sddaemon.exe / cnt_event

I got around 50 of those sddadeamon. And check notification wont remove it either, anyone else got problems with those?

tap and hold on the item and then tap delete. That worked for me, just clearing the list with the clear button did not work. As you have 50 of these items, have fun

hum did that now, but i did a reset after and now all of the sddadeamon.exe is back damn

Hmmm, for me only one sddaemon event is created every soft reset, which i then kill immediately. I am sorry, son't think I can help you here.

I get one with every soft reset, but I think using the voice dial also creates one.
I use MemMaid to remove all duplicates, always leaving one.
I haven't come across more details other than it is part of the voice dial app...or how to stop it from duplicating.

PocketCM Noob help

i searched a ton of the threads and have found a lot of these questions asked, but not answered. so please if anyone can help me i am clueless with this. i dont like to touch registry stuff unless i absolutely have to, but i am willing to DL other programs like SIPChange to get stuff to work. anyway:
1. i am able to send texts via PocketCM which i think is awesome, but when i get a text, my phone no longer vibrates like it used to be4 PocketCM took over. is there anything i can do to fix this?
2. related to that one, can i make PocketCM my default text app? cuz it still pops up as new text notification and if i hit reply it goes to the WM default one
3. since ive been screwing around trying to solve these myself... i held down the phone icon, bringing up a new set of tabs, and went to the one all the way to the left. that brought up the default contacts page. now when i click on contacts on my screen, it brings that up instead of the incredible PocketCM! this is heartbreaking since i want PocketCM to be my default everything. even if i restart PocketCM it now defaults back to the Windows Contacts page...
any help at all is appreciated, thanks in advance

1. Not sure without looking into it further.
2. On my device I disabled the new text notification. Its now setup that whenever a new text msg comes in it goes to the pocketcm sms screen. The most recent msg's are at the top. Not sure how to change the reply button though.
3. Happened to me.. did a soft reset and it was back to normal again. Give that a try.
Also pocketcm has a forum on their site (www.pocketcm.com). Might wanna try there if you don't get the answers.

I cant find the settings.ini file in my programs folder, and im using PCM 0.15.

1. soft reset actually fixed this too, but im wary that it might change...
as for shekhar, what issue is that addressing? making PocketCM the default text app?

I have uninstalled PocketCM from my device and run a search with Resco to get rid off all files. The problem is when I open my phone up (green phone button) and hit the contacts soft key I get a message saying that the POCKETCM.exe can not be found I get this also with the contact button while on a call. THis is weird because from the home screen the contacts takes me to the random access version of contacts. Any thoughts?

I never encountered that problem, but to get rid of that notification queue, or completely wipe that app from your device, you can perhaps use something like pocket mechanic to delete that notifcation. Or you can install a small app called cleantemp to delete all dead shortcuts hope this helps

i think there is the "old" link to PocketCM on the Contact Button..
go with an Registry Editor to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSCONTACTS\" and change the value of "1" back.. i think it was ":MSOUTLOOK Contacts".. but not sure

Touch screen delay after wake up

Don't know if its only me:
- Press END key (goes to standby)
- Press any key (wakes up)
- Quickly tap any icon --> Won't react
You need to wait about 1 second for touch screen to be enabled. No big deal but sometimes you are quick and this kind of "retards" your intention and forces you to do a 2nd tap.
Anyone?

Works fine here. At least I need a second to reach the top of the screen.

Yup, annoyes the hell out of me, unlock the phone and use my other thumb to slide to unlock, nothing happens, have to try again and it works.

I am getting that, but is not a show stopper for me. have you try to use the 3rd party locking screen app?

i use s2u2. same problem here. no unlocking in the first one or two seconds after wakeup... does the processor maybe take some time to speed up...?

I don't think its the processor because its actually fast. Must be some internal software delay, maybe the touch screen driver 'wake up'...

Similar problem existed in the HD, i have it, and i tried out a fix posted by one of the forum members, as follows:
1.Make a file named - "welcome.not" and place this in the root of your storage card.
2. Hard Reset your device.
3. You will not be asked the screen calibaration thing, and this will solve your problem.
(How to create "welcome.not" = open notepad on your computed, and safe the blank notepad file with double quotes as : "welcome.not"
This will make the extension of the file as .not

Before making a hard reset i would wait for maybe other fixes or something as i cant imagine that HDs and HD2s problems are the same... Also i didnt figure out this bug on my old HD, even without "welcome.not"...
You can even start the screen alignment whenever you want. So what happens if you do an alignment after applying your fix? Problem back again?
Last thing: I would not recommend a hard reset with your SD-Card in the device as it ruined all my data on it. At least backup all you stuff from the card somewhere on the PC and try this fix with an empty storage card.
EDIT: I completely forgot: there is no screen alignment taking place after a hard reset on the HD2

Well that's weird because I read here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2139034&postcount=5 that it only needs a reboot and people confirmed it work that's why I was confused.

I posted an updated fix here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=587931. If you don't want to hardreset, go into the registry and find HKLM\Hardware\DeviceMap\KEYBD and look for the entry "First Calibration." If it's there and the dword is 1 then change it to 0 and manually softreset. That achieves the same thing as bypassing screen alignment. Manually aligning the screen creates this entry, which is why if you use welcome.not and then later realign your screen, the problem comes back. To solve that you have to change the reg key again. I don't have an HD2 so I cannot confirm if the reg is there or if this would work on it, but it may be worth a try.

dont have my hd2 here at the mom (repair) but would be excited about testers and answers. Just cant figure out how screen alignment and wakeup-delay go together...but the thread mentionend in post above makes me hope

But there is a PassCalibration already with value 1.

Mines has the same problem, not very often but the problem is there. After wake up the tap just does not move or register my touch and because hd2 has such a large screen, they should have put the slide to the middle or at the bottom and not all the way to the top to slide unlock the phone.

For getting the slider on the bottom, search for Dusk lock screen in the HD Apps forum, and install that and u will get it on the bottom, it looks lovely! and I have 100% belief that it will work on the HD, as its the same OS and Screen resolution.

Regarding the Welcome.not, i read in the HD forum regarding the tweak, and it clearly said to HARD REST, or Re Flash your device and only then it will work. not with a soft reset.
This is to skip the Screen Calibration which happens after a Hard Reset and that has to be skipped.
if you have done this, and later you re align your screen, then the tweak will fall off its place. Another HardReset or ReFlash will be required.
No problems doing it with a mSD full of data as i have been flashing that way since past 4 years, without any problem. But, up to u!

pckshd, what are the other key entries besides PassCalibration?

It is actually at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\TOUCH\
Other values are AlignScreenNeeded=0, CalibrationData=287,479 57,96 57,864 518,864 518,96 and some more...
These values are from a fresh hardreset, never calibrated, and actually HD2 does not prompt for alignment. So I don't think the issue is related to calibration.

1.48 ROM appointment calendar bug!

Hi all,
About 2 days running the new 1.48 ROM and found an unexpected bug on the calendar.
Bug is: Try to open a date for example 5 January 2010.
The "New Appointment" tab appears.
Press it and you will have a page where you enter the info about the appointment.
There is a button says "repeat",if you press it you have a drop down menu like that:1)Does not repeat 2)Every Tuesday(or the day of each date you select at the beginning) 3)Day 5 of every month 4)Every Jan.5.
So if you select the first one (does not repeat) and press DONE,ok there is no problem here and the appointment is set ok.
But if you press repeat every Jan.5 (the last option) the appointment is being set on the 5th of December 2010!!!This is happening on every date if you press new appointment and set it repeat every e.g. Mar.16,it will be transfered on December 2010!!
I have checked it also on my friends Diamond2 with custom ROM manila 2.5.19202525 and it has the same problem!

This is a bug with HTC 's calendar application. I've tried this using the HTC application and I too get the same issue you describe. When I try the same exercise using Pocket Informant or directly withing Pocket Outlook the recurring appointment goes on as it should.
Have you reported this issue to HTC? It's significant enough to raise as a genuine error within their software application.
The HTC application is a good attempt at a finger-friendly calendar application, but it's not too good overall if it records appointments incorrectly.

I have tried soft resets and hard resets but the problem remains.
Whoever has the same problem please refer it also to HTC!!

This is true, i do have the same bug on my Leo! It does not matter whether i open calendar through touch flo or from Windows Start menu!
My "workaorund" until now:
I set a new appointment with NO repeat option. Afterwards i click "edit appointment" und then i change it with the "repeat every XXX" option. This seems to work properly but cannot be a solution for the future!
Any solutions found yet?
