8525 not hanging up - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Every few phone calls on my 8525, I notice that when I am done, and hit the end button (on screen, soft key or red phone button) the phone will not hang up...even after the other person has already hung up. I can keep hitting the buttons, but nothing registers. Everything else on the phone still works just fine, I can exit the dial pad, and get into any other menu, and the phone icon is still showing by the signal strength indicating a call is still in progress.
Anyone else experience this at all? Any suggestions?

I sometimes get the same thing, but I have no solution aside from the little "in-and-out" routine with the stylus and the reset hole.

Same problem here as well. Sometimes the call will go for 20 - 30 seconds after the other person has hung up.
Maybe it is cingulars way of getting us to use more minutes!!

same for me too...I figured out that my Cingular 8525 only does this when I am out of a 3g area. Every time that my phone displays the G icon and I'm on the phone it won't hang up for another 30 sec. after my conversation has ended...it is annoying...

My TyTn goes on HOLD at Random

During a phone call, it appears at random, my TyTn will put a caller on hold. I can take them off hold. Sometimes it will happen once. Sometimes it will put them on hold and off hold and keep alternating between the two. The only way to make it stop is to end the call and reset the device.
Anyone have this problem. I searched the forum and could not find anything.
TIA

incoming call pickup delay

when a call comes in, i either push answer on the screen or hit the green button. however, it takes a few seconds before the my phone actually picks up the call. has anyone else run into this problem?
i just tried calling myself and the phone just keeps ringing the extra ~3 seconds before the phone picks up.
Here's an article on how to fix that, but it involves a registry editor and adjusting a setting
http://www.wmexperts.com/wm-cdma-phones-have-delay-when-answering-call-data-connection-read
I actually have this problem but the registry fix isn't what's wrong ...is there any other ideas?
i'm pretty sure it has to do with WM - I have a coworker with the Mogul and he says he has the same delay that i have both with answering calls and hanging up calls.

It is not a fix per say for what you wnat but it will make your phone ring soner.
Get into your msl settings by pressing ##778# on stock rom (you will need your unlock code) and then click on edit, then click your left soft key (should be view info) then go to modem settings and change the slot cycle index to 1. What this will do is make your cell phone check the tower for incomming calls every 1-2 seconds instead of every 5-7 seconds.

I agree that this works. It helped my pickups be a little quicker and more consistent. If you don't know your unlock code, google for an app called "getspc"

Phone locks "on call" - phone app crash

Hi,
I faced this problem too often, so I ask on this forum to know if it only happens to me:
when I end the call, telephone programs stucks. In the top bar, the indication of an on going call is still there. Everything is working except telephone application. I can't open the telephone options. Even if I turn on Airplane mode, the phone logo in the top bar remains.
Any idea?
I had that problem once. Did it occur when you dialed a number not in your phone book? It turned out the prompt for saving a new dialed number was still there but I somehow couldn't access it. Perhaps turn that setting off?
no, it was an outgoing call to someone in my phonebook. (at least in my last problem)
facing the same problem. after ending a call the phone app freeze a couple of minutes and sometimes more than ten minutes
Did you installed the HTC patch to avoid the freeze ?
I didn't.
Could it be usefull there ?
This is really annoying if you have to wait 10mn before doing an another call !
Problem happened again
The problem happened again yesterday.
But worse. I was leaving a message on an answering machine. and I couldn't end the call !
Pressing the right key (end call) had no effect !
Usually in my previous problems, the other user was ending the call.
So I had to switch off the phone in comm manager !
I'm surprised that no one else faced this problem !
I tried to follow one's advice to wait then until phone gets back to normal. (release the phone icon in the top bar).
After one hour, I finaly rebooted the phone to be able to do an outgoing call.
Help !
Phone blocks during or after a call
Hello guys and girls
I had the same problem last week, a couple of times in a row, I was on the phone with a contact, after a couple of minutes I couldn't hear anything anymore and tried to end the call but no joy, a soft reset did the thing the first time, the second I waited a couple of minutes wich worked aswell. It was very annoying I must say especially as it happened 4 times in a row...
Hoping for a solution

It seems a bug. You can press volume up/down buttons on the device itself to open the volume bar screen. After that just press somewhere on the grey area to go back to home screen. The top bar will restore from the phone application.
It's not the top bar. The phone application is completely unavailable.
We see the top bar,but the phone icon is stuck. Like if we were still on call.
I too have a similar problem.
Although I haven't particularly logged the prolems, I think that it only happens on incoming calls, and not outgoing ones.
During a phone call, the incoming sound just goes mute, and afterwards I can't hang up the call.
I reckon I have lost well over half the calls I have received because of this.
Luckily, not many people call me!!
I reckon this is a CRAP phone, and am seriously thinking of getting a REAL phone, and just using the HD as a PDA device. Good old HTC!!!!!!
I edited the title of this topic.
The phone app is really stucked : I called an answering machine, I wasn't able to end the call !
Help !
I am thinking of changing ROM.

G1 hanging up before i can answer

I tried good searching this and searching it here and it didnt come up.
This is a bizarre issue that has been intermittent for a while but has been very persistent over the last few weeks.
It seems that every time my phone rings and i take it out of my pocket to answer it hangs up on the call and doesn't even put a 'miss call' notification in the status bar. I am sure im not pressing the end call button before anyone asks!
Then if i try to dial back immediately it wont call - it goes to the call screen and then immediately goes red and says 'call ended'
I'm using root and jeasusfreak cupcake
I have the same problem
Do you have grooveshark appl too ?

phone is freezing up and losing signal

The phone powers on fine. Once it sits for a few minutes it goes to sleep and wont come out. No matter what I do. When I send text or try and call my phone from another phone it just goes to voicemail. Then twenty or thirty minutes later it will show up. Service is in and out and when I dial out it doesnt ever ring. WHile trying to text it just says text cannot be sent. I have the hermes 200 vodaphone v1605 and I am using t mobile service. IS this something to do with the network? It just works when it wants to!!
also after charging it just stays lit up! DOenst respond to any button strokes. WHen I try and make a call it just gives me a weird symbol whre my signal strength should be
