Hi Folks,
Does anyone know if it's the same volume switch as the Magician?
By this I mean is it the same slider switch on circuit board? I broke I button on my Wizard and I'm thinking of salvaging one off a faulty Magician.
Or if anyone else knows I can get hold of a switch, please let me know
Thanks

can you still see the boton inside or is totally break?
Hi, late reply
I still can see the button, it also clicks, when pushing it. The black plastic cover (antenna-cover) arround the button is broken.
I fear, that some soldering on the mainboard is broken...

Install Mortscript then use this script. I use it on my Touch. I hate the power buttons on these phones. Except for the Wizard. That was a nicely placed/tactile power button.
Thanks for the responses guys, Can I clarify that I need to power off the unit NOT put it to sleep (hibernate), ie I want to replicate what happens when you press the power button for 4-5 seconds completely power down the unit
Hi Guys!
if got a big problem, the Power Button on my Herald does not do anythink. The switch is broken, so could i set up an other button (f.e. the Commmanager Button) to be the Power Button? Only as fix for some month, than i want to grab me a new HTC. Thank you very much, i hope anyone have somethink for me.
Thanks!
No, you cannot switch your power buttons functionality to a different hard-key. The power button is hard wired to the main bored to provide that function, its not software based like the other ones are.
hm thats mad, okay lucky for me i can get an other one on frieday
Hi guys, I have a problem, since my 1 year old got hold of my hero - the accept call, menu and trackball centre buttons do not work,
I have taken the phone to bits, had a good look round the button pads and they are all dry and look fine.
Does anyone know where I could get spares or have had the same issue?
Thanks
Mark
Hello everyone,
has anyone else noticed you have to press the keys a couple of times to get them to take, especially if you hold the phone in an upward position? Sorry that's the way I hold the phone and I am sure I can't be the only one ? Thank you
