Hello guys i am new here
i have been cracking my head the last couple of weeks, i am doing this interface for a swimming coach and one thing he wants it's a stopwatch with 4 smaller stopwatches with lap time and accumulated time
the thing is, i am using a acer handheld with windows mobile 5.0 and i could implement a stopwatch with the datetime class, timespan and a regular timer..
i am using visual studio 2005 for this...
now my problem, i enable the timer when i push button start, and every tick of the timer i show on screen the timespan of the time now, and when the button clicked, only problem is i can't get accuracy to the 10th of a second.. my resolution is basicaly second.
any ideas? new timers? i know there is a class stopwatch on .Net but not CF.. and i have read stuff about the API queryperformancecounter but can't quite use it...
thanks in advance
Have you tried SPB Time? I used it and can say it is a good application with one of the best WM5 stop-watches i've seen so far:

Need "only" a STOPWATCH with intermediary times ?
Try this little freeware :

Hope this helps !
Well I know next to nothing about programing using .NET (or CF) but there is a simple API function GetTickCount(). It receives nothing and returns a DWORD with the number of milliseconds since device last boot.
I think you can use pinvoke or something like that to call it from .NET application.

What is the GUI Skining application you are using that "!STILL!" shows the phone signal icon. Most GUI Skinning apps cover this info up! Please let me know I can't wait, so excited!

The picture is not a screen capture of hops's XDA but taken from oabsoftware. And you are right, I didn't notice this. We have to ask them what were they using when they took this picture.
yes please do! I see sometime people doctoring the display to make their product look nice but, it really gets a lot of people excited about something that does not exist I have seached long and hard and nothing seems to be able to do it without cover the signal bars  so I thought it might be pocket blinds a new version but they still have the old one out from years ago no update, and it doesn't work. So needless to say my hopes are high here. So keep us posted I'm sure I'm not the only one wanting this 8)
Just got this small application today and it sure made my K-Jam more fun and made it a "one hand device".
Attached is Rar archive unzip it and transfer the two files to your device into any new folder then creat a shortcut to it into /windows/startup
The functions will be activated on long presses
Enjoy

I think youre just ripping Waters piece of work here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=41060&highlight=
I am using smartskey and am very happy. Only using the remapping of softkeys left (hold=start menu) & right (hold=OK).
I also set the option to close all apps on pressing right softkey except ie calendar, phone, contacts
Have to get the latest function still . . . .
Finally the program around the world in eighty days, rezip and rerar several times, rip off the author's notes and return to where it borns... luckily the filename is the still the same.

Hey Water. You should write a program like this!
Great work btw!

Tell the author to add a function to reset the overclock speed with OMAPclock after a standby. That would be cool.
You know what would also be cool? If the app could change D-Pad behaviour so we can use it like we did in WM2003 SE. But I don't see that happening.
Hi all... Here's a free program which is a Today replacement, it's still in early beta, but it seems promising. I don't know if it has been posted in this forum, so i'm sorry about it if so.
I've tested it on my Trinity, it runs quite fast. it's still too early to be used regularly, but it's a nice concept.

woooooow!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's very coool where do you find it????
Is it a total replacement or does it run on top of the normal ui so you can toggle between the normal today screen and this app?
Nice idea, doesnt work very well, heavy on processor & lots of features not supported yet, like sound mute on/off & wifi

Click to collapse
you can toggle between the normal today screen and this one. try it, nothing is gonna happen
I already said it's early beta, many things still don't work, but it's still a nice concept
I am looking for simple applicaton which can set volume from off/vibrate/quiet to maximum loudly. I want to set up it by RunEveryday at 6am beacuse sometimes a leave my PPC with sound off all night and then system alarm can't wake up me. I know that some alarm clocks can make it but i would stay with system alarm. Anybody can help me? Best regards.
Try Wirelesstime: http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-wirelesstime.html
could anyone explain exactly how to use this? What i want to do is exactly what is described in the first post, but it seems you have to change it every hour. Is there any way to have it stay the same as it was? I know this option was available in previous versions but they don't have the option to adjust the sound. Also what are the profiles and other things in the options menu (specifically the timer there).
Thanks !!
I don't like Wireless Time espesially version 2 beacuse many people playing on my PDA and sometimes they change the settings on Wireless Time (often wifi) and my battery is dead after few hours. The insterface is not friendly for me beacuse then i must scroll every day and check what was changed. First version was better but has fewer things to control.
I found perfect application for sound control for me. It is V_Vibrate from our forum. I am using it with RunEveryday. For me working perfect.

I tried installing the CAB for the Flick Menu from Verzio Envii (an O2 XDA Atom Life variant) on my Tmobile Wing but i can't get it to run. It installs but it won't launch, nothing happens when i tap /launch it...i guess there is a restriction where it would prompt to run or not when launched on a non Verzio Envii device, tried ResHack but i can't see anything related to it, I'm not into programming so thats so far what i can only do. I hope someone would hack this CAB file to run on any device or at least on an HTC.
Btw, the Flick Dynamic Menu runs like the finger friendly Task Manager from X1 Xperia where it would show the snapshot of any running tasks, probably would be the best task manager if hacked to run on any device!
it's very nice, thank you for your share
Can you provide larger screenshot..I can't see it clearly..thanks looks interesting
Wont work for me either (Touch Dual), however on the today screen something flickers and shows all sorts of colors jabbered through each other really short (couldn't take a screenshot, that short) and it does change the left softkey (which naturally won't work). I'd love to dig into this but I'm kind of not knowing what to do, so I'll open the .exe in a hex editor and see
dont worry you posted this in the correct place. alot of things start off that way such as manilla 2d.
now all i can suggest is too check this thread and wait. somebody will come along and get it too work.
I think you have lost somthing .
My phone is Verzio Envii , I have installed the cab above, but it doesn't run.
