MMS setup on Suncom - Networking

My Motorola V505 worked on Suncom MMS ok.
Now I am using a T-mobile MDA on Suncom (same account). It works fine on phone and web browsing, text messages, etc. But, I can not get it to send an MMS message.
Server Name: I think you can call it anything, but I have tried using Suncom MMS
Gateway: 066.150.033.115 - tried that, also triedGateway: 066.150.033.125 which is the IP Suncom gives on their web site.
Server Address: http://mms.suncom.net:8088/mms
Wap Version, tried 1.2 and 2.0, this changes the Port number 1.2 = 9201, 2.0 = 8080
Still no send, message stays in Outbox.
Any ideas?

I have achieved some success. I can now send MMS!
The secret was apparently entering the url for the gateway with no leading zeros.
Here is what I have entered 66.150.33.115
This now sends the MMS and I have a confirmation that it was received.
I can still not receive an MMS. I get the notification, but can not download the actual message.

MMS Setting Cingular EZWAP 2.5 ?

Hi,
I have a question, it seems not a lot of people is using cingular with this phone. But I'm trying to setup EZWAP to use MMS with my phone. Does anything know the settings for it? Like push, server, etc... I do have GPRS working and the phone connects to the internet no problem. The setting I have now is:
no push (what does push mean?)
msg server: http://mmsc.cingular.com
sender address type: phone number
sender address: my phone#
When I try to send it connects to my GPRS and after awhile says send failed. Any clues? THanks a lot.

MMS Composer

Please note I am a bit of a PPC newbie! Anyway, I have a M1000 on Orange UK with 1.66.00WWE Rom and 1.10.00 Radio. For the last few days I've been trying to send (and receive) picture messages, via 'MMS Composer', with no success. (It did work when I last tried and I have got the MMS version software). Although a GPRS connection is triggered and the icon appears indicating the message is being transmitted, the messages never leave the outbox or the ones in inbox never download.
I've been on to Orange CS and checked the settings, but that made matters worse. They insisted I select 'Orange MMS' rather than 'Orange GPRS' under the 'Connect Via' drop-down selection box. That just results in a connection error message.
I'm wondering whether my MMS Composer could somehow have become corrupted and would like to re-install it but I can't find a download link. Any ideas where I can get it from? The version I have is 1.6.0.14. Also, could anyone on Orange UK please let me know how they have their settings configured. Thanks
Anyone?

A few newbie questions

I'm in the UK and have got hold of a new O2 DXA Mini S.
I'm on the Orange Network in the UK and the unit works fine in everyway except for sending mms messages.
I can make call and send/receive texts but not mms messages.
Someone told me it was to do with the fact that even thought its unlocked there is a default setting in the rom with it being an O2 branded unit and the only way to be able to be able to send/receive mms messages would be to reflash it. Is this correct?
Secondly, yesterday I noticed on the 'TODAY' screen that I had a battery status notification that has now disappeared - all I have done is to remove some software from the remove programmes section - there was one entry in there that looked like it was something to with O2 settings.
Butr I cannot find a way of getting the battery status onto the 'Today' screen now.
Or are there any free progs about that I can install that will do the same thing ?- it seemed quite useful to have it on front screen.
I have somehow managed to get rid of all the O2 branded stuff from the phone - was the battery status on TODAY screen part of that?
Thirdly my friend has a unit and on the TODAY screen by the date, the day also is shown - eg thursday 23 november
all I can get is the date. Cannot find anyway of putting the day name onto the TODAY screen.
Lastly is there a way of restoring the unit to how it was as it came out of the box?
There were two setup options when I first turned the unit on - one was for O2 customers which I accepted, as I knew it would work with an Orange SIM - the other option was a more customised option - someone has told me I should have probably selected this in order to be able to send mms messages on my own network.
Thanks
Sorry for the confusing post
mms settings
in my opinion you should make a new connection.
let orange send you the settings.
this should solve this
I've got the orange settings but it won't let me send or receive mms.
I can send text and browse internet through Orange but I've noticed there is a default O2 setting within the mms settings that the system won't let me delete.
I imagine the rom would need to be reflashed??
Or does anyone know a way of using the orangemms service on an O2 phone with an orange sim in it?
Add a new server in the mms configuration and call it orange.
Make sure it has these settings
Orange MMS settings
Access Point Name: orangemms
Gateway IP (proxy) address: 192.168.224.10
Port: 9201 (some users have reported 8080 works if 9201 doesn't)
Server address http://mms.orange.co.uk/
And make sure connect via = INTERNET often wrong
Tried that and still cant send

Just seems to connect via Orange GRPS
and if I try and set up one in the section : Settings/Connection / My work network and choose
select a modem: cellular line ( gprs)
access point name: orangemms
and leave rest blank
and select use server assigned ip address
This is what orange told me to do
It doesn't work either.
They siad its probably because I'm using an branded O2 phone ( even though its unlocked ) that I can't do the mms stuff ????
Thanks for help and contributions so far

Have orange set up your account to send and receive mms?
TMo's US settings for what they are worth
Camera Phone Picture Messaging Settings

Customers who purchased their device and network service from T-Mobile or an approved T-Mobile vendor are entitled to free Customer Care support.
Persons wishing to use T-Mobile's picture messaging service from a non-T-Mobile device must configure the device according to the settings below. Again, T-Mobile Customer Care will only provide support for devices that it sold.

Well if I put sim into my samsung d900 - i can send and receive pics ok.
They get sent ok - and if someone sends me a p[icture it just arrives with a text
( I don't have to download it or anything )
And on the O2 mini s I can do everything but send mms - ( text, calls, internet, wireless, gprs all work ok )
If I send a picture to mini s from another phone - I get text notification but it is unable to download it.
A friend has same O2 mini S on Orange network with same problem. A guy in Orange shop told him it is something to do with the ROM being made for O2 ??
I'm intersted to see if anyone in UK is using an O2 mini s on the Orange network and are able to send receive mms??

MMS how do you receive these?

I have been sent an MMS message but I cannot seem to receive it and I just get the message that it will be kept in the inbox. Can someone please tell me how to receive these type of messages? Thanks JD76

Hi john
Ok goto messages\mms configuration\servers and create new and name it o2
Server name: wap.o2.co.uk (contract customers)
Gateway IP (proxy) address: 193.113.200.195
Port number: 9201
Server address: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
Connect via the internet

modem=cellular line (gprs)
access point name = mobile.02.co.uk
user name = faster
password = password

Sorted it!!

Cant get MMS on 8525, TNT.19199

for some reason my MMS will no longer receive messages at all... I have no idea why and its not due to any changes I made because I didn't make any. I used the auto connection config on WM6.1, for ATT and USA, and my internet works fine, I can receive e-mails and send them (only after removing the proxy), but all that works, I can send SMS and receive those no issues but I just cant do MMS, or I cant receive them. Not sure if I can send them or not I haven't tested that.
Connection settings are wap.cingular user id [email protected] pass CINGULAR1 configured for that being the internet connection...
MMS settings
gateway:
wireless.cingular.com
port:
80
server address:
http://mmsc.cingular.com
connect via:
MEdia Net
send limit:
100k
WAP version:
WAP 2.0
Retrieval mode set for auto, attempts is 3, and reject msgs is NOT checked off...
Any input?
Any time I go to an ATT or Cingular store they are always dumbfounded and don't know what to do since I have a 8525 with a non cingular ROM, and WM6.1 instead of 5.
Same here
I have the same issue...
Look for Arcsoft cab file. Run it then run the network wizard again...
MMS Works Now...
Yeah, uninstall Arcsoft MMS program from your phone, do a soft reset, re-install it on your phone, do a soft reset, run the connection wizard, do a soft reset. That finally worked for me.
so the new 5.x version of mms arcsoft doesnt work with MMS's? Either way I went with a more blan ROM for the meantime, and I just ordered a 8925 so I wont be worrying about this anymore.
I have many many many
Many Arcsoft MMS Composers has diferent kind of things the 4.2.8.1 works in a separated folder for sms and the newer 5.0.70 works inside of the SMS folder so... try wahtever the 5.0.70 supports 399K and dont have WAP type (1.2 or 2.0)
Enter to this site
http://winmodevelopers.freeforums.org/portal.php
go to software for all link and download the arcsoft and mms enable cabs
