Cingular 8125. I upgraded to the new Messaging Extreme package they have so I can stop going over my allowed SMS messages. I figure since it's unlimited and includes MMS messages I chould take advantage of it. Problem is that when I go to Messages on my phone, I no longer have an MMS Folder. I think I remember there being one and I think I remember deleting it for some reason way back when. It was like the account labeled *Text Messages. How do I get that account back without a Hard Reset. Is there a way to create it or add it back?
I do still have the MMS Configuration option in the Menu, just no account listed for MMS Messages in the accounts section. If I click on New Account, that is just for E-Mail Addresses. If there is a way to add it as an E-Mail Address, what User Name/Pass/Domain do I use. Hope this is a clear enough explanation. Pics below to kinda clarify.
TIA

I am not sure it will work but you can try this.
Go to http://www.molski.biz/ look under the latest ROM folder and download the MP-Shorcut-MMS1-Voice-CV-TMUS-060404 to "TO INSTALL THE MMS FOLDER ON THE WWE ROMS"
Try This!
I don't know if u have solved the problem, but of not give this a try.
tleader - That worked great. That's just what I was looking for.
imisim - I couldn't find the file you refered to but I see a lot of other tweaks and reg hacks I might have to try. Thanks for the link.
Edit - Found the ROM you mentioned but already got it with tleaders cab.
Thanks guys. This forums is great. I'll contribute as I can.
One more quick question that may be related. Still getting used to the MMS Messages via a PPC but likin 'em. Seems alot more difficult than on my ol Razr. The MMS Notification Icon (I assume that what it is) doesn't seem to want to go away after reading/deleting messages. See below. Is there a setting that I have wrong or is there a tweak to fix this "bug".

Insert contact numbers when composing SMS messages.
I created this simple application because sometimes when i send contact details to other phones using vcard, they cannot seem to receive it. Also, it's very frustrating to copy/paste contact details from the contacts window to the new sms window.
I hope this will help other members too
Download it HERE
great work..i some times have need for it
Hi Oldsap,
I appreciate the work. I actually use this old version from Ondrej at airfagev that was built for WM2003 I believe but works perfectly on WM 6.1. I like it because it adds an option in the main contacts area on the menu bar itself (not a separate application). Here's the description:
This free Contacts Add-On has been inspired by RJV SendContact. Since the SendContact has many drawbacks like you can't use T9 search from list of Contacts, etc., Ondrej has developed this and shared it to airfagev as a freeware.
After installing the app, you should see Send via email/SMS added to your contacts menu. This utility also allows you to select which contact info you want to send like Name, Mobile No., Work No., etc. Thanks to Ondrej.
hey oldsap, thanks muchly for the Insert Contacts app, it's certainly easier than faffing about trying to copy & paste!
gadgetshrink, i've installed the contacts menu app a few times on WM6 Touch but cannot find anyway to activate / use it on the phone...
any help? maybe i'm missing something?

same here. didn't work on my dash
My brother and I both have an Alltel touch, and are experiencing problems with the MMS. It say a 1kb limit is there a registry key I can edit to fix this?
Do you have a data plan?
Man I too have been having problems on my Alltel Touch for quite some time. I've tried just about everything I can, to get either Arcsoft 3 or 5 to work with the latest 20755 from PPCKitchen.org with no luck. I've tried the OEMs in the kitchen and a few cabs I've found around here and there. I dont care which version I have to use, I just want one to work, So please, if you make any progress please let me know in this thread.
I've been up all night and I'm too tired to remember details right now, but I'll post tomorrow and let you know what I've found after dabbling with this for awhile.
What rom and what version/origin of arcsoft are you using?
I don`t think I`m have arcsoft, I`m pretty sure it was removed from my rom due to a secruity hole. The rom is Whodaman`s TF2d ver 1.6. My brother had this problem with stock Alltel roms before I ever used custom ones on his. It said a 1kb limit, at the time when he pointed it out me we were roaming in San Diego, but when we got back it was the same. I tried another rom before the one I`m using now, conflipper`s I believe, and it was supposed to have a registry edit that allowed MMS up a couple Mbs. even with that rom I couldn`t get it to work. Maybe I flash back to stock try it, and if it works I`ll record the registry settings to see if there diffrent, as far as arcsoft goes I dunno too much about that.
Is this what you see?

Sorry earth, but your picture didn`t load for me. It says delivery failed. I found this though http://imobiled.com/how-to-activate-mms-service-in-htc-touch-smartphone/ nut still couldn`t get it going. I really didn`t fully understand how to do it.

Yeah I got that message there, and I also got one saying "message delivery failed".
I have been having issues with the Phantom Voicemail issue on all the Cyanogen Mod roms.
I have tried changing the voicemail phone number through the My Carrier options, that did nothing. Tried clearing out the Dialer Storage, that did nothing.
I have spent roughly 3 hours trying to find a fix. Does anyone know of anything?
I use Google Voice, so the dual notification icons get annoying, not to mention the fact that this one doesn't disappear, and reappears if I reboot my phone, or go in and out of service.
If there is a file that I can remove to have it stop, and allow me to just use Google Voice, that would work great too, as of now, I just want the darn thing gone.
You have to download an app and black list it. There's a post around here somewhere. I'm on my phone so I can't find it. But look for Sprint's VVM. There's a link to the app in the OP.

The two apps I can think of are RedList, and SPC (Super Private Conversation). SPC is the bigger of the two apps (I think around 2-3mb?), but I don't think the free version of RedList lets you disable the notification icon (I could be wrong? Someone feel free to correct me).
Is there anything other then an application that can block the notification message?
Removing a file or changing a file perhaps?
No clue, though I'd wager it has to be done on the code level.
I don't think I've ever actually ran into this bug. I gather it notifies you of voicemails despite not actually having any? Odd.
It looks like this, with my phone number edited out.

No matter what the time it is, this was on first boot up. Then it "notified me" again, at 11:17 PM.
It's a known bug on Cyanogenmod...

Hello I'm Erkan from Turkey.
This is my first message on forum. I've tried postin on Sabsa ROM page but because it's my very first message i couldn't..
I've a HTC MyTouch 4g which i brought from USA and use it for 3 years. Since last month I started rooting and installing different roms with help of this website.
Yesterday I installed Sabsa Prime ROM v.15 and loved it because it seems fast and stable. I want to use this rom for long term but i've a major problem with it. There is not a SMS menu, sms option or something like that. I don't mean that "sms is not working".. There is no button or option to send sms in this rom. Probably i did something wrong on install progress but don't know what!
I'm pasting the link of Sabsa Prime v.15 ROM link below. If you look the sample screen pics you'll see "message button" between "apps button" and "cam button". In my phone there's not such a button.. So i can't send sms and besides can't receive sms from my contacts.
I need yor help.
Sorry for my english. I hope you'll understand what i meant.
Thanks.

No message option? Like you cannot find the send button to send a message.
And your English good, no need to worry about that
Sent from my HTC Glacier using xda app-developers app
Wrong link. Sorry.
Here is the right one.

My home screen does not include an sms button. There is just hole where an sms button should be
There isn't a button or menu inside the menus for sending sms either. Also i figured out now there isn't any "gallery" button in home screen or in menus.. I take pics but can not view them. It's getting weird about this rom every hour
Any idea? Any suggestion?
My home screen looks like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I found a solution for my problem.
Downloaded 2 apps from google play.
"Handcent sms" as sms sender. (It worked. Now i can both send and receive sms)
"Gallery ICS" as viewing my pics. (It works as well)
So I updated to CM12 and really like it, aside from the fact that I can no longer connect to mobile data (sometimes it will get 1x for a few seconds). I looked around online a bit and sure enough it looks like my APN settings must have been changed. The problem is that I cannot find where to edit/add APN settings. I tried the usual settings>mobile networks>more> etc etc... I tried different dialer codes like the usual ##3282# but the dialer wouldn't open the data menu. So, does anyone know of how to get to APN on a Spring GS4 running CM12? I know there are threads on this already but they all suggested things I have already tried. I even tried using an APN editor app to no avail. Any help is very much appreciated, I really like CM12, plus I lost my daily driver backup (rookie mistake), so I would really like this to work

From what I've seen most people use flashable for their APNs. Dialer codes only work on Touchwiz.
