Unlock CID of Prophet SPL 2.xx

The programmers of www.pdamobiz.com in Thailand have successfully unlocked the CID for HTC Prophet SPL 2.xx. More information is available at:

Does anyone succefully download the unlock program? the connexion is very very slow on their server (I'm downloading in Bytes/sec :shock: instead MBytes)...

Im probably missing something here, but isnt it enough just using Machinagod great No ID crack when upgrading a ROM?
Just copy it to the nbf files and run it, works like a charm.
So, what is the difference with this application?

I don't know the app you're talking about, but we're talking here about downgrading, not upgrading a rom...
Moreover, does your application remove CID on prophet with SPL 2.xx ?

well, should have tested that before speaking...
doesn't work for me, once run the downgrading program, I soft reset but the device stay blocked on splah and I can't connect back to active sync to run the unlock program... too bad, that seemed to be a good way to downgrade rom :?

...great work! just used it on my qtek s200 that i've accidently flashed with the latest o2 germany rom without cid-unlocking before. now i can really put any rom on it

Actually I tried various time... I'm on the last Dopod rom, i started as said, then when I reboot, the device is stuck on dopod splash screen...
So I have to go into the boot loader in order to reflash the dopod rom I have... at least I can do that and keep my S200 working
Maybe this doesn't work with the last Dopod rom, but at least it worked for others

we need a Thai to Eng. translation to understand the problem
Unfortunately my device can not continue with second step. After I softreset it; the device freezes. Neither hardresetting, nor putting in bootloader and continuing with hard or soft reset helps. I reflashed the latest Dopod ROM and continued to use it.
I can not read Thai language but from the original discussion (not english but in Thai language) I see that a number of people are having the same problem. I also understand that the suggested solution works for some others.
The english version is not a full translation of the original discussion; translation of a lot of answers are missing.
We need the help of our Thai friends to understand what is going on.

I guess that it works on certain rom version, if you've the dopod one like I had, then it confirm that this method is useless with the last dopod rom...
But we have confirmation it work with other roms... maybe it's not really working on SPL 2... roms :?

I took a look on the Thai version, now it's clear that it doesn't work on the last dopod rom SPL 2.15 !!!!!!!

cedrick - Sorry you have failed to CID-unlock your Prophet and congratulations to lutzh that has succeeded.
From the Thai version of this utility, many people could unlock their devices but some did fail to do that. Not sure only the SPL 2.15 or not that couldn't be unlocked but at least 2 people claimed that their devices are SPL 2.15.
The website programmers are still trying to investigate and find the solution to help people who failed. Please hang on. Good luck!

No problems about the failure, that's already nice to see tools like that that can help a bunch of people.
Now I hope it will also work on the dopod rom as I really liked it and I would like to update my prophet with this rom. But I prefer to wait until there's a way to get back to whatever rom :wink:

Resets itself...

I have a strange problem. For no reason my O2 Mini S soft resets iteself. Any clue why this happens and how I can prevent it? Thanks.

Update the rom if it is a pre-aku2 rom. The older roms had a habit of doing this.

Should be a straight update if you use the latest o2 rom, no need to unlock your device if you know your never going to use non-o2 roms. V unlikely to have a problem if you go down this path.

Siemens SX66
I dont know how close these phones are to one another, but I have the SX66 and for the last week or so, it just out of the blue, will soft reset itself... It is Very frustrating... I have even done a hard reset back to factory specks,,, and it still does it...
I am totally lost here.

Ok. Thanks for the confidence. I have downloaded the O2 ROM from their UK site, and currently my ROM says: ROM 1.1.7.5/Radio Ver: 01.08.10/ Protocol Version: 4.0.13.18/ExtROM Version: 1.1.7.105. I think this is a German O2 because the keys on the keyboard are of that layout. So will it be a problem if I upload a ROM from the UK site? Thanks.

On your device check settings\device info. If your rom ends in WWE then that is english then the one from the uk site will be fine. If it ends in GER then you need the german rom from the german o2 site.

I have not found anywhere else. But if your menus are in english it will be a WWE rom. Keyboard layout may be german but can be changed afterwards by a reg tweak if its a problem.

Successful Upgrade but...
I did successfully upgrade to the UK version of the O2 ROM Ver. 2.21, but not there is a strange problem sometimes the phone just hangs after going on standby, I can see the greenlight blinking for the phone signal but it wont come back on when I press the power button. I have to remove the battery and then it restarts. Any solution to this problem or is it a bug? Thanks.

A new test ROM for the HTC Artemis is available on xda-developers!

You can find the ROM upgrade on the "Shipped Complete ROM" section of the Artemis wiki page or in xda-developers ftp:

I don't own an Artemis and can't test it so I don't know what's on this ROM and what's different from the previous one, if you try it please post details about it.

Is there a hacked ROMUpdateutility.exe already out?
I tried to update with the hacked one from the HTC Prophet but it always tells my File not found but the filename is the same so i think HTC did a good job here to prevent it.
Any ideas?

your device seems to flashed with pre-production bootloader. I sorry to say that, but you need to upgrade your bootloader first. Otherwise you would not be able to flash new firmware to your device.

P.S. this 2.67.90 radio has sensational battery life. amazingly good.

Did you find other improvements? i.e. more stable gprs connection data?
Whats really mean test rom? Only a non certified rom, or it introduce something other to test the unity stability and then make a log o something similar?

The only one reason why I reflash my device was that originally it was with the French ROM, so it was unappropriated for me.
So now I have this "Test WWE" ROM on my device and did not notice any difference with "certified French" ROM. Only one thing, when you soft-resetting the device, it will show screen says "TEST UI..... blah-blah-blah".

Is there a problem with the ftp? Or howcome I can not download the file?
I just bought a french version. Now I would like to set it up in english as far as possible. Any ideas what I need to do, and how I get hold of the correct ROMs?

I can download it... check that no firewall is blocking you.

Tmouk_wwe is a t-mobile rom! I'm almost sure you don't want this one!!!

Maybe you guys might be of a help too me. I had a Artemis which is bought from china. Now I want to change the rom to english rom but the bootloader version in build is 1.27 is there anyway for me to downgrade it to version 1.25? Please do advice me on this. Thanks.

Help me I'm stupid! Orbit boot problem after bad flashing

hi I've tested a new powermap.exe dopod rom but after reboot my O2 still freez on boot screen (I can see only O2 boot screen with radio and rom version), so I can't connect my Orbit in windows mode, only in IPL boot (via usb) but I've this error when lounch any rom:
INVALID MODEL ID ,with any original rom
INVALID UPDATE TOLL ,with any modified for imeicheck upgrade
yes, I've unlock my Orbit via imeicheck but now I must have the original Germa rom for repair it...please anyone konw the solution of my problem or have any original German O2 rom?

If you had unlocked your Device with IEMI Check, and everything was fine, and you sure that your device is now CID unlocked, than try T-Mobile original ROM (should help) IF not? So ... Welcome Here

That's strange... I thought that you should be able to flash any ROM after unlocking, not just the original German one. Maybe something went wrong during unlocking? I suggest that you send an email to those guys from imei-check, maybe they can offer you a solution.

you only can get it back to life with an O2-XDA-German-ROM (which odes not exist right now).
The other option is to send the device to repair (service centre).
The unlocker can NOT work in case your device has a malfunction (it is described in DETAIL that the unlocker requires a working ActiveSync connection on the our web site where you purchase the unlock).

do you know where is the TM shipped rom? I have O2 Orbit and originary was GERMAN rom...

It is posible only if your Device is CID unlocked ... If not ... only service or imei-check...

I apologize for you. My orbit was originary German and locked, so I'm unlocked it with imeicheck utility, so I was installed a HTC wwe ship rom. And yesterday I has a problem with powermap rom. Now I've solved with TMobile rom, I don't know if working because my Orbit was CID unlocked (I belive no, because if now i try to install htc wwe ship rom I've wrond ID error message..) Do you have try to install via bootloader mode? enter in bootloader, so double click on tmobile rom.

2 jokkk3r im using dopod shipped, im quite happy. its +-new dev. it'll take some time till here will be some roms or at least tools for cooking them.but most im waiting for is extrom unlocker like is for universal,thar U can use it like a storage

HTC P4350 Previous ROMS

Hi,
I tried to upgrade my Herald and when I have it a hard reboot these showed up:
IPL 1.08.0001
SPL 1.08.0001
GSM 02.71.90
Previously the GSM was Different. I think it was 1.08 something.
Now the mobile is not booting up. I tried to format it and restore it to factpry default, but it didn't work.
You guys have some clues what I can possibly do?

I think your device was still CID locked. you cannot use your device anymore UNLESS you still have the original ROM that was installed on your device. Try to upgrade to this version of ROM first. If this does not work I suggest you'd send your phone to HTC Repair Centre... Cus you own a BRICK, welcome to the club

Get the RUU of your original ROM, put your device in bootloader mode: HOLD the comm manager and camera button, and press soft reset with your stylus. connect the device via USb with yor pc, then run the upgrade utility. Et Voila, unbricked

nope, use google for that HTC never made an RUU for Herald, but WM6 RUU will be there at the end of this moth, patience!

I have just called HTC italy and they says that WM6 upgrade could be in July and not so sure that it will be in June.....

I have asket HTC for original Italian ROM but they told me to take my device to a service center. And the service center cannot update it on-the-go but has to send it away....so it will be at least 20-30 days....I hope wm6 will be out there sooner!!!

mine situation like u , up to now my pda still die i have try so many pre-rom but fail ruu . the last one i have not try the CHT rom .i try to find it but can not log in htc taiwan to take it .
