Answer a call directly on speakerphone - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Hi,
Is there any way of answering calls on the speakerphone just by pressing a button? Currently (unless I'm missing something), you have to answer the call, and then press the "speaker on" button, and I would like to reduce it to a single press.
I've tried Teksoft Speakerphone, but I do not understand very well how it works.
Thanks in advance for your help

On my Dopod 838 Pro, I can answer with speakerphone by holding down the send button (button with the green phone icon on it) for a couple of seconds when answering the call. Likewise to toggle speakerphone on and off, simply hold down the send button for 2-3 seconds while in a call.

I learn somthing new everyday
Thanks for this tip

How 2 turn the speakerphone ON w/o pressing the green button

As topic. The volume of the XDA II is pretty soft, and I hardly can hear there is an incoming call while I was in a busy street. So I guess that if the speakerphone can be enable throughout the time, the ringing will greatly improve.
Anyone knows how on earth do we go about enable the speakerphone mode without pressing the green button.
I have this problem as well ... any ideas ?

Getting Skype To Use Phone Speaker rather than PDA Speaker

Hello
I have an XDAIIi and am using skype. Ive found that skype outputs to the main pda speaker, not the phone speaeker, and the quality is not a good as the phone one and of course everyone can hear your conversation.
Is there anything I can do or do we have to wait for skype to support this (if they even can?)
Are there any other applications that manage to use the phone speaker?
Thanks for any feedback
Brian
Hi Brian,
I have a Skype with my XDA2i as well & if someone calls me, my XDA's earpiece was the default. If I want to use my XDA's speakerphone (handsfree or where everybody can hear the caller), all I did was to press & hold the "call" button (they also call this as "send" button, the one you press when you answer a phone call) for around 3 seconds. If I want to deactivate the speakerphone, I press the same button for about 3 seconds.
Hold & pressing "call" button for about 3 seconds will activate/deactivate speakerphone. If you still have the XDA2i user manual, kindly check page 48.
I hope this will help you.

you mean your skype can actually work with the earpiece or you mean normal telephone call works by default with the earpiece?
Vmirage & Brian,
I'm so sorry & it was my mistake. I did not realize what I'm typing a while ago. No, you cannot use XDA2i earpiece while on call, the default is the speakerphone (PDA's speaker). Instead, I use my XDA's earphone to have a privacy while on Skype's voice call.
I got mixed up with a normal call & the Skype's voice call.
Again, my apologies.

Have you tried this?

Please, don't even try to run it on other PDAs - it's absolutely pointless

So no I didn't bother
try your BT headset, as IIi support audio gateway. just press the answer button on your BT headset & the sound will be rerouted.
unfortunatly I don't have a headset and really just want to use the phone as normal

Bundled hands free.

Hi,
How exactly is this thing supposed to work? im talking about the button on the stereo headset that comes in the box.
There seems to be no logic to me answering a call, i have to press it repeatedly to answer, pressing once or twice or even holding it in doesnt seem to answer. So far the magic number is 4 quick presses and bing it answers.
It does nothing at all if i press the button to make a call, I expected it to wait for a voice command if I do this?
Weirdly once IN a call if i press it, it will put the call on hold and another press takes it out of hold, probably as designed and suggesting the button isnt broken.
This is my second JJ too. :?
I just dont get it  Roll on the Samsung SBH-100 Bluetooth headset!

I remember in my old Nokia (or maybe Motorola or Ericsson) days, I could have my handset answer automatically within 1 ring if it was plugged in to the hands-free kit. I'd like something similar with the Universal so that when it's in landscape mode as a bedwarfed* laptop, it answers on speakerphone on any keypress, otherwise it behaves normally. I guess I'd better look into the telephony APIs...

Itech headset and Universal

Anyone have any ideas why when a call has been completed with the Itech (S38) headset the voicedial window pops up? It happens every time a call is completed, regardless of whether the call was answered using the answer button on the headset or phone. I can't find where to disable voicedialling either as I would be happy to switch it off.
It's very annoying!

Does this Itech headset have a feature to allow quick switching between Home Phone and Cell Phone? Like you press a button on the headset and you choose the Home phone or Cell phone? Because my plantronics allows me to do so but I wanted to check this Itech headset out because many people are talking of it and i got recommendations to buy it.
Switching
I don't beleive so. Once paired to the device of choice it just allows call answer via the blue LED button. This button also acts as the activator for voicedialling when in standby, which is where the problem may lie? It's just confusing as when not using the blue LED button to answer a call the voicedial window still popo up when the call has ended.

Any ideas anyone?

Voice Dialing by BT headset

Hi All!
I have a problem with HD: I can not start voice dialing by the BT headset (with Polaris worked well), but only to repeat the last call pressing 2 time the button. The headset is a Htc m200 (it supports this feature). Somebody help me solve? TNX!
Mine works fine using MSVC. I I use a cheap bluetooth headset I got from AT&T and in the car it works using my JVC car radio.
you need to hold the call button a little longer than normal and it works. Just dont press and release. hold it and you will hear a blip and make your call.
