Internet Sharing With USB Slow?

Greetings,
I thought I would check out the Internet Sharing feature of my new AT&T 8525, and it works effortlessly, but it is quite slow. Is there a way to speed things up? If not, would a Bluetooth connection be faster (I would have to use a USB Bluetooth dongle)?
I have looked around quite a bit on these forums and noticed a couple people mention the speed issue, but could not find a solution.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

I find the results to be different. I am in the Dallas area and get very nice 3G speeds while tethered. It fluctuates a bit but averages around 700k down and 280k up. I have seen as high as 1190k down but it isn't stable while on the move. Just because I am always looking for a boost, I searched and found a post in the forums for 3gnetopt.exe from HTC - I don't know if it helped much, but it seemed to burst faster.

problem with WIFI on TYTN

hello Everyone, i'm new around here, but still i've got to benefit from all the information and knoledge poured on these pages for upgrading my TYTN to WM 6 (Schaps 3.54b) as well as adding the Hard-spl and upgrading the radio to 1.41
so, let's start from the begining. before doing the upgrade i was already having the problem with the WIFI, and that is that one day, it started searching for networks, but never found any, not even if i was 20 cm close to the Access Point. the problem persisted until i upgraded it to WM6, which was 2 days ago, and then miraculously it started working again, and detected my home's wireless network. but yesterday it begun to have the same problem again, searches for networks, but never finds any....
i really don't know what to do now... has nayone else had the same or a similar problem and found out a way to solve it? or does anyone know what might be causing the problem so that i can fix it?
thank you very much in advance for all the help that i'm sure you will all provide.
the problem has been solved, sorry to everyone if i made you loose some time reading this thread.
the thing is that i didn't look at all the options on the connectivity tab, and on schap's rom, there are 2 wifi icons, one for the settings, and another one to manage the networks, i didn't see this last one, but now after studying all the options, i've managed to set it up correctly and all is working fine now.
again, thank you very much, and sorry if i made you waste your time
to any mods out there who might be reading this, you can delete this topic.
thank you.

Internet Issues

After flashing ookba's 6.5 onto my Dash 3G, I can no longer connect to the internet. Previously had 3G working on the stock WM6.1. Are there any workarounds for this? Tried searching and couldn't come up with anything. There were a lot of posts from other people complaining about lack of internet after the flashing, but no solid answers that I could find. Thanks in advance to anyone that helps me out.
edit: to expand upon this, it seems like it worked for a moment when this first started, because the AccuWeather accurately located me and downloaded a weather report, but now even that is reading "No Internet?!" and I can't fix it. I'm asking about the 3G Internet, because WiFi works fine, but I want to be using the 3G so I can get it anywhere.
run
have u ran the connection wizard?

Any news on Hermes/tytn phone locking?

Hi all,
I've been having the same problem a lot of other users got over time, phone freezing.
Altough it keeps showing that it is connected to the network I can't receive calls, text, whatever...
The "funny" thing is it only started after my phone recently came from repair (loudspeaker wouldn't work) since it never had done that (I have it for 2 years). Thought it was an HW problem until I read all xda members complaints on the same subject.
All threads I read about this are 1 or 2 years old so I'm just checking to see if someone found the miracle cure for this. I read a lot of threads and none refered a final solution for this.
Thanks a lot guys.
Pete
PS-Tried activesync fake server and all other "hacks"

Lets work on this LTE sitch

I have noticed many complaints on LTE being removed by the new 4.2.2 radio. I am looking for some people to help me get around this. I will be trying various methods. Let me know if you have any helpful info thanks!
I believe the easiest fix is to just downgrade to the .33 radio. At least that is what is being reported in all the other threads on this.
