Bluetooth Headset Ringtone Problem With A2DP - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Hi all,
When i use "iTech Clip Radio" bluetooth handset with A2DP mode, all ringtone will play on the headset and the phone no sound play, but if i switch it to headset mode (not A2DP), the ringtone will play on the phone and the headset with play a beep sound for incoming call.
Anyone can teach me how to fix this problem.
My phone is X01HT
WM5 AKU 2.3
ROM Version: 1.23.708.4 (T.Chinese)
ROM Date: 07/24/06
Radio Version: 1.16.00.00
Protocol: 32.53.7018.01W
Thanks

i dont think its a problem, that is normal behaviour for headset and a2dp profiles in BT.
If you want all sound routed to your headset when using the "headset" profile, then yu need to route all sound to it. there is a thread for this with a hack available. seek and you shall find.

How to set the ringtone play on phone and headset when i use A2DP profile ?
Thanks

No Ring Tone when Using A2DP - Bug or By Design?

Greetings,
I'm using a Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 stereo Bluetooth headset with my TyTN and so far I have only one gripe - when the headset is connected, the ring tone somes through the handset only, not the phone itself, which means that I'll miss any incoming calls if I don't have the earbuds inserted.
Also, the ring tone sometimes does not start until about 20 seconds after the display has started to announce the incoming call.
I tend to have the earbuds hanging from my neck if I'm not listening to music, and the ring tone is not loud enough to be heard that way.
I suspect this may be by design, because it's assumed that a stereo Bluetooth headset is always in/on the ears when connected to the phone, but I want to use the 970 as my only headset even when I'm not about to listen to music.
Is there any way to get a ring tone from both headset and phone?
/POL
?
Anyone figure this one out yet? I have the same problem...
same here, anyone find a solution please post, I think I can change it from the registry I will check it.
Can I ask you folks a question relating to the use of the headset Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970 with the HTC Hermes...do you get all the functionality ie caller ID, the ability to accept and reject the call, compatible with mediaplayer etc.
I have a concern that with the headset not being a HTC product, perhaps some of the Sony functionality may not work with the handset.
Thx
From my experience the ringtones will not come to the speaker if you use the headset as wireless stereo. I only use the headset as handsfree, which makes the ringtones go through the phone.
I used the DS970 for two week with my O2 Trion, feature like Caller Display is No any problem,But when using media player sometime it may out of control, like cann't accept call and control volume or stop.
And the sound quality is acceptable, but it will stop few second after 1 or minutes, I have change the regedit.
May I know is there any way to fix it?
Still no solution?
Anyone come up with a solution to this problem? It really bugs me not to get a ringtone from the unit itself, just thru headset... Works just fine with my old mono handsfree, would be great to have it in the stereo heaseat to...
i have the same problem
hello i have the same problem
the ring sound is only on my headset i have tested with 1.13.097fr and now 1.13.234fr if anybody have the ring on the phone with a headset stereo a2dp cang give us is configuration rom and other soft for the bluetooth.
thank and sorry for my english
juste a little frenchy
There seams as if there's no solution in sight, I got the exact same problem, also with HBH-DS970 and with Jetware Mobile's "Hands-free extension" installed.
I'm still running WM5, anyone who have tried WM6?
/Fluff
Same "design feature" here with my HBH-DS970 and HTC S710 WM6 Smartphone, so it's not ROM, device or OS version specific. I would suggest this is by design.
I'm pretty sure this is by design since thats how it works on my BT8010. Its stereo so it seems to make sense all sounds go through headset although it would be nice if it was an option. The BT8010 has a button on the headset to take it out of music mode so then they will go through the phone but I guess that doesn't help any of you out much.
Another option would be to just uncheck wireless stereo in the pairing and just check it back when you want to do wirelss stereo.

any way to have ringtones on BT headset?

Hi all, I have MDA Pro with BT headset Motorola H500. When I have call, the headset just play its built-in ringtone. I have set different tones for some 'important' contact and want to listen to them on BT headset, is there any software or registry tweak can do it? I used MS Voice Command and it direct the ringtone to the BT headset, but using that program was a huge memory consuming and not useful for a non-native speaker like me. Any help would be appreciated.
PS: sorry for my bad English.
Your headset needs to support the handsfree profile not just the headset profile for this to work.
When I tap & hold on the headset icon, there are 'set as hands free' entry, click on it has no effect, anything i can do to activate handsfree? TIA.
Not unless your headset supports it. If it did, you would hear the ringtones.
I am looking at some specs of the headset, it do support both 'headset' and 'hands free' profiles. But I cannot hear the ringtone of MDA Pro just the default ringtone of the headset. Any ideas? Thx.

[Help!] Weird A2DP Bluetooth

I have used my iTech S38 A2DP bluetooth headset with my 818 Pro without a problem. And then, I have bought a Softbank X01HT. After I have paired my bluetooth headset and save as "Stereo Headphone", I can hear some icon click from my headphone. However, when I tried to play a song in WMP, the sound comes right from the speaker instead of the headset. Any clues?
I am now using Softbank X01HT:
ROM: 1.23.707.4 (Eng Version)
Date: 07/21/06
Radio: 1.14.00.10
Protocol: 32.50.7018.00H
Many thanks.
Cheers,
Bowen
Oh I have find the solution.
That's because my A2DP only supports .mp3 files instead of wma and other extensions.

Try using search as there are several posts on this kind of problem.

You can check A2DP by playing a song that is in stereo. Anything with an obvious sound in the right channel will do, as if A2DP is not working it will only be playing in mono.
Also, the little icon in the taksbar will show a headset with a music note inside of it if A2DP is working.
The sound problems you mention are probably due to the quality of the headset. Try it on another phone or try a different headset on your phone.
I am using the same ROM and radio and my BT works great. (AKU 3.3)
I use both the Nokia HS-12W and a HTC BHS 100.
A2DP will give true stereo in WMP10. Strange I found the Registry still set to mono, so I had to change that for stereo.
The call quality both incomming and outgoing is great with these headsets as well.
The HTC also allows you to use your favourite earphones as well.(3.5mm jack)
Hope this assists.
Thanks
Thanks all first.
Yesterday, I did some stupid test about the voice quality,
I used the recording function in Note to record my own sound near the TV in my home, and found it was not bad.
However, then I went out use the BT headset again, but my friend said, dont use it again, my sound really poor
After that, I bought a BT dongle to try to test my BT headwith in my computer, but the Dongle comes with the bad BT management Driver, called XTNDCoonect Blue Manager.
Do you all have the widcomm software and send it to me ?
I dont know it is against the policy in the forum.

xda neo with lubix headset. Doesn't work

Hi,
I'm using the XDA O2 Neo:
Rom version: 2.15.4.48 GER
Protocol-Version: 4.1.13.09
ExtRom-Version: 2.15.4.141
but I can't listen to music or control the device by Lubix LC-1 headset. I have try the AKU3.2 A2DP Patch and the device found the wireless stereo service. But I still can't listen to the music. What should I do in order to enable the A2DP and AVRCP in the mobile.
can listen to music but can't use the call function now
Now I can listen to music by editing the registry and upgrade the SKU or something. but now I can't use the headset as a handfree now. When there is an incoming call, I can use the headset to receiving the call but all the sound and microphone are activated at mobile. How can I solve this problem?

Click to collapse
I got the same problem. I was pairing my Xda neo and this hs, everything is fine. But I can not get any music out of it (using A2DP). AVRCP is working though.
How did you solve this problem? Did you change something in the registry?
