MDAII T-MOBILE HELP?

Hi all!,
i'm a fair oportunist! i logged into this world because i received an MDAII T-Mobile only in german language (as for sure you already know) and would like to convert it into english, french or better in italian.
Since 2 days i'm navigating between the posts, i'm learning a bit more but i fear to make a big mistake with my unit and i'm now really confused. I'm looking for a step by step procedure for real donkey (with all my respect for this great animal) of IT.
Someone can help me :?:

I have an MDA II as well, I haven't tried all of the XDA Developer options out yet so I may not have an answer to every question but ask away and I'll see if I can help.

P3300 Artemis - ROM - Help a newbie with a simple doubt

Hello ya'all. This is my first post so first of all I'd like to congratulate you for the excellent site and forum !
There is a lot of resource info around here ! Great Job !!!
But unfortunately for some new people getting into this new world of WMobile even what it looks simple to you might be slightly blurred to us.
I bought in France a HTC P3300
IPL 1.12.0001
SPL1.12.0000
GSM 02.67.90
OS 1.12.00
ROM 1.12.406.1.FRE
RADIO 02.67.90
PROTOCOL 4.1.13.28
ROM EXT V.1.12.406.101
ARTE 100
Of course the WM came in French. Well I am willing to change it to WWEnglish and I've been doing my homework researching and reading, reading, reading through this website. Found the steps to do it thanks to Kleinemeus at this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=290241 and found the DOPODAU and LOVE ROMS as well the Extended Rom in the ftp site. As well as I found my P3300 is the same as MDA compact III, XDA Orbit, P800W, Dopod P800 ....
But I still a couple of silly doubts that I gonna ask for you MASTERS your mercy to clarify me with your wisdoom and expertise.
1) After flashing my P3300 with a English ROM will it have all same basic features/programs I have in French like, the radio, tomtom gps, etc ? In other words, doing this is like getting a desktop that came with windows in french and installing a windows in english ?
2) After being successful of flashing the Rom following the steps described in the link above by Kleinmeus how can I upgrade the Extended Rom found at the ftp ?
I really appreciate if someone could help me with these 2 questions.

It should work
Be careful when flashing becos many ppl cant get it right.
If you manage to flash it successfully you should have almost the same functionality.
I dnt know abt the ROM.
Is ur phone CID unlocked?If not do it before u change the ROMS.It will be a big disaster if u get stuck in between and u cant do anything.

Yups, you'll have all the basic apps that are part of WM5.
Regarding TomTom or other Commercial GPS applications, these are not part of WM5 package and are installed by supplier, so you'll have to confirm whether the ROM that you are planning to flash has that specific GPS app.
Regardinf Extended ROM, these come as part of ROM that you will plan to flash. Usually people only take some specific apps/patches from other Extended ROM that wasn't part of supplied/flashed ROM (i guess I am right about this)

Where to find a wm6 rom for Prophet?

i am looking for a new rom without problem for my i-mate jamin. I install an upgrade version it didn't work. Actually i doN't know the name because my friend installed it at his home.

wiki is help you to understand what device you have! it tell you some things about radio rom etc ... what is a G3 or G4 device ... little discription for flashing!
look in the Forum Prophet -> upgrade prophet!
you found different windows mobile 6 roms!
the fastest WM5 rom is from ASERG AKU 3.3.13
good working rom is smarts v2 or fantastic mobiz 1.1i

Your phone is a G3..And there is nothing like "best ROM"!! Browse around the forum,read the posts and depending on the various features that each ROM provides,YOU can decide which is the best for you

English ROM for German Orbit 2?

Hi all,
I am SO eager to buy an O2 XDA Orbit 2 from Germany but I am kinda a bit too uneasy...
I will need to re-flash an English ROM to it. Either O2 UK's or HTC Touch Cruise's.
Does anyone know for sure that it can be done by simply re-flashing the ROM? No extra hacks needed?
And are these English ROMs available on the net yet?

Sorry, there is too much said in that thread, I don't think I'll find the answer to this one:

I mean that I used to re-flash ROM upgrades to my Atom Life "just like that".
What if this ROM doesn't accept the Device ID of the German Orbit 2?

A number of users have flashed this rom on orbit II after hard spl and seems to be working fine. but i suggest you spend a couple of minutes going over the thread in any case. it's always useful.

do hardspl from olipro the geatest.
flash ROM
UR now fully WWE
PS: backup UR cab files from original rom first (operator settings....) they are in \windows\ - Polaris doesnt have extRom.

Apparently it seems that you will have to hard SPL to flash. But is is quite simple, so don't worry ;-)

Don't worry, mate, I did just that two days ago. I had bought an XDA Orbit2 from O2 Germany and I hated the German ROM (actually I hate localized software even though English is not my mother tongue).
So what you do is really simple and there is no chance anything to go wrong:
1) Install HardSPL from olipro (you can find it in this forum somewhere)
2) Install the official (not the dumped one) WWE (World Wide English) ROM from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=368123
And that's it! Enjoy a "native" interface!
Later on you will be able to upgrade to any ROM by simply installing it over the previous one. The HardSPL step you do only once

I am successful in converting German O2 XDA Orbit 2 to English.
I used "Hard-SPL-V2.zip" from your given link and "RUU_Polaris_HTC_WWE_1.25.405.1_radio_sign_25.65.3 0.04_1.58.21.23_Ship.exe" as English rom.
Only TomTom was gone and is not working after new installation as advised in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1929057
but now my GPS device is not giving any signals.
