Friends,
This might be a repeat but I want to know how to use Internet on my laptop through the GPRS connection of my XDAII Mini. I had read somewhere that you have to install the HTC Modem Drivers which comes with the O2 CD on Windows XP, however I could not find the drivers on the accompanying CD.
Can somebody help me with the drivers & the installation instructions ?

Hi Rudegar,
The only problem is the drivers. The link which you sent does not have the drivers. It says page not found.
Can you attach the modem drivers if possible?

I currently bought a mda pro and have problem trying to connect using usb activesync to the device. I install the software but the device can't be detected. It should be able to detect the device automatically rite? Is there any procedure I should follow?
I pop in the cd it say that driver is supported with later version of window os. But mine is a xp professional.
I look on the microsoft window mobile website through this forum but don't really understand.
Please help. Thanks.
Anybody here to help????
I really dunno what should i do. I found this website and hope to get some help over here.. Please..Thank you
Damon, I had the same problem. You may have to update to the latest version of Activesync; version v4.1.0 (Build 4807) I believe.
I think I'm still having problems syncing through the USB, and am just getting by by syncing through bluetooth for now.

make sure you have activesync 4.1
make sure you have XP sp2
otherwise try reading the 2005 forum on this site
and the universal forum on this site i'm sure you are
not the first person to run into problems with that device
hello. a friend of mine has an imate jam and i have a kjam. he wants to connect his imate with his pc for gprs surfing on his desktop. can someone please point me to a tutorial thread that helps out with this problem?
thanks
Just install the modem drivers on the pc.
I'm trying to set up my Compact II as a modem for my Asus Eee (running XP) but having some difficulty. I have Activesync 4.5 installed, setup with the Compact II as my 2nd machine but not syncing with Outlook. When I use the Modem Link on the Compact II and Active it I then plug in and Windows tries to find a driver. I then insert my T-Mobile MDA Compact II CD-Rom (shared over the network) but it doesn't find a driver for it
I've successfully set this up on my Inspiron in the recent past so I know it should work, but I can't think what's causing the problem on my Eee. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Tony
Fixed my own problem! For anyone struggling to get their Compact II Modem Link function working in the future you have to force the Have Disk button during the installation wizard. Windows doesn't detect the folder with the modem driver in on the CD-Rom. The driver isn't signed so you'll have to accept the security warning. Works a treat with dial up GPRS settings over the USB cable
Hi! I'm also have the same situation. GPRS settings and ets in MDA - OK, BT connection to comp - OK, but error in modem link.
Could smb throw correct driver? Thanks!

Do you have your original CD-Rom? It should be on there but you'll need to browse to it manually.
Which model MDA do you have?
I'm sorry - have no time to visit! I haven't original CD-ROM - this is one and the main problem. I have MDA Compact II T-Mobile, with original ROM soft (11/14/05), no upgrades, no reflash. If smb have bloody driver - throw me pls!

Hi guys,
I'm having problems with getting the USPL installation to get completed.
I've had a look the following thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=312052&highlight=Vista
but the link in Step 6 seems to have been moved, so I don't know where to get the Vista to XP drivers.
Can someone please direct me to the drivers so I can finally unclock the Cid and get a new ROM on my Arte.
Thanks in advance!
i cant seem to find the old usb drivers for vista as well in order to solve the usb connection problem while flashing the rom.
can any pros around please provide some help with windows vista and the usb problem?
You're right, link in my old thread doesn't work.
This one should solve your problem:

Non function dll in vista vs xp
Guys you're right that its not possible to update or flash on a normal way in Vista. Just use an old XP OS installed pc to do this.
Good luck
