Search the forum. It has been discussed plenty.
The Extended ROM is a special part of the ROM, that is used of the providers to add their own and additonal files, that have to be installed on the first use of this device. It only have Programs and Reg-Settings in it. Afetr the installtion of this programs, the Memory Part of the extended ROM is useless for the device. You can't access the extended ROM and you can not save data on this memory....
Therefore the bigStorage hack is used to free this memory-part.

So... I'm Italian and I buoght my Jam with std Italian ROM.
I like to have Engl leanguage on all my devices so I hack the Country ID and I installed the WWE ROM.
It works fine but I lost some of Italian configuration and some applications (e.g. eTrust antivirus)...
I think that these applications are contained on Italian Extended ROM... is it right?
If is it right... can I install the Italian extended ROM in the WWE ROM?
Or... can I extract the eTRust antivirus and install it on my WWE ROM?
Yes, you should be able to install the programs of the italian extended ROM on the WWE ROM. Since most of the tools are os independet it should be no big problem.
The QtekS100_ITA_1.03.151 ExtRom is on the FTP. If your version was newer or anything else, than you have to get the files by yourself.....

Just download the latest shiped rom you find, and dump it with visual kitchen.
Then you can edit your and change OEM/XIP/SYS/EXT.

first of all thanx my dear friend for the guidance.so if i had visual kitchen for gene and if i dump shipped rom from elfin then ihave had elfin kitchen na!am i right...

After dumping an original Rom you have a base kitchen which you can modify step per step.
Download new Base drivers and replace the old.
Replace XIP/SYS with current one (be careful at the moment no native elfin kernel is available so do not set Real WM6.5 AKU)

after downloading vk from the link u have given and dumping again my rom when i click to select my device while cooking it says me

After Dumping an original *.nbh file save the configuration.
That are the right settings for reflashing your Elfin.
I'm not sure if the OS id. effects your rom, but Chunk Size for elf(in) must set to 1024 (acording to nbhutility).
I do not have my Elfin anymore, so I cant test different settings.
At first download a cooked rom and flash it to get a working device. Or download the latest shiped rom from your provider. Than start dumping ant flashing again to see if the error is still there.
i done using shipped rom....chunk size is ok but now i m stucked at smart mobility.this is also happen with bepes kitchen.
one more thing if i flash shipped rom anything will be wrong?will it brick my device?

I use clean WM and WM 6.5.2 is cleaner then WM 6.5.3 in ROM from SE.

For THAT you will need for hard-spl..
Of course if someone hacks SEUS to retrieve old images from the updateservice, then i gues you could downgrade..
Downgrade works
It did work for me. I installed the UK MR2 (waiting for the Spanish version) and later downgraded to MR1.

How did you manage to downgrade to MR1? What i understand from SEUS, it always get's the latest version available.. But, if you hack the cab i created (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=684323), and create a cab for a language that does not have the upgrade, then that will naturally install the "latest" version (in this case MR1).
But then you have a Spanish version of your phone..
This is just a theory, But if Spain are still waiting for MR2 would it not be possile to use the cabs that hertell has created to set the version you are using and to then upgrade to MR1 Spain BUT install the cabs from MR2 by exiting the customization screen??
Would this not install WinMo 6.5.2 without needing HardSPL

Yes, this would install the spanish version, but then you will have a spanish windows laying under whatever system you have.
BUT.. I noticed that ALL rom-cabs (except about 5 cabs) are the same, so the cabs check from somewhere which language your phone runs, and display from this the proper language.
So, we might have here again a possible way of fooling the installed cabs (applications) to display a different language than the underlying phone in real is running...
Hi, what I did was download the MR1 ROM (any language willddo), extract all the cabs, clear phone mem and just after the screen allignment pres hard reset. After restart it will ask if you want to continiou customization, press NO.
Copy the extracted cabs from the MR1 ROM to your memory card and install every one of them. Some will ask to reboot...press NO.
Agter all the cabs have been installed restart your device, shut down, press volume down and start button, connect to SEUS and tataaaa...your back at MR1 windos 6.5.2.

Yes, but which language did you refer to? SEUS updates automatically to the latest rom for that particular language you installed..

All cabs in all languages are exactly the same. It's just about 5 cabs that differ...

Hello ! I need your help with changing rom in my qtek s110. I bought that device two days ago, it have french rom and I want to change it for english one. I want to ask you with what should I start ? It will be the very first rom change, so I don't know if I should do something before running instalation of the new rom, or just start it without checking anything or instaling other programs before the rom ? If you want a stock rom, get one here (USA or WWE = english):

Extract the *.exe with Winrar and replace the Romupgrade.exe with MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe, execute it, and follow the instructions.
Or get one of Cotullas ROMs (Follow the instruchtions mentioned in the thread). It's a little bit buggy and the camera may not work (depends on version you chose) but it's WM6/6.5
Personally I believe that you should start with Cotulla's WWE 03. That will give you a stable WM6.1 and the instructions are in the post, and also cotulla's homepage.
It also has camera if you needed it for anything. From there you can decide whether you want to goto newer versions or if you are happy with 03.
Hi Everybody
I wanted to put my phone on Finnish so i installed the official rom from the HTC website. Before i had an English Custom rom installed. I tried the installation now 3 times but the complete rom and sense interface stays completly in english. The device information in the settings says under rom version: 1.56.414.0 (43972) WWE i guess the WWE is what you dont really want to see if its supposed to be a FIN rom.
I had downloaded this file what i think isnt the problem: _HTC Touch HD_MR_2009_RUU_BlackStone_HTC_FIN_1.56.414.0_Radio_52.62.25.34_1.13.25.24_Ship.exe
The installation runs smooth without any errors. I installed from my windows machiene thru active sync
Can anybody help me or give me a hint what is going wrong here ?
