I am using MvRTrueVGA. I am using JWright's ROM 1.90.96. Are you using the same ROM? Can you make a copy of those 2 files for me?

I'm using latest O2 rom. I'd upload them but I'm replying on my Exec. I got them bundled with OzVGA on here - the "VGA files here!" thread.

Thanks. I'll look it up. I saw that thread a while back. I think I even posted something on it.
Update: Unfortunately, the files provided by Carnivor were for the AKU2 files and the 2 files I am looking for were not there. I am using AKU3.

Try these
I'm using the same ROM and MvRTrueVGA and these work for me...

Thank you very much! The WLanMgr.exe file worked. The rest of the file I already have. Thanks very much!
I still need the GPRS Setting file though...

what cab file do i need or how can i add the dailer without the O2 suff..
pleaaase help.. :?
thanks
There are two files you need to run, here they are...
HTH
Fin
thanks it work great!!!
What about the Orange ROM files??
The Orange ROM contains the Enable_VT_RTPlugin_0727_2_signed.CAB file as well, but not the other one. The other one only seems to disable call waiting anyway, so you shouldn't need it.

Didnt realise that was what it did - have removed it to avoid any confusion!
Cheers,

I've been looking at EXACTLY what each CAB file does and I keep meaning to write a post explaining, but I haven't got round to it yet. Maybe I'll get some time tonight...

Have you seen this thread...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=179142#179142
is it ok ?
To remove O2 customization on xda exec, we hard-reset & before custom install we soft reset.
Can I use the same method on MDA pro to avoid T-mobile customisation ??

How to flash Original o2 Rom without running branding

Hi,
I want to flash my XDA Orbit with WM6. o2 has the image on their page, but it first installs WM6 and then destroys many things when it tries to put everything to GPRS, so that users pay much money instead of using the built in WLAN.
I read something about flashing and then soft resetting, so that it cannot run the branding tool. The .cab files with the branding tools an Tomtom and some patches are lying then somewhere. Where?
Is this method good?
When do I have to soft-reset?
regards,
Stefan

Just as the unit starts the customisation, directly after the auto-setup routine.
HTH,
Hello,
thank you for the info. I found that out in the meantime, but where are the update files then? I`m unable to find them...

In extended ROM, if you want to take them out, it's possible to cook the same ROM and re-flash it without this part....
If you want to see this stuff, you'll need an application like Total Commander.
Hello,
thank you for the info!
Which version of Total Commander? And why Total Commander? To view cabs? This is possible with WinRar, too. But there are only the installer files and the complete RUU image. I tried TC but I got the same result as with winrar.
Or is the PDA version meant?
I want to use the original ROM from the o2 homepage, just without branding. I have no o2 SIM card, bought it from ebay. And I don't want to unlock it, because of warranty.
regards,
Stefan

Total Commander allows you to look n the extended ROM on your device I presumed you wanted to clear files out that way.

You can look in the RUU image for the nbh file (using WinRAR), then break this apart to take out the ExtROM....

Hope this helps - if not, then I've probably done what you're looking for already and could put it on the FTP site....one of the Mods will tell me if this is a no-no....
Hello again,
I extracted the .nbh file.
"for the nbh file (using WinRAR), then break this apart to take out the ExtROM.."
What to do with it? renaming to .zip or .rar doesn't result in winrar opening it...
It's the german ROM.
I want to flash it as meant and then stop soft-reset when branding wants to start (waiting 3s). And then install only the needed fixes (sd fix, cam fix etc.)

Stefan

Ah. I assumed you had some cooking tools...you need to run NBHExtract, take out the EXTRom, run Dark Simpson's HTC ROM Tool to re-constitute the ROM and then re-flash. Are you happy about all this, or did you want to stay 'official'?

Do you have a link to the German ROM somewhere? I'll happily do all this and post the file somewhere for you to pick up.
Hi,
I don't want to brick it ;-) If I flash a cooked ROM, I have to cid unlock it before. Is this necessary? The premium Rom looks nice. A german version is not available, or did I miss it?
At xda-zone where they postet this, they wrote that somewhere then lying the .cab or .exe files which are executed then. Is it not posssible to extract them? And then install them manually?
On my request where they are no one answered...
I never cooked a rom or something like that, yet.
I can give you the link, but I think you are unable to get it, because there is a serial check before dl. But you can try.
If you have ICQ, I can send it.
http://member.htc.com/ruudownload/O2Wm6SnCheck.aspx
The cam fix (found it in a forum) leads into the cam working good and the new modes are nice but often there is a message that the cam cannot be initialized. Then soft-reset helps.
Do you have the radio fix? Is TMC possible with it? With Navigon?
regards,
Stefan

Well, I'm only a trainee chef, but I can break ROMs apart and put them back together easy, without playing with the content too much - that's all you need here.

Yeah, I'm at work at present, probably couldn't get the file through the firewall... Could try emailing to me - if you PM I'll give my email address.

The way to make original TCPMP works on WM 6.1 ROMs(kaiser, G900, etc)

On some devices, if you have upgraded ROM to WM6.1, you will find that TCPMP won't work anymore.
To fix this problem, somebody has re-compiled TCPMP and makes it work again(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=380387), however this is not very useful, because some decoders such as CoreAVC still not working.
The real cause of this problem is due to the new memory management model in WM6.1, you can find some articles here: http://blogs.msdn.com/hopperx/archi...-code-sections-got-you-down-fear-no-more.aspx . In WM6.1, kernel will always try to load DLLs to high slot (not like WM5 and WM6.0 to load DLLS in slot 0), this change won't affect most applications, but DLLs which are compiled with cegcc don't compatible with it and may fail to load.
The solution of this problem is really simple and doesn't need recompilation at all, you can find the instruction here: http://cegcc.sourceforge.net/docs/faq.html#DllDoesNotWorkWithWindowsMobile6.1 to force kernel load specified DLLs to slot 0.
My TCPMP GeForce5500 Edition has used such technique to make CoreAVC(and other decoders) works on WM6.1, I guess it also works on other devices such Kaiser.

great work on getting the original build working. one question though, is FLV supported straight out the box? as that was one great thing about the recompiled build. thanks again
Yes, both FLV1 and FLV4(VP6F) are supported.
thanks and the link is dead to download it now.
Thanks.
Can you post this again on RS, or somewhere else. The link is dead.

Downloaded both versions at the website. Seems like the Alpha4 works better than Alpha4.1. Initial testing seems that many of my FLV files can be played. Will continue to test on more FLV files.
Thanks for the tips.
the equalizer is still broken with this version, one of the things I miss from the original TCPMP is the equalizer which worked but stopped working with the recompiled versions, any suggestions ?
