I just updated my imate jasjar to the latest rom version on their website. I'm using the worldwide english version.
For some reason I don't have the tasks and calender part of the today screen. Even if i go into settings>today there is no option to check/uncheck tasks and calender. How can I get them to display correctly on the today screen?
Thanks
I recently bought my xda mini s secondhand and it was on generic settings when i got it. MSN messenger was in the menus
I did a hard reset and loaded all the o2 active user interface and now cant see msn messenger anywhere ???
Is it a seperate download for wm5 or have o2 disabled it for some reason or am i just being thick ??
any help guys
thanks,
malty
Messenger should (unless your provider blocked it) be in the \windows folder called: "instmsgr.exe".
You can also switch on Pocket MSN
settings > today > items > Pocket MSN
If both items aren't there on your phone o2 probably doesn't want them there
ok found the app and it runs ok, weird that its been removed from the menus tho dont you think ?
thanks for the reply
I don't know if this has already been noticed but if you've got windows live on your device you can also have pocket msn running aswell but dont wanna type up a howto just incase its already done any1 want to know how

What do you mean by, "Got windows live on your device"? Is there an app, or are you just using Internet Explorer to browse to http://mobile.live.com
Rob
yes it is possible
@dny238: you can get windows live mobile for wm5 by searching the forums or form the ftp
@mrmrmrmr: indeed it is possible as i have it on mine
how to: ok i have only tested this on the htc AKU 3.3 test rom but it worked and it seems to left poket msn installed after installing windows live
basically all i needed to do was to enter the windows folder of my device and found a file called INSTMSGR with an msn messenger icon it loaded msn messenger (the old one that came with the device) and pocket msn appeared again in the start menu
please leave feedback on whethere this worked for you tell me your rom version aswell so i know which ones it willl work on and which ones it won't
will post screenshots as soon as i have time
i suppose using http://mobile.live.com you could have three email addresses going if th need be
Hey a bit side tracking but just want to point out, I've been trying windows live (the app version) on my SPV M3100. And basically it blows pocket msn, the web based Live and in fact any other messenger app out of the water. Its so easy and functional. First time MS got something right in a long while.
Just wish my wifi connection didnt cut off every time the phone went into sleep mode.
If you aint got Windows Live Messenger get it now.
( I should ask MS to pay me for the free promotion)
even easier
after fiddling with my old charmer I found an easier way to do it as the other method didn't work
go to windows folder, start menu, programs and set it to show all files the poket msn icon will apear but still won't appear in start menu so just copy and past a short cut to the same folder and voila poket msn and windows live at the same time and this does work
great if you have a personal and business email accounts and you want to moniter them both

Yeah, butt kickn
This app fixes all the issues I have with PocketMSN's email sync. Yeah!! Thanks much.

Does anyone know if it is possible to make email folders (other than the inbox) appear on the today screen on my wing? I know it can be done with Flexmail but that program makes my device run slow.
it can also be done with spb diary
Thank you. I willcheck into SPB Diary. I was hoping I could manipulate the registry so I wouldn't have to install an additional program.
I have a HTC Touch Pro, and im looking for a few programs.
First off, is MSN. With the new MSN for the desktop, it allows loggin on in multi-locations. The MSN on the Touch Pro doesn't support this. I was wondering where I can get a new version of MSN or another IM program that does support multi-locations.
Second is security. Is there a program that wipes your phone (Documents, Contacts, E-mails, SMS, etc.) when the wrong password is entered more than a certain limit? (Kinda like how a Blackberry works)
Thank you
