the free pc program irfanview can convert most known formats to most other known formats
wow great job on that! put me to shame!
You can also do some pretty spectacular image manipulation with the "Free- but-a-donation-would-be-very-much-appreciated-ware" tool Paint.NET which can be found...believe it or not....at "Get Paint .NET"
Can't remember if it allows the creation of, or conversion to, animated GIF format, but you can do pretty much everything else with it!!!

The blue looks good, but i think you need to make the top and bottom bars look more like WM7....
thats why I use "wm7" look, cause its not totally wm7, just my version
