Purchasing unlocked XDA's in Uk (London)

Anybody,
Could someone let me know where i can buy an unlocked XDA from here in London. Also, can an XDA be used with any GPRS network? provided you have the correct software installed.

i have recently (last month) bought 2 unlocked pdas from totalpda. the service etc is very good but be aware that the items are not new. they are refurbished models. my ones are fine, although you can tell they have been used. also you dont get the handsfree kit or the cd-rom that normally comes with it.
if you do get one from them, DO NOT do the OS upgrade suggested by o2 as this will greatly interfere with any other service providers settings. which is the problem i have now!

gto mine from there about 3 weeks ago, £225 (32meg).
i think that the units are new, but come with charge cables instead of cradles.
get the impression that they have them in stock on a time to time basis.
worth a try though.

thank you, i called Preston Telecom (i think) they were very helpful, but as you said their stock has been deplenished. again they are not new but from the descrition they may as well be. thanks again for the advice.

I bought mine from ebay UK from a guy who has contract with upgrade with O2 but doesn't need the phone and it was new. I had to use the xda manipulator to unlock the phone for use with vodaphone which I am using. There are quite a few guys selling new xda sets for about £200 for the 32m version and £300 for the 64 mb version. I got mine for £290(in April 03) but it should be worth less now (maybe £250 to £300). You do not need to pay exorbitant price for a new one and you got to make sure the guy selling the phone is not a cheat. So far all my purchases with ebay UK is quite safe and you could use a escrow service (intermediate service for a small fee which holds your money until the goods is delivered in good order before paying the seller) for added precaution. There is also a company in ebay UK selling the new 64mb xda for £149 (previously £199 only 3/4weeks ago) with a contract with O2.

thanks for the advice i am familiar with ebay, its an ok market place, but tend to be secondhand. i think i am going to go for the option buying a new one with O2 and unlocking it myself, thanks anyway.

XDA Exec for Sale (Universal)

Hey folks,
I have a universal for sale - its an 02 model so its unlocked to any network (been using my t-mobile chip in it recently). Ive been given a blackberry for work so i cant carry my universal around too.
It comes in the 02 box with the manuals etc along with the headset and a 256mb (lexar) SD card.
Its been kept in a black silicone case so its in excellent condition.
Im looking for £250+postage, i will post worldwide - but payment must clear first. I'd much rather sell on here than on eBay!

Selling my G3 Wizard

Hi all
I am Selling my G3 wizard and thought I would offer it up on the xda-dev forums first:
it is a G3 T-Mobile MDA Vario I handset, UK version.
NOT A SINGLE THING WRONG WITH IT. it has been running TNT versions of WM6 most of its life, prior to which it was running Faria's rom.
it is Fully boxed with everything, including two Spare stylus (so you get three stylus' in total)
I am in the UK so preferably only UK buyers
I am looking for around 90-95 GBP as they're going for just more than that on ebay
let me know if theres anyone interested, preferably via PM
only issue with it is that the grey paint on the sides has almost all worn off, otherwise, has had a screen protector on it from new and its its in fantastic condition!
may also include a 2gb MINI SD card if the buyer so wishes.

XDA EXEC Screen Needed!

As above dropped it and made bits of the screen would anybody have one available and how much?

I have a orange spv 5000, identical device as xda exec just different branding. so I believe you can tear open the screen and use it. Everything is fully functioning about this phone except the microphone for this phone is dead.
so you could buy this phone as a PDA or tear out whatever parts you needed.
I'm asking for 120$ or best offer

A couple of Ebay sellers have them for around $120 - $130 (US) I remember a board member getting one in Europe for around $70 -$80 (US). Search the forum for details

I have a full unit ( o2 black/ grey casing) - screen in prefect condition
2 batteries ( one new non o2 though) + all the original bits
But it won't boot past first screen - either a power or boot issue
( hence I know screen is ok )
