Ok, Im looking for any kinda of help in creating a performance cab for my device. i want to make it a cab so that it will run in the extended rom. I know how to do the extended rom but need some help with making a cab file to modify the reg and such. Like what molski has done with his 2 cab files. i would use those but there are things in his that I dislike. Any info will be gratefully appreciated.

I newly un-hid and found my Ext_Rom in my Dopod 818.I was wondering how I can delete ClearVue's (Default PDF reader) cab file from its list.I tried and analyzed all of the files within the extended Rom but I don't know which one is installing this damn ClearVue while costumizing my Dopod.
Is there any brilliant hero around to help me on that?I would be really appreciated.

Nobody knows what is the name of damn cb file in Extended Rom that installs Clearvue???
It is unbelievable to not be able to find even one with enough knowledge about that?!?!?!?

does anyone could please give a good hand and may have the file explorer as in Helmi_C ROM (or in PDAVIET ) as a cab to install on present Xplode ROM.

I re-flash Helmi_C ROM and it is a different program
since I don't know how to Extract Helmi_C ROM and take the files from there and place them in your ROM, I need help

Actually, scratch my last post.
I copied the CAB file over to the device and installed it seemingly succesfully. Unfortunately, it won't run.
Error states:

Can't find "RSSHub" (or one of it's components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available.
I noticed there isn't an executable in the CAB file, alas I know nothing of how these things work. I'm a bit of a newbie to this kind of thing so any help is appreciated!

i have downloaded an light ROM with just the WM6.1 O.S.
i've also downloaded all the programs in Cab Format.
Please anybody can tell me how to add them in thr ROM so i can cook the rom
with all the programs?
I need to know the process and the programs to use.
I already have some programs but do not know if they are ok
and the right ones.

I'm looking to create a WM6 ROM for a device which only has WM5 ROMs available for it. I understand the basic principles in ROM cooking but I'm not sure where I'd start with this one.

You have to extract the XIP first. I tried creating one for my Dell Axim X51 (mid) but never finished it. Aslong as you know how to extract the XIP from your device and then create a rom you should be alright lol.
I dont know that much tbh. No one bothers with questions like this on this forum dunno why its just the way it is I guess. Would be nice for a tutorial on how to create Roms etc. but i suppose you will get people who dont have a clue trying to do it.

Yeah I've been doing a bit of looking round and you're right. Extract XIP and replace with WM6.1 XIP, being careful not to loose any oem files in the process. That's basically how it seems to go anyway
