Try Ebay (jasjar flex cable) you can found it at about 100USD + Shippment
Otherwise you can try to search a China web site but often they can't accept orderd less than 500USD ...
Another option... is to Try to gsmforum . There are some indian people that can sell you this object...BUT without website... and any kind of warranty .
Bye

Soldering??
I have a question for you all.
As my uni currently stands it has a pice of folded paper covering the coax conections under the battery to hold them down.
Now as this is all running sweet with only the odd crash in the past month or so.
Do I pull it all aprt and solder the connections in place? Or do I just leave the paper and keep things as they are.
I am off work all next week so I was looking to solder then.
Gingerchristopher

I'd keep the folded paper as long as it works.

torx screwdriver

guys wanteds to make the mod to the cradle to use power from the USB but cant seem to find the trox screwdriver/bit here in the US , (tried homedepot) was wondering if someone knows a place i can get one also what size am i looking for i manafed to get the T-9 from HD but was too big and they dont carry any smaller ones???
You need a T6 bit. Try www.ebay.com. You should be able to pick one up for a couple of dollars. Look at:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3074142266&category=3311
Watch out for the $6 postage though!!! You should be able to find a similar one on there for a bit cheaper.

torx-6
You just checked Homedepot only? 8) I did check Home Depot, Lowe, Radio Shack, Best Buy, CC, no luck! Finally, Sears Hardware has it. But right there I found that Flat Head 1/16 did the same thing with Torx 6

What's a good windsheild mount holder for the Kaiser?

I bought a windsheild mount PDA holder from ebay a while back and it worked okay but it was cheaply made and it wound up breaking. The phone fell right out of it one day and hit the shifter. I am lucky the screen didnt break.
Anyway, I am looking for a new one and I would like one that can rotate so I can use it in landscape orientation as well, or even with the keyboard expanded. Does such a beast exist?
I would like to see what recomendations you guys have on this. I have searched online at cell accessory shops and there's alot to choose from but many look like the cheaply made one I am trying to replace.
I bought mine from one of those "we sell everything for your phone!" stalls in a market.
Has adjustable width (spring-loaded with cushioned side bits for grip), the arm can bend anywhere you like, and the windscreen mount is a suction cup with a kinda plastic 'lock' (like on a tomtom) to hold it securely.
Hasn't budged since I bought it several months ago for another handset.
Try a market stall, that's my advice. Paid about a tenner (gbp).
In fact... just found a link to the exact same thing. fiver. bargain

Cool, found a few of them for sale from merchants in the States. Thanks for the info!
Got mine at Best Buys.

I've have this one, from Expansys. It's a bit more expensive than the one mentioned, but depending on the durability, this one could last through several different phones.

I've had no problems with it so far!

Bracketron
I got my holder, a bracketron universal holder from best buy for around $30.00
it has an adjustable grip, and can accomodate most devices. It also swivels so that I can use my tilt in either landscape or portrait.
Bracketron here also...
I didn't get the windshield mount though. The one i purchased locks on to the air vent, but bracketron makes the same mount with a flexible-arm windshield mount (suction cup), or you can buy the arm part seperately.
Very pleased with it so far: foam-rubber grip where it contacts the phone, rotates, locks tightly by simply squeezing and releases with the push of a button.
Bought it at Best Buy, $19.95 US.
Any with a power supply hookup that are made specifically for the Kaiser?

check out brodit. They have ones that allow the screen to slide out and tilt, and have a cable to charge the device.
Their US reseller is proclipusa.com. to find a retailer in another country head over to brodit.com

I didn't want to spend too much money on a windshield mount. I just purchased a mount with a built in power supply from ebay for under $20. I'll report how it holds up when I get it.

OMG! That's awesome! If Best Buy's return policy didn't suck I would take mine back and get this one.
Link
I use this one, made for the job and works really well.

My problem with the HTC tytn 2 audio

firstly i'm so sorry to bad english
and i'm not knowing if thise in the right place or not.
i need any help to make an audio cable or converter to my tytn 2
cuz in my country the accessories is more expensive and not found it easily
so
i need the tips to make that and thanks
Well you'd have to buy the connectors anyway, so I'd just buy the cable. Check eBay if it's available in your country, they are incredibly cheap (like $1 USD).

Replacement full casing/housing

I purchased one of these as the housing i had was getting very messy
http://cgi.ebay.ie/FULL-HOUSING-KEYBOARD-HTC-TyTN-II-2-P4550-P-KAISER-/180496072719?cmd=ViewItem&pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item2a0667800f
DONT BUY THIS KIT !!!
The item was listed as new but clearly most of the parts were used.
The biggest problem I had was with the front face plate.
There is a few gold "connectors" that have to be melted in the plastic.
I had to break these out of my old case and used a soldering iron to put them into the new faceplate.
There was also the gold screw holes! these were a real pain.
Again they needed to be broken from the old case and then gently heated with the iron until they melted into their respective hole.
Maybe this is what I should have expected but it would have been nice if they said a little fiddling was required for fitting.
The keyboard was also not as the picture is. It was a chinese keyboard so I just used my own.
All in all it worked out well and my phone looks spanking new but its not really a worthwhile mod given the cost and hastle.
I was also planning to buy that housing but had a second thought about the keyboard. my original keyboard is all black and doesnt have the white numpad.
thanx for the advice ! ill try to inquire from other seller.
how about this one?
http://cgi.ebay.ph/FULL-HOUSING-KEY...ewItem&pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item20b0bf01ef
A few days ago I received the same housing from the same vendor and is all ok. Mounting screw is settled and the exterior is not damaged.
Before ordering I contacted him and sent a picture of my phone. When he confirmed that everything (including keyboard) is identical, I ordered. I got the body and I get happy.
I think you had bad luck
Maybe its bad luck but eBay rules are pretty straight forward.
I was not sold what was listed in the pictured and it was not new (item had marks from use where case slides apart and also scratching.)
The keyboard was not the one in the picutes. I actually have a full black KB but wanted to go with the white panelled one in the pic.
What I got was a chinese all black KB. Useless to me.
Anyway, i got my phone rebuilt and its looks new and works great. It took a little more fiddling than I would have expected and the KB was wrong.
I left Neutral feedback for the vendor because I felt I got what I needed.

sorry to say but it is really a bad luck. lets try to be careful with items like that and inquire every detail of the item we will buy. thanks for sharing pal

[Q] Co-worker stepped on my charger - broke the dual prong adapter plate.

Does anyone here have a line on where I might be able to replace just the adapter plate?
I looked on the Acer website for support and it's...woefully inadequate.
A good, non voice jail phone number for customer service / parts?
I'd hate to have to buy the whole charger just for the plate...
Much thanks in advance!
The plate itself may be ubiquitous. Try searching online to see if you can buy one somewhere rather than going through Acer.
yeah the adapter plate is standardized I think. Try looking for travel adapter kits on eBay, I think that will have what you need.
