A2DP Add-On for HTC Wizard - 8125, K-JAM, P4300, MDA Vario General

Hi Guys,
I was wondering if there was a way to add A2DP to my existing ROM. That is, I don't want to re-flash, is there a quick way to add A2DP support?
ROM Version: 2.25.11.1. WWE

Try cross flashing to another ROM? As my T-Mobile MDA on the 2.26 ROM has A2DP support. You can also google adding A2DP support to WM5 and will get a good tutorial. I did that on an HTC Apache without A2DP support and it added it so i'm sure it would work on the Wizard as well, though cross flashing a ROM might be easier.

Himalya WM5

Hey guys,
Newbie here
I have a himalya(XDAII)
Rom Vers. 1.66.00 WWE
Radio 1.10.00
I want 2 know whether i should upgrade to WM5 or not
I mean is it really worth it or not
Can any one help and guide me step by step
[/b]
...
Yes you can. Read on http://buzzdev.net more about. But the upgrade to WM5 is quiet difficult to a newbie. Read carefuly about DOC_Tools,RAMdisk,Memory organisation etc. While in 2003(se)ROM image is everything already prepared,in WM5 you need to install some features additionaly. I am ready to help you with upgrade. Just ask.
I'm about to do the same thing. I have two units to try it on. One is 1.66wwe, 1.10 radio and the other 1.72wwe and 1.14 radio. Should I use one of these units for WM2005 over the other or does it matter?
...
You can use the Radio stack with WM5. But if you've got a Wallaby device(is in your profile Rustyrake),that is no WM5 ROM released. 1.66wwe and 1.72wwe are WM2003 ROMs. The latest ROM release of WM5 is 1.60c(and its RAMdisk variations). Most recommended radio for this ROM is 1.08.
I need to warn of few problems in this upgrade:
1. Activesync must be at least v4.0 and for USB connection is needed SP2(for XP).
2. I have still problems with radio and phone. (But other people didn't complain).
3. The speed of this system is a little bit lower than 2003(se).
4. Some of the software must be in latest version for WM5 support.
5. IA Camera interface is a history(pity). It is available only built-in Microsoft camera interface without any adjustments and functions.
6.

BT Stereo on 8125, I know it's overdone!

Well, at this point, the whole stereo over BT is just about to drive me crazy. Everywhere I have looked for information I have run into dead ends. I am interested in listening to my MP3's and Movies on a Bluetooth headset. From what I have read here and elsewhere, this was not original capabilities of WM5. At some point in time an official ROM update was released by Cingular titled MSFP or AKU2 or something that was supposed to include the A2DP software to stream stereo over BT.
Here is where I get real fuzzy. Do I already have the ROM that has A2DP functionality?
From my device:
ROM version: 2.25.11.1 WWE
ROM date: 5/11/06
Radio version: 02.25.11
Protocol version: 4.1.13.12
ExtROM version: 2.25.11.102
Did the AKU2 update include the A2DP software? If so where can I download said ROM? I have find numerous links to this ROM all over the web that are supposed to link to the update but end in a 404 on HTC's website. The ROM was supposed to be released around 6/19/06 has it just up and disappeared?
Lastly, if my current ROM does not have A2DP and the Cingular update ROM does not have it, do I have to unlock my phone to install one of the custom ROM's found here on the site that does include A2DP?
I have searched this forum up and down and can't find many posts on the subject after June. Sorry if I am an idiot and missed some glaringly simple answer.
AKU 2.3 Roms have A2DP functionality included (T-Mo 2.24 & 2.26) or you can fid the A2DP Cab file and install it on your current Rom.
I think this thread has what you need.
Thanks for the replies guys. It kind of seems that these two messages conflict though. Kyphur suggests the upgrade to AKU 2.3 or using the A2DP cab to install. Blue Streak's link is to a thread that makes it seem that everything that I need is installed and I just need a program to redirect audio to the bluetooth. Which is correct?
A2DP on Cingular 8125
I have a Cingular 8125 with official ROM 2.25. I follow the steps of thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=48502 on page 7 of zaitsman posting and install Tornado_A2DP.zip and my A2DP is working perfect with a pair of logitech stereo headset.

Please help ... a2DP on O2 Exec

hi all
I am totally new to all these ROM modifications.
I have just bought a SE HBH 970 and I have the O2 Exec.
I just realised that I am not able to stream music to my BT set on the current O2 ROM.
Went through the website and found that there is actually a way to enable A2DP on exec. Can someone very kindly explain to me how this can be done step by step?
I am quite lost. ... after searching thru web. ....
What do I need to download...
how do i do that etc etc.........
thanks
Jacky
What ROM are you currently running?
Thanks for the prompt response, Dave!
My device info:
ROM Version: 1.30.107 WWE
ROM Date: 04/11/06
Radio version : 1.09.00
Protocol Version : 42.42.P8
Ext ROM Version : 1.30.162WWE
Weird, I thought these ROMs were indeed A2DP-compliant...
Have you tried, once you've paired the HBH, to manually set the stereo profile for your hbh in the Bluetooth management applet ?
By long-tapping on the Sony Ericsson HBH 970 item in the Bluetooth device list, a menu pops up and there should be something that looks like "Stereo headset" or something like that.
do a search for a 'zoki a2dp' cab file, install it and youll have a2dp on your exec
The latest O2 ROM does not contain A2DP, shame to you, O2. What you can try is, flash your ROM with other provider like Qtek, i-mate and etc that are already enable A2DP on their ROM.
Alternative solution is to download Zoki A2DP, may help but I don't know about the result ( as I never try it before )
One experience though, I flashed my O2 exec with Qtek latest ROM, it does pick up the stereo Bluetooth Headset but I've got huge lag when playing music. Sometimes I managed to get it through but most of the time, it does not happily play my music. even I already applied A2DP patch, tried with several ROMs , disable all wireless signals, still got the same result.
Maybe it is just my case, Give it a try, good experience anyways
What's your radio ROM version ?

I want A2DP support but....

Guys, I have read thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=263745 which provides great info on how to enable stereo Bluetooth support and therefore A2DP but I still have a novice question which I am sure can be answered easily.
Step 1 says: 'The ROM should be updated as latest AKU2 ROM'
Well, my Orange SPV M600 (S200, 818Pro etc) has build OS 5.1.195 (Build 14847.2.0.0) which I assume means AKU 2.0 so, am I meeting the requirement of step 1?
Secondly, if I need to upgrade, what do I upgrade to?
Other info which may help.
Rom version 2.10.1.22 WWE (date 2/16/2006)
Radio version 02.07.20
I need to be careful with what I do here as my M600 is used at work and has company specific software loaded to enable push email and associated security wrappers.
Thanks.
Jonathan
Help please.
Guys, perhaps I can put my request another way.
I have the following spec and want to enable A2DP but I am not sure what I need to upgrade.
OS 5.1.195 (Build 14847.2.0.0)
Rom 2.10.1.22 WWE
Radio Rom 02.07.20
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.
you can simply download the file uploaded by Khuanchai in the thread u have given ,...
it is wokring for me succesfully and i also use my mobile for business purpose.
sure it works for any version of prophet...
Thanks for the reply but I have already downloaded the files and updated the registry entries but it made no difference.
I thought that I needed to have a later RadioRom to enable Bluetooth stereo support and A2DP but I don't want to try it unnecessarily as it means removing my works installation because Active sync over USB is disabled. I don't know another way of upgrading the RadioRom without Active sync.
Cheers.
