current version 1.46.00.11) . Oh, I have checked the IMEI and that is not blocked. I don't mind having a go at reflashing as I also have a workiing HTC P3600. Never done this work so any help appreciated.
M700 not working
I have flashed the "phone" with a new radio rom but still getting the message that it cannot register to any of my selected networks. Next step, I guess, is to try a completely new rom. Any one got any ideas why the "phone" is not registering? **Update** Have tried two different 6.1 roms this morning and still can't get the phone to register with any networks????
Replying to myself, I know.. Latest situation is that latest Radio rom and decent WM 6.1 rom installed. I have inserted a Virgin Sim Card from another working phone and it shows a UMTS T-Mobile UK connection and even the 3G icon. However, when I try to dial out, it immediatly drops the line and if I try calling the phone I get the message that "calls are not currebtly being connected to ths number". ****Any clues****
is the virgin sim new have you used it before ie is it active?
and the phone is not set to flight mode silly i know but my girl put my phone in flight mode and it took me a few hours trying to find out why i was not able to make a call but i only had the phone a few days and did nt knw it had a flight mode.
if its not some thing like that then not sure what else to look at sorry cant be more help
Did the phone ever work? You mention that you got it, did it work for that person?
what provider did he use?
Is it locked?
did you try to cid unlock it?

[Q] OSF with japjelly RLS9 not receiving voice calls

I have recently flashed an Orange SF with the JJ9 2.2 android custom ROM.
Have re-inserted the original (PAYG) orange sim, and checked the obvious stuff (WAP browsing, texts, MMS, voicemail, GPS, e-mails etc) were all OK.
Downloaded some apps from the marketplace - no problem.
I then swapped out the orange sim for for a (PAYG) 3 UK sim, and repeated the checks.
All was OK, except that SF CANNOT now receive voice calls from other mobiles but CAN can receive voice calls from landlines.
Swapped out the 3 UK sim for a (PAYG) 02 sim, and got exactly the same result (no voice calls received from mobiles)
any ideas what I might try to solve this problem?
TIA
Flashed mine with the de-orangenated ROM and used my Virgin Mobile SIM with it, no issues with voice calls whatsoever. I suggest the following:
- Flash to stock or de-orangenated (better start),
- Check your O2 SIM works as expected,
- Flash to JJ,
- check O2 SIM works as expected,
If not then one of JJ tweaks produce the issue and you should just change ROM as it is no longer in development (efforts are now pushed on Swedish Spring ROM which requires going Gen2).
@gloc33
thanks for that info
after fiddlimg around deleting and re-installing settings amongst the various sims, I somehow managed to get rid of this glitch.
I take your point re Swedish Spring - I'll give it a go

No, Swedish Spring does not require this.
