Is there a way/program/some other fancy trick to type and send SMS's thru TyTN by just using your computer while TyTN is connected via ActiveSync?
You can try this application from Microsoft. I haven't tried it myself, but it's free.

I tried that but it doesn't recognize TyTN, only internal modem.
take a look at Jeyo mobile. it does this thru ms outlook.
Excellent. That Jeyo works like a charm. Thank you very many =)

Hi,
I am a newbie to this site. I spend alot of my days at my computer and recieve many SMS's throughout the day. It is a bit awkward to have to write the SMS messages with my XDA sitting in its cradle. Is there some sort of cool app where I can write the SMS on my latptop and have the XDA sync and send automatically. I searched the net and found a program called SMS2MAIL but it does not really automate the process, anything else out there?
Thanks,
Danny

Try Jeyo Mobile Companion
As far as I know the closest thing to what you want is Jeyo Mobile Companion. Follow this link for a review: While I haven't tried it myself the initial comments look good.
Software Not Ready Yet
Hey,
Thanks for the suggestion and purchased and tried the software and it would not work on my laptopn and hung my XDA. It is still in Beta stage for sure and their support team has not resolved the issue. Saw other posts on their website from others experiencing the same problem.
In theory, if they could get it working, this is the application I am looking for, I'll keep you posted,
Danny
MTUX Remote, u could write sms from your laptop & send thru your XDA.
Summary: View& Control your PPC on your desktop.
View your Pocket PC from your desktop and Control it by using keyboard and mouse.
Hope this help.
MTUX Remote Works good
Thanks,
This App works like a charm, there is a delay between the device and the laptop but i can totally live with that.
Thanks for the suggestion,
Danny
Another Jeyo...
Hi!
I have used Jeyo Mobile Extender for Outlook
https://developer.handango.com/Plat...Type=2&catalog=0§ionId=0&productId=121875
It installed and worked fine for a few days... than I could not open Outlook anymore (that was very annoying) and I disinstalled it...
Since I really liked the application I would try again... if anyone knows why it might not work or stop working... help!

Where can we get this MTUX Remote?
:?: How could we have the MTUX Software, i really need it, please help.
I tried the MTUX Remote, it is only for sending sms from desktop? Anybody know how to synchronize sms data (to keep & to save important message) from XDA II to desktop? Any software for this?
jeyo has a long way to go yet I believe.
-1.0.1 only sync for inbox no sync for sent, drafts etc.
-major problem with restoring the backup. it disabled sms functionality!
Could you explain more detail about "disabled sms functionality"? After restoring back up it disabled the sms function?
I mean that when accessing the Inbox you did not have the SMS option. You could not send or receive messages. If you go to Accounts there was no option for enabling the SMS.
Ok, tu finikas; i will try then. so the one things i should avoid is not to restrore the back up. Anyway, how do you handle this problem?
i had to rebuild i-mate as it was new!
Have you tried the Jeyo Mobile Extender for Outlook? is this the same product? I just download & try the Jeyo Mobile Companion, the problem is when the Active Sycn is disconnect the sms were gone too. How to copy or import the sms from the mobile/XDA to the pc?
hi to all, i've a great problem.. i've about 500 sms stored in my old S100, now i've bought my new Tytn with wm5 but i can't export/import my old SMS...

someone in other post as said that doesn't work on wm5 devices..
it's true?
nope thats wrong.
I have used it for 6 months. The only hassel i had is after i installed my pc and outlook every time again i got a different hardware ID. So i used to write to Jeoy everytime i reinstalled my system to get my valid copy to work.
Sometimes the addon hangs and crashes Outlook but this are minor bugs. Nice tool so far, i have missed it to backup up my last sms. Oh and you can send sms out of the pc if the PDA is connected via active sync.
I recommend that tool.
Regards,
Falk
Fantastic!
it works! many many many thx
Also works with some "cosmetic error messages":
AIM production's SMS Cool

Hi,
I am new here......
I wanna back up the text messages that my wife sent to me...
How can I transfer it to my pc ??
thanks guys !!
Hi,which prophet ? Do you want to backup sms or others messages ?
Jeyo Mobile Companion or Jeyo Mobile Extender.
SMS Exporter enables you to save messages in text or csv format.
I use Jeyo Mobile Companion and it works flawlessly.
Is there a link to SMS Exporter?
Btw, Jeyo exports to Text files as well as its own database files, through which you can import/export messages...which basically means you can restore all your messages if ever you lose them (as opposed to text files through which you can't).

never got jeyo to work with my outlook 2002 it always says "not connected" even if the phone is synced with the pc.
Jeyo Mobile Companion doesn't need Outlook to sync!
Jeyo's other product does. Mobile companion is a standalone application which does the job very beautifully. Give it a try.
would you give us a link for jeyo? :?
thanks for clearing this up. i'm using the wrong application  i now have it installed in my laptop... and it's good!
anyway, i got the app by googling jeyo mobile companion, while there's a keygen somewhere in this forum. try searching for it.
Here it is:

In fact, Jeyo is so good...earlier I was using an MS Smartphone device (the O2 XPhone II). When I migrated from that to my prophet, all I did was backup my messages from that phone, then connect my prophet (it instantly worked with Jeyo) and import the backup.
Done!
does SE Suite and xperia support sms sending and other stuffs like in Nokia PC suite? (calenders, contacts notes, emails, calls, etc...)
Maybe you could recommend a good software?
There is no SE suite that works with Xperia since this is a Windows Mobile device, you use Microsoft ActiveSync to sync address book, calendar etc.
But there are software that can do what you ask for, just Google it!
If I everything understand you try to find program for SMS-sending from PC?
Just try to use Jeyo Mobile Extender, its program for sending SMS from Outlook (PC edition) when PDA connected with ActiveSync.

You can try this:
Jeyo Mobile Extender
This program is something like addon for Outlook and when you connect your device to your PC, it look to your SMS and Save them to your Outlook.
You can send SMS from your PC via your device by this program too...
Its not free, but doing a good job...
