Got a couple of quick questions :) - JAM, MDA Compact, S100 General

Hello, i currently own an I-mate Jam with ROM version 1.12.00 WWE, Radio Version 1.12.10 and extROM version 1.12.128 WWE and i just bought the Motorola HT820 bluetooth headset , the only problem is that i dont have A2DP or AVRCP
Now i want to add A2DP support and AVRCP and i found this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=249219
my questions are:
1) is this the latest/newest stack?
2) does it also provide AVRCP? and if not, where can i get it.
3) Does it work with the I-mate Jam without any problems (i read that some people had no problems but i also read that some people did.)
Thanks alot guys!

anyone know?

nobody at all?

I never bothered about using BT stero headphones but have been following that thread when it started. I believe what ever is in that thread will answer your question. Why not try to search further? I think there are a few other threads about A2DP.

you need a rom that supports A2DP, i think one of the QTEK test roms has it. It has not been included in any of the release roms yet.

Try this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=42569&highlight=btaudio+zip
It doesn't need the A2DP upgrade (but I think its only mono).
Here is the link for the Qtek Test ROM:

here is the thread for it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=40458

Remember you need to Unlock your Phone's CID you can use aWizard which you can get here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=37386

Use the aWizard tool first... I've been using the Test ROM for awhile with my iTech Blueband. I sometimes experience some drops in the sound but then I don't know if this is due to the Test ROM or the Blueband.
A2DP for G4 CID locked Vario !!!
Hi,
I have been thru a number of threads, but there is no best solution for a Vario G4 CID locked. I want to use stereo headsets (bluetooth).
Anything that works or even suggest roms that enable A2DP.
Plz advise.
If you only want good quality stereo BUT no handsfree, just put in the Axim widcomm stack
I use BTAudio on my MDA with BlueTooth. Here is the site to obtain it from:

Let me know if it works for you.

A2DP + GPS working on XDA II WM5, me...HAPPY!

After trying at least 10 different conbinations of rom/bt stack/patch, finally get bt GPS and A2DP headset to co-exist on my XDA II. I want to thank the brains of this forum...
BTW, Here is the first impression:
1.A2DP functioning well.
2.AVRCP also works!
3.Sound quality is great, no dropping/cut-off.
4.Machine is a bit slower when streaming music.
5.Occational re-bonding of the BT GPS receiver needed, but painless, takes less than a minute.
Still enjoying/testing...
I'm using i-Mate PPCPE (XDA II), Moto HT-820 headset, Belkin(Fortuna?) BT GPS receiver. WM5 ROM 2.01a.32WWE (dl from buzzdev), Radio 1.18.00...
Thanks again guys!
WOW, please tel us how?
Hello cpz21,
I have been searching for a solution for awhile now and keep hitting brick walls.
Could you please tell us the method and sources you used.
I am in need of Bonding my Imate xdaii to my Blueant x5 Headset and from my understanding I need a whole lot of upgrades to do so.
My specs are;
I-mate xdaii
PPC Version 4.20.0
ROM Version 1.66.00WWE
Radio Version 1.10.00
Can this be done?
Thanks

If you only need stereo headset, ROM1.72WWE will be okay, just install widcomm BT stack (http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=11729&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=73), you don't need wm5.
If you have BT GPS as well, you need to upgrade to wm5, everything works; or you can use xda2jojo's WM2003seUpgrade (http://forum.xda-developers.com/vie...days=0&postorder=asc&highlight=2003se&start=0), but you have to switch between MS BT stack and wicomm BT stack to use stereo headset and GPS.
good luck.

A2dp

Hi guys,
I am a bit confused. Does the Jamin support A2DP?
I have the
ruu_JAMin_213923_2139122_022021_noskype_wwe_ship.zip
rom which is a Telstra build for Australia. However I think it is sort of the same as the
JAMin_WWE_213923_2139123_022021_ship.zip
I would like to get a bluetooth headset. I am thinking of getting the
BlueAnt x5
http://www.blueant.com.au/x5_stereo_bluetooth_headset_headphones_a2dp.htm
Anone had experience with it?
Thanks a lot
jamin
The post you're looking for:

The 27 page A2DP thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=263745
I can confirm it works on the latest Australian firmware with an iTech R.35
If you have any questions it would be best to ask them on that thread, as it needs a bump anyway. (It should really be stickied)

BT620s

Good afternoon,
Here I am looking for expert's advice. i just received this morning my new BT620s headset, paired it with my O2 Exec. My problem is that the only thing I can do is handsfree and not stereo headset. i'm quite surprised as I believed the Exec supported the AD2P profile. My Exec is updated to the latest ROM available on O2 website:
1.30.107 WWE, radio 1.09.00.
Can anyone help me ???
Is there any new roms that could add the profile ???
I'm quite desperate right now.
Philippe
The current o2 rom doesn't have A2DP
Search the forums for 'zoki ad2p hack' cab file, install this and do a soft reset and you should have the 'wireless stereo' profile
ROM ?
OK I'll try to find that !
You know I'm really a newby on PDAPhone stuff. I know a lot about PCs and MACs but PDAPhone is just really new.
I'vce been looking around the forum and seen new ROMS with new features but I'm a bit lost. Do you know what ROM I could upgrade my Exec to? I don't need the latest but one that would include A2DP and work 100% correctly.

O2 XDA Mini S and A2DP

Hi All
Found a lot of wonderful stuff here, but still stuck.
Can an O2 XDA Mini S be 'flashed' to support A2DP? I want to
use mine with a set of Motorola S9 Bluetooth stereo headphones
and MP3 player software
I have tried a number of ROMs (TNT 4.0, etc) but it still I only get a
'hands free' check box not a 'bluetooth stereo' or the like box
I have ROM version 2.21.4.1.WWE
Protocal Version 413.1.03
ExtROM Ver 2.21.4.101
Any help for a poor newbie would be great
Thanks in advance.
I use Vanilla by NotTooSmart, and A2DP works fine with this ROM.
If You cant find it on the net, please let me know via PM, and I will upload it somewhere for You.
Hi
Thanks for the reply - I have got a bit further.
It appears my unit may be CID locked, so I have been using batch
tool and pdocwrite and that seems to work.
I have tried Titan V2.0, TNT4.0 and SeeNoEvil all of which give me WM6/
A2DP, however all of them stop my 'Contacts' from working. When I tap
'Contacts', it flashes up and closes again - any ideas? Do I need pocket
outlook installed?
JayDee
Are you saying that if your Wizzard is CID Locket you will not get the A2DP module to work?
I have a G4 and use ShellTolls to flash it.
I am just about to purchase an BT Headset.
Please reply and let me know if there will be any problems.
Cheers,
Slawek
