"3" Australia Carrier Operator Settings - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam General

Hi All,
I have an Imate Jasjam which the extended ROM has many operator setting cabs except for "3" Australia (hutchison telecom).
I know that 3 Aust sell the Dopod 838pro therefore they must have some cabs to set the device for mms, gprs umts and other services.
If anyone has the Dopod 838pro from "3" in Australia, could you please retrieve the cab files for me in your extended rom.
Its a real pain in th @ss as "3" wont help me over the phone, and thye cannot send me any settings. They were acutally surprised that the Jasjam works with their sim card, even though all hermes devices are the same. go figure.....
anyways, any help will be greatly appeciated.
Cheers,

Anyone?
Can any Dopod 838pro owners help?
Thanks
Ronny

Here is the mobile internet settings
don't have the cab but i got the settings for Three Aus
To get mobile internet
Go to settings -> Connections -> Connections
Add a new modem connection
Name the connection Three (or anything else)
Use Cellular Line (GPRS, 3G) as your modem
Access point name is "3services"
NO USERNAMES OR PASSWORDS JUST CLICK FINISH
And your internet is set up
Hope that helps

JasJam on Three
Hi All,
I am very new to this and not overly technical so firstly many thanks for the internet settings above as they worked just fine.
Secondly, would anyone have the settings to get MMS and Video etc working on a jasjam? I bought one off ebay but I am with Three network and while I can make normal calls (and now get the My3) I cannot get MMS, video calls or other 3 options working.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
dealc

Vodafone GPRS settings

Ok, I hate myself for having to do this.
Qtek 9090 on Vodafone, Rom 1.4, radio 1.12
Can't connect. Have used all the recommended settings (APN "Internet", Web, web etc.) but it's not dialing up.
I am sure that my old settings were for the device to dial something like *99#, which always worked fine.
Now I can find no reference to this, and am, basically, stuck.
Guys, I really need some help here, have run out of ideas.
(BTW, vodafone customer support are genuinely the most thick-witted bunch of invertebrates I have ever come across).
I have the same config and all works fine. in UK and abroad.
did you change the previous config, or is it a new config you are trying?
What message did you get?
Cheers

changing 3G/MMS settings after unlocking

Hi All
I've got a Tytn provided by Vodafone Spain. I'll be moving to the Uk and I'll have company phone (BT). I thought about unlocking the phone using the Internet Service (20 pounds), but after that, would it be possible to change the GPRS config in order to get it working properly (3G, MMS, etc)?. How do I do that?
Thanks for your help!
Yes, it will be possible. Just search for the right settings for your new operator after unlocking the phone. Probably you can find a cab file with the settings.

Multiple GPRS connections

Hi there
I have a tytn (WM6) on t-mobile UK with web'n'walk. I would like to buy a t-mobile.nl PAYG while travelling in Holland and use their web'n'walk scheme.
Is it possible for me to have both GPRS / SMS /MMS configurations set up in the phone at once so I can swap SIM's without any re-configuration?
If not does anyone know of any software that will re-configure quickly and simply?
Thanks!
Isn't that the network wizard specifically for this purpose?
Sorry for my ignorance, but what / where is the network wizard? Is that something already built into the ROM or a 3rd party app?
ps. I'm running Black Majik ROM
pps.. I've now located the network settings app. I'll give it a try later. Thank you for your help!

UK pay&go Himalaya settings for GPRS/MMS etc

Hi,
Now I successfuly got WM6 running I want to properly sort out my Himi to be about to MMS , browse and finally email.
I have seen so much conflicting info and setting advice I am truely lost.
I am presently on o2 payandgo and the sim definately was enabled for MMS in my old K700i phone.
Can someone talk me through whatever various new connections I must make to get the above working on o2.
I heard that maybe o2 doesn't allow GPRS browsing/email on pay&go sims. Can anyone comment ?
If anybody in the UK has got a Himi or similar running 100% with any other UK pay and go provider EG Voda, Orange , T-Mobile , Virgin , even Tesco then I
'd like to hear about it and share your setting details.
Thanks

no internet connection with vodafone Raphael

I just buyed Touch Pro / Raphael from vodafone without branding (their hotline told me) and I need to use it with my t-mobile sim card until company contract would switched to vodafone.
I can do phone calls and also got internet configuration sms from t-mobile with "correct" settings. I also can receive emails from a pop3 account,
but I am not able to start eighter internet explorer or opera to get internet access.
When I use a prepaid vodafone sim card, opera will run, of course I changed back to vodafone settings.
My problem is that I need support, because I am on a business trip in dubai and need to have internet access with my phone.
ROM 1.90.162.5 Ger
09/24/08
Radio 1.02.25.19
Protocol 52.33.25.174
Many thanks in advance!!
Many thanks for your support! I am in trouble and nobody seems able or willing to help.
I have only internet access when i go in the hotel lobby and ask someone to share his computer...
i dont really understand what you want..
you want to use internet on your phone with your vodafone sim.
But its not connecting or....................... ??????
Raphael is vodafone branded or not, I do not exactly know.
I have a t-mobile sim card.
phonecalls and pop3 download of emails working, therefore I think it is not sim locked, but even with the correct internet profile from t-mobile installed, either opera nor explorer get internet access.
Do I need to supercid the phone?
Thans for your reply!!
Hmm.. i have to say that i dont have the answere.
but maybe post this also in the Raphael part of the forum.
maybe they know.
Under HTC Touch Elf, I had to do this :
in start menu : "settings"
"connections" tab
"connection setup" icon
then select my country and operator.
I'm not sure it'll work with a Raphael one... but anyway, try it!
