Dear friends,
I need your help to activate WI-Fi feature on my Dopod 838 branded by China Mobile in Hangzhou (CID locked).
After I attempt to activate it via Communication Manager it starts to scan for a network, but nothing can find.
I tried to turn on Wi-Fi at any public places and at home where it works properly, but everytime it does unsuccessfully..
There are no any reports after the device finished to scan just there is deactivated button.
I upgraded my device with different ROMs by this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=271043
Always it done successfully, but WI-Fi still don't work.
Finally I have upgraded with "faria-htc-wizard-aku3.3-page-pool-8mb" but still no result.
Please help.

Hi guys
I'm using an orange switzerland branded m5000, and I use buzz's unlocker yesterday to remove the SIM Lock on it. Appears top have worked fine, as I can use my wifes SIM card in it now(different provider).
However, I'm now trying to flash AKU 3.2 (Ivan's version) to my device. I let it connect to my PC with activesync, then start the RUU.exe. The screen that shows me the current versions, and what I'm upgrading to appears, and I click next. Then the small window with "gathering information from device" appears, and stays there. After about 30 seconds, my m5000 spontaneously reboots. Consequently, after another minute or two, I get a 101 connection error from the RUU.exe.
What am I doing wrong here?
Besides: My device currently (post-unlocking) claims to be running Radio V. 0.00.00, and the AKU3.2 upgarde screen claims it will only upgrade the CE Version, is this right? Am I now forever stuck of Radio V 0?

Ok, it worked. I dl'ed and flashed the 3.2 JasJar Rom first, and then Ivans beta14 worked. It's really quite a noticeable speed up. Thanks to everyone who spent their precious time developing these things.
Now all I have to do is get my providers MMS and GPRS and 3G settings back to normal.

im new at this and i recently bought a TMOBILE MDA unlocked about 3 weeksago. It was working fine until last night wen I turned off my phone and turned it back on.Now it is telling me that it cant find a network and everytime i hit PHONE select network it says it finds "cingular" tap ok. After I do that, nothing happens. I can still go on the internet and everything but I just cant use my phone.

It happened a while back when I was trying to update the radio image to latest 3.07 version and it failed saying "image corrupt". I believe my phone was again cid locked. I had done uspl unlocking a long back but I am not sure how it got re-locked.
Now when I insert a sim card into my orbit, it doesn't find the network. I trust this is as the radio image didn't update totally.
Worst of all, it fails to connect to activesync. It makes a connection as local area connection with limited connectivity. Activesync starts "troubleshooter for activesync" but to no avail. The problem isn't with activesync as activesync recognizes my other phones. Just to be sure I tried connecting it with my other computer as well and it gave the same error.
Now I am just left with the option of updating my rom using bootloader or using sd card and that too only the original rom's as I believe its CID locked again. The other rom stops updating at 3 % and the phone restarts. I tried the official o2 wm6 rom and the official o2 wm5 rom but I don't thing they have radio image as well, since the gsm problem still persists.
The activesync also still fails to connect.
Hence I trust I am left with the following:
-An orbit having O2 official wm5 rom installed with corrupted radio image.(Unable to register or find any gsm network)
-The device is cid locked
-The device not being connected by active sync.
So I am looking if anybody has a radio rom that would work on a cid locked o2 orbit(arte200). Also is there anyway to unlock cid other than activesync connection. Guys need a hand real bad...
I am using TC HK CHT version and using 3HK service. After flashing to 6.1WM, I found the following problem
1.Network selection button disappear from phone setting when using my SIM (3HK)
2. I tried to use SIM from other operator (CSL, Smartone, China Unicom), the "Network selection" button appear in Phone setting/Network tab) again.
3. Then I insert my 3HK SIM to my friend's TC (original version), the "Network selection" button appear in Phone setting/Network tab).
So I don't know whether if it is the SIM problem or WM6.1 problem.
Does anyone has the similar experience?
FYI, After upgrade to WM6.1, I also try to upgrade the Radio ROM to 1.64.08.21 but now already flash back to 1.58.21.23 because the GPS accuracy got worse.
Can anyone help me to solve this because Network Selection in Phone setting/Network is critical specially during roaming.

Today I tried to flash back to original WWE WM6 version and the problem still remain unchanged.
Does anyone has TC HK CHT version ROM, so that I could flash it back and take it to HTC to follow.

I flash my Dopod 818pro with a new Manila Blue ROM couple of days ago. It work just fine until yesterday, when i try to connect to my office wireless (WPA PSK), i cant detect anything. I get a spare AP and configure it to WEP open and my Dopod still not listing any available wireless point even after i put my Dopod ON THE wireless router beside the antenna. The indicator shows that my wireless is turned on. Tried many suggested silution but to no avail. Have tried this step :
1. Install WiFiFoFum and scan. Not Available
2. Flash ALL RADIO rom version available in this forum. Not Available
(I flash one radio rom, did a network scan before flashing another one..)
3. Flash the NVID_RUU and scan. Not Available
4. Tried not to panic and scan. Not Available
5. Tired of everything, Flash Manila Blue ROM and post here..
Does anybody have any solution?
My Dopod is a G3 with this specs :
ROM version : 20.5.61.33 WWE
Radio ROM : 02.61.21
